[Q] 3G and Apps Connection not working after flashing CM7

Hello,
I'm from Peru. I just flashed CM7 1.0-RC1.5-jordan-signed to my Defy, everything went well but I couldn't get phone calls or 3G to work, so I changed the baseband to Brazil Claro (couldn't find the one for Claro Peru). Then Phone and sms worked fine but no data connection at all. I managed to manually change the APN parameters with a Claro Peru web tutorial and the "H" finally appeared.
However, I can navigate over browsers (opera mobile and android stock one) but apps cannot connect. And I mean every app (K-9 mail, Gmail, Facebook, BT Gangsta game, and anyother that uses data connection).
It has to be with the baseband or apn parameters are wrong? Anyone with similar experience? Do I have to fix or flash anything else?

1.> My defy keeps on loosing signal. And when I do manual search for network, it gives me airtel and Idea but not Vodafone. All other people are fine on Vodafone.
2.> No edge. Getting G instead of E in the notification area
3.> SMS do not have threaded view.
4.> Music player no longer displays lyrics as it used to do in the original.
The original version was: 3.4.3-36-1.7
Apart from these issues, everything is working just perfect. loved the overall look. Much better then the original.
So any help will be highly appreciated.

As suggested in another thread, deleted the Cache and delvik cache as well.
Signal strength is still very weak and is failing to detect network after every 1-2 hours.

I'm from Peru too, so there is no point to respond in English, i guess... mi defy primero tuvo el RC 1.0 y me paso lo mismo, solo tenia wifi y no se conectaba a nada mas, de ahi investigando llegue por fin al APN, pero aun asi no se soluciono nada, investigue un poco mas y llegue igual q tu al tema del baseband, la verdad yo tb probe primero con el de brasil, pero no me soluciono casi nada, por ahi consultando me pasaron el dato que con el baseband de china todo iba ok (China RT 0.26.0_1.11.0) asi q lo puse y desde de ahi todo me funciona sin problemas. Como adto extra, hace una semana lo subi a RC 1.5 y la configuracion se mantuvo, pero si has leido por ahi veras q a algunos le daba problemas con el wifi (me incluyo) pero una vez instalado el nightly todo se soluciono

ES: Estoy seguro que el no es el unico con este tipo de problemas, y la respuesta podria funcionar para mas gente. Asi que bueno, si hay "punto" en responder en ingles. Sin mencionar que es un foro en "INGLES", creo que las normas de XDA son explicitas..

Well, It wasn't my intention to be rude or sound like that, I just said that I had the same problem and using a chinese baseband (China RT 0.26.0_1.11.0) solved it. I also said that a week ago I installed CM7 RC 1.5 and I had wifi issues (dc and rc a lot) but installing the nigthly version fixed it.

I managed to make it work with the brazilian claro baseband, but had to manually set the APNs again. Now my Defy is working just fine. Info on how to configure the APNs for peruvians using CM7 is found in the peruvian Ideas Claro site. Just google 4 it, is self explanatory, but if anyone has trouble finding it, I'll be happy to post all here.

Hello guys, I'm from mexico and I have a Lumia 900 with CLaro from Perú. My problem is I want to use it here in Mexico but the phone keeps asking me for a code. It says I should ask my operatior (Claro) but I don't think they want to give it to someone from Mexico. Any ideas? Can anyone find out the code or know something?

Buenas espero q todos anden bn tengo un HTC Desire q compre en la calle ps el cell tiene instalado el super user ok se supone q este root hase tres dias trate de instalar un room y nada salio aborte y nada resetie y subio pero cuando subio a su rom normal salio sin senal y sin internet y si salia era bn bajito pero nada llamamos hoy a Open Mobile y lo reseteamos y el cell anda bn ahora el problema es q se resetea solo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nose pq quisas hay q hacerle un flash o algo q puedo hacer gracias por su ayuda

Well, my phone is a LG L35 (D150) from Telefónica Movistar with Android 4.4.2 and I'm looking on the internet like crazy how to root my phone.
I have months looking for a thousand and one ways, and for being a rare smartphone, do not find any way to apply the root. I used Framaroot and Towelroot and they do not work even use tools for root and click Kingo Root, and others, but does not work.

Tengo ya varios meses buscando de alguna manera y no encuentro nada, ya que el equipo es raro, no hallo modo alguno de aplicar el root. He usado Framaroot y Towertoot, pero no funcionan. He usado herramientas como Kingo Root o de esas otras que te permiten hacer root desde una PC y nada, nada que funciona.

Hi, bro. First of all, you can't comment here in another language that it's not english. In second thought, try the Kingroot, it's an alternative. It roots your phone but the only thing is that doesn't use SuperSU, use Kinguser, but work well for a basic use of the root. Have a nice day and good luck finding a solution

Rooting your phone IS reversible. Be careful when doing though because if you mess up you could brick your phone (break).
What language do you speak? If you speak Spanish, I can explain it to you that way because I speak Spanish somewhat fluently.

y le comento que tengo este lg g3 que la verdad me dejo bastante conforme, pero quiero optimizarlo un poco, empezando por la camara me parece que el problema es que tiene pocos fps... si la muevo un poco la imagen es muy borrosa y quiero solucionar eso...
por eso mi pregunta sobre el root, porque vi 1 apk que mejoraba la camara a 60fps que seria algo bueno ya.. si sabe como mejorar la camara y me puede ayudar se lo agradezco.
Despues quiero ver como optimizarlo en general, hay ciertas cosas que en momentos se pone lento por ej.. desde whatsapp si quiero enviar 1 video la galeria se muestra de una manera demasiado lenta y nose porque tan lento. no lo hace con fotos solo videos
Cuando usted pueda si tiene forma de ayudarme desde ya se lo agradezco.

Primero, Yo muy recomendarÍa a raÍz [root] tú teléfono. Hará tú teléfono mejorísimo! Habrá más personalización.
Puedes mucho tutoriales para raÍz a la internet. Si necesitas ayuda, Puedo intendo mejor.
Después raÍz puedes descarga G3 Tweaks Box por más personalización. Yo muy recomendarÍa él: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.ptoti.g3_tweaksbox
También ahi esta un aplicación fixar la cámara: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2778570 , que necesita raÍz.
Espero puedes entender ese, y espero ese ayunda.
First, I would highly recommend rooting your phone! It will make your phone better and there will be a lot of customization!
You can find many tutorials on the internet, but if you need help I can try my best.

Estuve mirando para rootear mi telefono pero nose que guia usar.
Le dejo la info de mi telefono, si sabe cual corresponde para rootearlo le pido el link

Y sÍ rootear es reversible!!! Voy a explicar despues tengo tu numero de compilacion.

Yo no soy familiar con PurpleDrake porque yo no puedo doy USB Debugging trabajar... Dime el completo numero de complacion. Debe decir algo como "KVT49L.A1407411578". Yo necesito este porque creo hay un manera mas facil rootear tu telefono! Despues iria en mas profundidad.
Triste este es toma mucha tiempo.
I am not familiar with PurpleDrake because I could not get USB Debugging to work.. Tell me the full build number. It should say something like "KVT49L.A1407411578". I need this because I believe there is a mucho easier way to root your phone! After I will go into more depth.

Quite solo "version de banda base" porque siempre dicen que no pasen ese dato, y la version de android es 4.4.2
Remove only "version baseband" because they always say they do not pass that data, and android version is 4.4.2

ya habia visto ese link, y el mio seria el D855AR 10C pero no habla nada sobre la compilacion, si el root es con "stump" agradecere una guia, y pregunto nuevamente con "stump" es reversible el root?

"stump" es que usé! descarge a tu telefono y solo golpear el "root" boton!

Stump is what I used! Just download it to your phone and hit the root button!
After, download root check to see if your phone is rooted. Then download SuperSU for root to work.
