Ahh. I knew crt was a monitor, but I didn't put it together.
I too would like more cm7 features in stock, so I'll dig through it to try and help.
You might also want to shoot a pm at m1ndh4x0r (sorry, terrible with 1337). He seems to know enough to help on this.

Any of these super chefs want to give us a definitive guide on how to add the CRT animations to a ROM?
I am more than comfortable with decompiling and modifying XMLs, but it would be nice to know where i am going.
Think of it this way... Whenever anyone else asks you about the animations, you can just link them to this thread and be done with it.
And yes, i have searched and there isnt much good information out there.
Even better - any way someone can create a flashable zip to add these to any rom? Now that devs are baking them into their roms,i dont see why it wouldn't be possible!

Try this flashable zip BUT before you go and do all of this, NANDROID backup your ROM......ONCE AGAIN, BACKUP your ROM.....because this is 50/50, it might work, I just tried it on sense 2.2 and it works like a champ!
Also, don't just flash it and NEVER come on here again....let me know if it does or doesn't because if it does then I'll start up a thread so others can use it....

Id your phone set to show all animations? If yh then I don't know I myself remove it anyway once rooted.
SE replaced the screen off animation.
New screen on and screen off animation though, I like the old one hehe
It still have some effect when you turn on and off the screen but not like the 368 FW! >:-(
We need someone to update this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1057556
can anyone upload a video for the new screen on/off animations?
Why Sony Ericsson changed the animation !?!?!?!?
Things like that belong to Q&A.
I liked the old animation more, too

Who known to fix it ?
Hello there!
I'm currently using the new wbaw's GSF, but I've noticed that it doesn't has the lovely CRT effect!
I was wondering if someone could make a flashable zip that would enable this .
I'm not sure if the bug has been fixed with ZTE's 2.3.5, but on the old ZTE 2.3.4 leak enabling the crt effect breaks the zte alarm clock. You can flash the contacts addon to use CM7's deskclock, that has an alarm that works.
I was already using the cm7 alarm. Could you post a link please with the crt effect?
Has it a way to activate it now?
Yes another request here, would love the CRT effect back. Thanx
has anybody tried if it works?

It's called crt off effect, so it will not activate it!
Would also like this crt effect back again,I was thinking of going back to the old firmware I was using so I'd have it back again.

FYI it is called "OFF" because it is visible when you shut the screen off
for eg in cm7 you have the choice to turn crt on and crt off animations which means when you turn the screen on or off
crt style screen off animation is in the latest version. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389364

Ok, the power button menu from Steel Blue theme looks really awesome but it's for HDPI devices. Is there a way someone can do this for MDPI phones?
Take a look here, first picture, left corner. I also attached the zip file containing the Steel Blue Lockscreen for HDPI.
If this will be done will be awesome. We'll use metamorph to apply it and it should look really cool.
Anyone?

ok, this zip files is meant for HDPI phones and contains the lockscreen/power button menu mod/port. ACE is MDPI and I was wondering if by any chance someone can convert or mod the files to be used with ACE. Then using metamorph we can apply it and have this cool power menu.
Sorry if I can't say it in other words but I don't have more knowledge on stuff like that.
WHAT IS EPM by the way?

The lockscreen is buried in a framework (presumably twframework but also most likely SystemUI, sorry, I haven't looked into this before) and would take a lot of reversing to get onto our phones. I'm sure it'll come soon, and if not, there will most likely be clones of it coming.

Cmon devs. At least port the clock font, just to make it fit with the SGS3's accuweather clock font.
I know it is not something new. Jkay and a lot of theme makers have done that before in the GB ROM

lockscreen is deep down in twframework-res.apk and it needs lots of jar files to be edited besides xml editings. and I guess is much harder than editing a xml file. even if you search for OEM lockscreen, usually end up in a theme for customizable lockscreen apps like go locker or widgetlocker.

I'm using go locker ICS theme and combine it with dandelion live wallpaper.
-first, set your homescreen wallpaper with dandelion live wallpaper
-second, go to go locker setting enable it,choose ICS theme and then go to background set in launcher background and done.
Now you have a "fake" galaxy S3 lockscreen.
Enjoy
