Impossible to connect to 3G or HSDPA, only EDGE

Hello guys!
I'm from Mexico and I just get a flat data plan for my Diamond but there's no way to get a 3G connection and neither HSDPA.
My carrier is Telcel.
I've already tested the following radios:
3, 5, 6, 8, 11, 14 and 18 with no succeed.
I also replaced the SIM Card for the latest version (v.4) and nothing.
I don't know what else I can do.
My brother have a Tilt and he connects to HSDPA easily; comparing the 2 devices the only difference I noticed is that when selecting the WCDMA band on the Tilt makes the connection with no trouble, but if I do the same on the Diamond, it never make the connection to the network.
Does anybody knows what can I do now?
Should I wait for a new Radio or there's no way to conect to HSDPA on my country with the Diamond?

Does your carrier supports 3G?

What 3G band do you carrier use, and which version if diamond did you get? It might be that your carrier use 850/1900mhz 3G band, and you got a Euro version diamond.

Is 3G actually switched on or are you camped to 2g? Check COMM MANAGER and make sure 3G is enabled?

I refuse to believe my phone is not compatible with the local network

1. You havent told us which phone version you have. US or the original one?
2. If you "refuse to believe" anything, your'e not going to get accurate data, now are you?

1. I don't know the version of my phone; I bought it in the US but this was before the release for US, so I'm not certain.
Is there any way to verify which version I have?
2. I said I refuse to believe that because of the great programmers that are loose in this forum; they can do practically everything they want if the device is capable; and I'm pretty sure the Diamond is compatible with this network; I'm hoping there will be a Radio version that will activate [email protected]

I forgot where to check this, but do check if your diamond is DIAM100 or DIAM110. If you got DIAM100, then it mean you got the Euro version, so no 3G for you.

Front Camera
More easy, if you have the front camera you have European Version, and not have 3G, the american version not have front camera.
Lamentablemente nos engañan permanentemente, si es cuatribanda en telefonía pero no en 3G- y según los que saben no tiene arreglo porque es un tema de hard.

Pero no te conecta a 3G cierto??? Creo que yo tambien voy a vender el mio, digo la verdad me encanta pero es europeo y por lo que veo de plano si es un tema de hardware o al menos no veo que alguien este haciendo un esfuerzo serio para ver como utilizar un Diamond Europen en 3G Americano.

No North America 3G in this version. It is not a software fixable issue. It is much easier to come to the facts when one believes...

No, no me conecta; al menos no noto diferencia de velocidad.Por algun motivo consume una cantidad enorme de batería y se enciende el icono de 3G en lugar de la E que tengo en los otros roms.

Yo tambien ya cambie con todas las rom, y checando el foro esperando a que alguien haga el milagro, pero creo que ya valió...
Lo que si, es que de todos modos con el plan ilimitado me sirve bastante bien el cel, y checa mi correo cada 10 minutos, con un uso normal me dura entre uno y dos dias la bateria. Estoy utilizando la version elite 3.0 WWE y radio.05 con buena recepción.
Ahi si se enteran de que alguien hizo lo imposible y hace funcionar la version europea con 3G me chiflan...

Screen in american version
The american version have a yellow screen (cremita) and the european is snow white. If you have both in your hands for me the european is better.

Si no usan el 3G la eropea tiene una pantalla muy blanca y la americana es medio triste y le faltan contrastes (tuve las dos en mis manos), por lo tanto analicen bien que quieren, ya que está por salir a la venta la bateria de 1300 original y queda un maquinón. Si son 3g dependientes no tiene arreglo

According to HTC, they told me that the 3G Touch Diamond that has no front camera is the same as the European version. On my phone I show an H, most of the time and E all the other times. Every now and then I will see 3G, but just for a second then ..x...then it picks up E.

Dash network operator searching

Hi,
I buy a used T-Mobile Dash, this phone comes working with Colombian operator, TIGO, i made a hard reset and the connection with the operator don't work. Apear searching.... and stay there
The phone comes with the WM6.1 080408 Final For Excalibur WWE with English - By Kavana, i flash the phone with the EnergyROM Series 1.0 21048 - HTC Snap based ROM, the HTC 6.0 original ROM and the T-Mobile 6.0 original ROM.
This phone was buyed in USA and now is in Colombia and no operator sim works in the phone, i think that are a SIM Lock, but i buy a unlock gsm from Internet, but the phone is already unlocked, the Sim Lock don't appear in the phone.
What can i do?, any one know what happened whit this phone?
My friend saidme that he leave the phone to the operator TIGO and he unlock the phone, this phone works until the hard reset.
I install some ROMS's, in the EnergyROM detects the current operator and configures de GPRS connections but still in searching

El día de ayer compré un T-Mobile Dash usado, este venía trabajando con TIGO (operador Colombiano), cuando me lo entregaron le hice un hard reset y una vez reiniciado, la conexión con el operador no funcionó. Se queda buscando....
El teléfono venía con la ROM WM6.1 080408 Final For Excalibur WWE with English - By Kavana, le instalé la EnergyROM Series 1.0 21048 - HTC Snap based ROM, the HTC 6.0 original ROM la ROM original de T-Mobile 6.0 pero tampoco funcionó.
Ninguna SIM de algún operador de Colombia funciona, pensé que era algún bloqueo y compré el desbloqueo por Internet pero el teléfono ya estaba desbloqueado y la ventana que supuestamente debe salir pidiendo el desbloqueo no aparece.
Que puedo hacer, que ha pasado con este teléfono?
El amigo que me lo vendió me dijo que eso le había pasado cuando lo trajo de USA, lo llevó al operador y este le hizo algo que lo dejó funcionando, pero con el hard reset se perdió.
Con la Energy ROM me detectó la conexión y me configuró las conexiones GPRS.

Rom to t5353+

i am new in the forum, this is my first post, and my english its not very well, so i´m sorry for errors and thanks for the patience to help me.
i buy at ebay a clone of the topaz htc t5355 with the GPS and wm6.5
all right so i at my home arrive the (i look behind) t5353+.
the cell is very fast and complete, have all the things of promisse.
But, the problem is: It dont run with the GSM network :\... can find e try to register, but dont have succes, i try at 850,900,1800 and 2100 network some one can find, other not. (850 and 2100).
so, after read a lot of post, i think that the radio version is wrong? can be this? someone have the same problem?
i think at flash the cell (i read its very easy flash it, with the bootloader power+endcall) with the new radio version, somebody have that rom? how i can change the radio? how a can backup the current version to warraty the process return?

hola willcano, yo tambien tengo el mismo problema qeu vos, el celular funciona perfecto en cuanto a wifi, gps, velocidad de procesador, pantalla tactil, etc pero la mayor parte del tiempo se queda sin señal y los SMS no los envia enseguida, sino que hay que reintentar varias veces, y para mantener una conversacion es casi imposible (por no decir imposible), ya que nunca pude hablar de forma constante con este celular.
La verdad que yo tambien estoy buscando info de como solucionar este problema, pero no encuentro nada, y hasta estoy pensando en instalarle una ROM de la radio pero el tema es que veo dificil que sea compatible con el del original y por ende que haya una para este modelo especifico. Si encontro algo te aviso, si vos tambien encontras avisame por favor.

I'm new with the excelent xperia Arc. but need some help whith the Arc, when take a picture, how can silence the camera? in the properties can find off the sound. too, I also downloaded several programs like "spy" cameras but when the picture is taked, the sound appears.
Plis exists some way tho silence when take a photo.

On my Arc (UK, unbranded/unlocked), when you're in the camera you press the menu button and a second set of options appears that includes one for 'Shutter sound', if you tap on that you have the choice of three different sounds and silent.
Do you not have that?

There is a thread on this here in general already, look around for it. You need root though.

I disabled sound without root. Just swipe from left to right when ur in the camera app, then you should see shutter sound option. Hope this helps.

In some versions of the firm, like the Hong Kong branded, the "no sound camera" option doesn't exist. Try another branding like global generic.

Yes.. You'll need to replace your firmware with uk or global generic.. Some of the eastern countries don't allow you to silence the camera...

Exactamente que quieres silenciar de la camara?, el sonido del obturador (cuando tomas foto) o la entrada del microfono cuando grabas algo?.
Es de telcel o lo compraste en otro lado?.. ya esta rooteado?

Hola rafuru, gracias por tu atencion, mira el telefono lo compre en otro lado, de hecho es de importacion (casia... aunque no se exactamente de que pais), esta libre y no esta rooteado,ahora, en cuanto al sonido, el sileciado es de la camara, pero si la camara se puede "silenciar" se extiende al video?... bueno como sea, mi objetivo es la camara, algunos amigos en los post anteriores me comentan que solo cambiando el firmware puedo hacerlo... tu que opinas, sera cierto? y de hecho si es cierto eso pues tengo algunas dudas(...jejeje..."algunas" ).

Hmm se me hace extraño..
Mira, cuando quieres silenciar el obturador, en la camara pulsas la tecla de opciones (a la derecha de home) y esta la opcion de silenciar o cambiar el sonido del obturador.
De la misma forma se puede silenciar el microfono al momento de grabar video. Yo lo hacia aun sin actualizar el firmware.

Help efs backup e977

Hello people
I have a little problem with my OG E977 , which in Venezuela 3G connection does not grab me , I only 2G connection .
I've tried everything , I've placed the rom stock factory , the KDZ e977 of Venezuela 20A and still have the problem, have placed him my backup as well as modem and the sais , but still can not use the 3G connection.
I have been told that the only way to fix it, is that someone pass me your efs backup, and thus change my imei , to see if in this way can fix it.
Anyone who can help me, thanks in advance .
I guess it has to be someone other than Venezuela , or no longer possess this phone .
The backup has to be the E977 , probe with e975 and it did not work

Hola, en la parte de redes puedes detectar las redes 3g de movistar y movilnet? parece mas un problema de hardware, has cambiado alguna vez la carcaza trasera o abierto el cel para algún cambio de pieza? las antenas se conectan mediante contacto y están en la parte trasera.

Buenas noches amigo.
No, el telefono nunca lo he abierto, en redes me salen las 3, pero todas GSM (2G), intente abrirlo, pero no puedo, saque los 2 tornillos de abajo, pero la tapa o es dura, o no se la manera correcta de abrirla.
La idea que tengo la saque de este post en Htcmania http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=836255 en el cual indican que el metodo que logro solucionar mi problema era con el cambio del efs.
