I buy a used T-Mobile Dash, this phone comes working with Colombian operator, TIGO, i made a hard reset and the connection with the operator don't work. Apear searching.... and stay there
The phone comes with the WM6.1 080408 Final For Excalibur WWE with English - By Kavana, i flash the phone with the EnergyROM Series 1.0 21048 - HTC Snap based ROM, the HTC 6.0 original ROM and the T-Mobile 6.0 original ROM.
This phone was buyed in USA and now is in Colombia and no operator sim works in the phone, i think that are a SIM Lock, but i buy a unlock gsm from Internet, but the phone is already unlocked, the Sim Lock don't appear in the phone.
What can i do?, any one know what happened whit this phone?
My friend saidme that he leave the phone to the operator TIGO and he unlock the phone, this phone works until the hard reset.
I install some ROMS's, in the EnergyROM detects the current operator and configures de GPRS connections but still in searching

El teléfono venía con la ROM WM6.1 080408 Final For Excalibur WWE with English - By Kavana, le instalé la EnergyROM Series 1.0 21048 - HTC Snap based ROM, the HTC 6.0 original ROM la ROM original de T-Mobile 6.0 pero tampoco funcionó.
Ninguna SIM de algún operador de Colombia funciona, pensé que era algún bloqueo y compré el desbloqueo por Internet pero el teléfono ya estaba desbloqueado y la ventana que supuestamente debe salir pidiendo el desbloqueo no aparece.
Que puedo hacer, que ha pasado con este teléfono?
El amigo que me lo vendió me dijo que eso le había pasado cuando lo trajo de USA, lo llevó al operador y este le hizo algo que lo dejó funcionando, pero con el hard reset se perdió.
Con la Energy ROM me detectó la conexión y me configuró las conexiones GPRS.

¿sabéis si es la misma que tiene imate? No quisiera perder funcionalidad. Por otro lado, ¿que ventajas aporta?

la version de extended rom es la que venia de fabrica junto con la rom 1.13. Concretamente la version de ext. rom es la 1.13.175 ESN.
si alguien tiene alguna rom o extended rom nueva, que lo diga, por favor.

I have a M5000 (was locked to Amena operator, but now is unlocked, thanks to buzzteam)
My current versions of ROM:

Fecha de ROM: 11/25/05
Version de Móvil: 0.00.00
Version de Protocolo: 42.37.P8
Version de Ext_rom version: not show, appears in blank.
I think (please correct me) this ROM is very slow, (but it works well) and i prefer to replace to fastest and newer ROM, (perhaps a Qtek 9000 ROM)
I have download this file:
UNI_AKU3_2_WWE_IVAN_rc1_public.rar
but i don't know if that is the correct, and i think is needed to upgrade before the bootloader, but not sure what file i need.
¿can anyone help me?

Estos ficheros citados en el anterior post son completamente válidos para actualizar y convertir la AMENA M5000 en toda una Qtek 9000, es infinitamente más rápida y mejor en todo.
también se elimina la imagen de inicio de aMnea en la pda.
SE ACONSEJA 100% EL CAMBIO A ESTA ROM PARA TODOS LOS AMENA M5000 !!!!!
y para una v1640 de vodafone?? se puede??? pq me baje una pero me decia q no por el idioma...
Hola, te aconsejo te descargues desde el ftp de xda la ultima version aku 3.2, lo malo es que esta en ingles, pero es la mas fiable...

En el último enlace tened cuidado pues en ese foro no está permitido hablar de cambios de idioma de las PDA (aunque a veces se hace un poco la vista gorda)
En los dos enlaces primeros podeis preguntar con total libertad (salvo de piratear programas)

Tornadijo, majo, si me echas una mano con esto te adoraré un par de meses. Si puedes hazme una receta de como cambiar la rom; primero encender la m5000 luego dar a tal boton, después un cafelito, luego hacer doble clic aqlic y luego allic,... en fin como para inútiles y cobardes (que es lo que soy yo con esto de la informática) Thanks for your support. Mi M5000 tambien va lenta de pelotas y viniendo de Palm es todavía más desesperante. Gracias.
Pues es bastante sencillo:
- Quitas todo, sim, SD, MMC...
- Abre el activesync ve a Ajustes de conexión y quita todo lo referente al USB.
- pulsa "luz" + encendido + reset
- La pantalla no se encenderá, pero saldrán unas letras
- conectas el usb
- Ahora en el pc tranquilamente ejecutas los programas pertinentes
Lo he puesto de cabeza pero creo que no falta nada...
Ha funcionado perfectamente en mi M5000, realmente recomendable.

Hola, me gustaria cambiar mi rom a español y desbloquear el telefono, pero tengo dos problemas, el primero es que me sale nada mas conectar el telefono que le falta unos drivers de pocket pc usb, y yo no los tengo por ningun sitio, lo segundo, cuantas cosas debo hacer para cambiar una rom? que programas uso y de donde los puedo bajar? yo he descargardo el que habeis puesto UNI_QTEK_130100_190_10900_ESN_Ship, tambien he oido algo del firmware radio o algo asi de buzzteam, estoy hecho un jaleo y no se ni por donde se empieza.

gracias, entonces tu crees que es mejor instalar la version de vodafonne que la de qtek Cazstellano) o imate (inglés)?
había oído por ahí que la de qtek es bastante estable y que la de imate es la mejor (pero está en inglés) y que las versiones de los operadores telefónicos son bastante lentas (la mía de movistar da buena fe de ello...); ¿aún así sugieres la de vodafone?

Hola.
Yo e puesto en mi V1640 (y/o otros modelos o nombres) y estoy ya con el AKU 3.5 y funciono de maravilla rapidez mejores programas, la radio es 1.14.10 pero en ingles, le puse la TrucQteka v1.0.3 y me va de maravilla, os aconsejo actualizar los trastos y vereis que el viento os sopla a favor..

en proncipio de vodafone no hay 3.5, pro probe la de htc, qtek, imate y me quede con la de O2 que me parece la mas estable y rapida en su arranque, sobre los trucos, creo que es mas a gustos...

El problema es que no hay (que yo sepa) ninguna rom del WM6 en español para la 9000. Nos tenemos que conformar con el WM5. Y ya que no se fabrica más esta máquina es dificil que alguien se anime a estas alturas a cocinar una.

Si tienes un HTC (y no un T-Mobile o de cualquier otra marca) puedes ingresar al sitio de HTC, hacerte miembro del Club y bajar actualizaciones, hasta donde se ahi esta la actualización para idioma español, pero yo no puedo verificar esto porque tengo un T-Mobile!
Ahora una recomendacion, es siempre bueno escribir lo mismo que has puesto en español en ingles de tal manera de todos entendamos la pregunta y a lo mejor hay alguien que sepa donde esta.

If you have a HTC (and not a T-Mobile or any other brand) you can log into the HTC and become a member of the Club and then Download upgrades, so far I know there's and update for spanish, but I can't verify this since I have a T-Mobile!
Now a recommendation, is always good to write the same you had written on spanish in english, in that way everybody understands the questions and maybe there's somebody that knows where the upgrade is.

Hola, yo pienco, que si buscas en el HTC sita, puedes encontrar un ROM que esta en espaniol, so no puedes usar un ROM de otro device y lo puedes configurar para el excalaber. Como el i670 o el caliver o un smartphone asi. Si no usa el ROM de HTC y ver si puedes cambiar el lenguaje a espaniol. Ay algunos ROMs que teinen espaniol pero uasn ingles primero. Tambien puedes esqulcar en modaco.com ayi tabien teinen ROMS y programas.

i am new in the forum, this is my first post, and my english its not very well, so i´m sorry for errors and thanks for the patience to help me.
i buy at ebay a clone of the topaz htc t5355 with the GPS and wm6.5
all right so i at my home arrive the (i look behind) t5353+.
the cell is very fast and complete, have all the things of promisse.
But, the problem is: It dont run with the GSM network :\... can find e try to register, but dont have succes, i try at 850,900,1800 and 2100 network some one can find, other not. (850 and 2100).
so, after read a lot of post, i think that the radio version is wrong? can be this? someone have the same problem?
i think at flash the cell (i read its very easy flash it, with the bootloader power+endcall) with the new radio version, somebody have that rom? how i can change the radio? how a can backup the current version to warraty the process return?

hola willcano, yo tambien tengo el mismo problema qeu vos, el celular funciona perfecto en cuanto a wifi, gps, velocidad de procesador, pantalla tactil, etc pero la mayor parte del tiempo se queda sin señal y los SMS no los envia enseguida, sino que hay que reintentar varias veces, y para mantener una conversacion es casi imposible (por no decir imposible), ya que nunca pude hablar de forma constante con este celular.
La verdad que yo tambien estoy buscando info de como solucionar este problema, pero no encuentro nada, y hasta estoy pensando en instalarle una ROM de la radio pero el tema es que veo dificil que sea compatible con el del original y por ende que haya una para este modelo especifico. Si encontro algo te aviso, si vos tambien encontras avisame por favor.
