I have noticed that the CRT animation effect has disappeared from the new software update , any way to get it back?

Id your phone set to show all animations? If yh then I don't know I myself remove it anyway once rooted.
SE replaced the screen off animation.
New screen on and screen off animation though, I like the old one hehe
It still have some effect when you turn on and off the screen but not like the 368 FW! >:-(

I follow the instruction but on res/values/bools.xml was <bool name="config_animateScreenLights">false</bool> (Already)

It's the power off, not the screen off, I think.
If we reversed it, it could also be the screen on animation.
The video says screen off and the screen blinks off with one touch of the power button.

i hope there's an option to disable tho.. we left CRT monitors for a reason.. i don't wanna have flashbacks of a screen with a behind!! lol.. but really tho.. i would like to disable that.

I installed this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1329817 & then i found this notification mod - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1352993 & installed it, it works (the mod) but its left me with the stock status bar icons... can someone compile the mod with the ICS theme files so i can have the theme with the notification mod? thanks in advance

its working fine, but the only thing is that i want to customize what widgets are there like in cyanogenmod, could you do that?

sorry really is beyond my control i literally just switched out some images and got some better images to match the ics i didnt create that mod. if you can ask the original mod creator to change the order and then let me know i will add it to the ics theme again.

i will also add have you tried scrolling the widget bar left and right it had more widgets than can be shown by sliding it
also when in landscape you can see all of them.

I'm currently using the new wbaw's GSF, but I've noticed that it doesn't has the lovely CRT effect!
I was wondering if someone could make a flashable zip that would enable this .
I'm not sure if the bug has been fixed with ZTE's 2.3.5, but on the old ZTE 2.3.4 leak enabling the crt effect breaks the zte alarm clock. You can flash the contacts addon to use CM7's deskclock, that has an alarm that works.
I was already using the cm7 alarm. Could you post a link please with the crt effect?

It's called crt off effect, so it will not activate it!
Would also like this crt effect back again,I was thinking of going back to the old firmware I was using so I'd have it back again.

FYI it is called "OFF" because it is visible when you shut the screen off
for eg in cm7 you have the choice to turn crt on and crt off animations which means when you turn the screen on or off

dunno what crt means but the boot animation is in system/customize/resource .

Ahh. I knew crt was a monitor, but I didn't put it together.
I too would like more cm7 features in stock, so I'll dig through it to try and help.
You might also want to shoot a pm at m1ndh4x0r (sorry, terrible with 1337). He seems to know enough to help on this.

On my phone CRT works. Same i use go launcher only not go locker, nothing change....

No. On the Gnex, the screen sort of collapses, whereas on the Moto X, the screen fades off. I like that.

download xposed then download Modaco toolkit, then disable crt off effect, you will get the fade away animation like moto x

Alternatively depending on if you are running a custom ROM, it may have the option to disable it. If not, an edit of the build.prop can get rid of it as well.
