is "full device encryption" implemented/availiable in ICS CM9 for Defy/Defy+ ??
regards /slstr
The option is there, but i don't know if it is already working...
on latest build by Quarx: 02 Mar 2012 isn't working and the phone won't boot, it's stuck at Moto red logo
thanks for info, did you also post a bugperport in ICS/cm9 bugreport thread stating your full hardware and SBF/firmware combination etc?

Oh thanks for posting this! I was about to encrypt using today's Quarx build. I'll wait a while longer.

anyone trying this again?
atm i'll try it with the new nightly build vom mar 17.

hm, it seems that it has absolutly no effect...
---------- Post added at 05:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:05 PM ----------
...after 1,5 hours...
Last time I tried (Quarx Mar 5 build I believe) it did nothing. Wouldn't even start encrypting, just displayed an Android logo and sat there.
Is full encryption working yet?

Did you flash the zip?
* Flash Rom
* Flash Kernel Zip
* Fastboot Flash Boot Boot.IMG
The kernel zip contains a module file. That's what's missing

This is an Unofficial release, but you should find it stable for everyday use.
Directions:
Wipe Data, Cache, and system (optional but recommended, this will be the first question if you have FCs or random reboots)
Flash the ROM
Flash GApps
Download ICSBoot (not the one in the zip)
Flash boot.img in fastboot
Reboot into the system (first boot will take several minutes)

Note: That was said with tongue firmly planted in cheek, I don't truly believe it would break anything.

I flashed it, how long is first boot supposed to take? been on the CM9 boot animation for over 5 or 6 mins now.
---------- Post added at 08:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:43 PM ----------
Still on boot animation, also the notification LED is blinking orange, is it supposed to do that?

When I flash the kernel (boot.img) via fastboot, do I flash it before I flash the rom or after?

I did do it that way initally but it just got stuck at the HTC hboot splash and wouldn't go any further, I then tried to restore from my backup and had the same issue, I went into fastboot and flashed the kernel from my backup and the restored again and now it boots into the original rooted stock rom. I thought tomorrow I would try flashing the kernel first then the rom and see if that makes a difference.
Anyone else having issues with flashing this rom?

Hello!
I just installed custom ROM which was: UNOFFICIAL CM9 + 3.0.x Kernel for K-Fire.
Everything is working perfect for me except Play Store. All the time I try to turn it on I get Server Error in the middle of the screen and can't use it. I tried to find solutions on forums but it seems that nobody had similar problems or it solved by itself. I would appreciate for any help.
Thanks a lot!
did you flash gapps after you flashed the rom?

Yes, I did but wrong one. I realized that while you send me that link once again and I checked which one I should use for CM9. :good:
Many thanks!
Hello folks, this is my first post in XDA. So please forgive me if the thread is wrong.
I have recently unlocked the bootloader of my zuk Z2 plus.. (yay..!) and have been trying some new roms,
I have used AICP and AOSP AEX till now..(AEX 4.5 currently ). These are Roms are great but the only problem i faced is that the VoLTE is not working in any of the custom roms .:crying:
even though the ROMS claim to support the feature, i'm having no luck...!
Note - i had my VoLTE turned on and perfectly working when i installed the first Custom ROM. And i have performed both Clean and dirty flash.
I am unable to post any links for the screenshots since this is my first post..
Please suggest me a solution ..
Thank you in advance..

You can try flashing it again.. If you made backup of stock ROM from TWRP then restoring that will be better.
Tried stock and 2 other roms, still not working...please help
