My friend's xperia play got blak isted, is there any way to open it to any sim?
If you mean what I think you mean then the only way it to change the IMEI number on the phone... Which is extremely illegal.

If it's a UK handset it will only work abroad if blacklisted, never work again in the UK..

it's israel version (actually, same as uk version), so it'll work abroad?
any lead in a way to change IMEI?
Changing the IMEI is ILLEGAL I wouldn't go there if I were you. It's risky, near impossible on most devices anyway. So you're best off selling it for parts or something.
Out of curiosity, how do you get an XPlay blacklisted?
brought to you by the XDA app on my badass Android toy

if it's declared lost or stolen to the network provider, they then bar and blacklist the sim and IMEI of the handset to prevent unauthorized use
Here in the U.S AT&T only blocks the sim, they don't bother doing anything to the imei

Same here in Canada
Look up on google to change it, its illegal so just dont tell anyone. You will need another phone on your carrier, an old deactivated one will do. The there is a swap process, good luck
it's my friend's phone.
he lost it and after a month find it, he got back to give the xperia back and get refund, they refused.
there's a law here in israel - you can cancel any deal within 2 weeks.
they also told him to get it fix in a private store.
any way, he gave it to me, so i broke it apart and will sell it on ebay for parts only with banned IMEI.
no use for this phone.
they - refer to orange israel.
Hi,
I thought somebody rob my phone, so I went to my network operator and they blocked it. Today I found my phone, but when I turn it on, I have no signal (no service).
Anyway they will give me a new phone, but can I somehow turn that signal on???
I tried root and Custom ROM Cyanogen 9 night but still the same. I tried SIM card from different country but still the same.
They somehow blocked my phone to turn on signal.
Please help... maybe I have to flash a new radio.
THX
No, that's considered stealing
The phone is blacklisted on their network, so its basically a parts phone now

Call your carrier back and see if they can re-activate it. They should have only suspended service. Having no connection is normal when they do that.
is there possibility to change IMEI ? yes i know its illegal but is there chance ?

It really depends on your carrier, I know Verizon will temporally suspend all service until you find your phone, unless you know for a fact it was stolen, then they will blacklist the IMEI and send you a replacement.
So unless you tell them to cancel the one they are sending you, and re-activate the one you have, then no. Basically, there is no way to get a free phone out of this.

call your carrier first.
I always seems to see people openly discussing illegal stuff in a public forum..
so best way is to call my operator and tell them that i found the phone and would like to activate my IMEI on that phone?

Hello, I have recently bought a phone off ebay (HTC Desire HD) and as it came locked to orange so I didn't notice the problem, later on when I decided to unlock it, guy at local phone shop said it's not locked but it has "faultly motherboard" and can't be fixed. I tried loads of different methods regarding this but nothing helped and I wanted to ask is it pernament "death" to this phone or it could be fixed somehow else without changing the motherboard?
P.S. sorry for bad english and lack of knowledge, but I'm learning!
The phone you bought was IMEI blocked, ask the seller if he was aware of what he was selling, because this happens when the phone is lost or stolen.

I need any help with my galaxy i bought them in internet and will works until yesterday han't signal (voice, sms, data) i think is blacklisted :crying:
Any programs or solution that help me?? thanks
Wrong section - should be in General questions. However, there are a bunch of threads with the same problem. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing you can do to have T-Mobile's unblock it; or should I say that I know of.
You can request for a refund from the seller. If you got it on eBay, get them and PayPal involve. Or just unlock it and use on another network -simple wireless or At&t. Good luck
Actually would prob be better in Q&A. Did you call tmob support? Thats the only way I know of to see if its really blacklisted.
Or maybe a yower or sim problem.
Did you root or try anything else?

I recently purchased a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium and sadly I think it's blocked. I'm very new to android phones and so I'm unaware of how to root so is there any other way to change the IMEI. Many Thanks

The safest way is to buy a new handset that isn't blocked. Changing IMEI is illegal in most countries.
