Hi everybody
I post there because I'm not allowed to do so in "Xdandroid dev" section
Today, brinka123 posted a patch for Rhod100 camera's issue
Good new, the camera now works (excepted for exposure wich is not recalculated when zooming)
Bad new: Wifi no longer works...
Thanks to all devs my TP2 is near to have a new life...
I had a similar problem with my rhod300, I couldn't get wifi to work either, so I tryed deleting my data.img and after that it worked again.
HOWEVER, deleting your data.img will delete all of your phones settings/customizations. So I would advise to simply rename your data.img to something else and just letting the system create a new one on the next boot to android just in case it doesn't work.
Steps:
1. Boot into windows and connect to a computer
2. View the files on your phone and find the data.img and delete it.
3. Reboot into android and see if it works.
Hope this helps!

I think the problem is due to the use of an "old" kernell in wich Wifi was not fixed.
I saw on another forum that "Sir Brinka" attacked the problem only one month ago, starting from nothing!!!(well not exactly, but you see what I mean...)
Xdandroid devs are trying to reach him and submit his patch for a very next release.

Then.... update your kernell? Or am i misunderstanding?
Yes, that's it.
Actualy the problem is the modules wich fixes the camera have been made by someone and the best kernell have been made by another one.
The good modules must be integrated to the good kernell and the kernell must be recompilated.
To do so, the devs must have the sources of the modules (but Brinka is not of the dev team and seems having tons of problems to send his work to them).
When this will be done, we will have a new kernell working Wifi and camera "out of the box"
Thanks for the explanation littlebigtux, also the team can't or will not explain how the kernel is exaclty compiled, and with what toolchain and verion. I made a clone of 146 kernel (Wifi works) compiled it and outcome is not the same as the original kernel. That's why a different haret is needed also..
But I am happy the camera works on a 300 also !!!!!!!!
Lets wait for a new official kernel..
Realy the change is so simple.

Well, I certainly would be in the "can't" category.
It seems we need a wiki page of the complete kernel build process. We have a good one for the system image, but I don't think there's a complete end-to-end method/wiki page on how to compile a kernel.
I shall work with GlemSom and others to hopefully make a complete page on this topic.
Thanks for your hard work brinka123, I hope to see your patch soon!
Hi all! In last post from brinka123 in his thread i download his kernel version 3 and good news - wifi working, camera working, bluetooth pairing with my pc but i can't send file to phone. Audio bluetooth will test later.
Will be great if all developer start work together and they can make best kernel ever and soon all ported android devices can using NAND.
Hope on this.

freefall12 already wrote info's about the CM9 version for LU6200 in the thread call record empty on 404 stock.
I really think we need an own thread for this.
http://bbs.fengbao.com/thread-997843-1-1.html
I downloaded and flashed it today and must say, very impressive.
But there are bugs no question, not suitable for daily usage now.
Guess if the nightly-time is over that could be a very good ROM.
Some issues i found for the short time i had it:
- Camera cant connect (closes with FC)
- Videoplayer freezes
But things i really like is the design and the languages where i can choose from.
One question, dont know if someone have a solution. Since i had to flash the engineer version of ICS to get root, is it possible to just flash the ICS and after that CM9 with root?
Yes, base on the engineer KDZ, not ICS KDZ.
In fact just need the bootloader based on engineer version.
i'm not sure what you want. but you can easily go back to official ICS using CWM recovery, without reflashing the whole kdz or the other way around. is that what you're asking for ?

jxxhwy, i'm curious about what changes you've made to the CM9 kernel? thanks for the great work!

based on the above compiled, modify some scripts files and kernel source file。
you just made some modifications to the kernel and no changes to the ROM? you compiled it on ubuntu 12.04 ? i'd be grateful if you elaborate!
CM9 is still not fix vibration & 3G.

No, sorry if i didn't make it clear enough... if i go back to stock ICS, on the first LG bootscreen it still shows "engineer version".
Because i had to flash the engineer version (KDZ) before i flashed the ICS in order to get root and CWM after that.
So how does it work if i come from GB 2.3 to CM9... just flash the ROM in CWM?

if you upgrade to CM9 from GB,you will need to flash engineer version's mmcblk0p7 and ICS cwm recovery first.otherwise your phone probably will not boot and recovery will not work.that's because the mmcblk0p7 part is responsible for bootstrapping. hope i made myself understood!
OMG.. I thought CM9 would never come.. A Korean guy is also porting the AOKP to LU6200 and heard it's also in quite usable state. I'm restarting my phone to make a nand backup.

I really like the CM9, hope soon it will be stable. Right now if i connect via USB there is no dialog appearing, asking me to choose mass storage or any other option. My USB drivers are ok, it also connects without any problem in CWM.
An older version of this CM9 (19.06.2012) didn't have this issue.

No issue with SMS so far, but i'm back to ICS now. If GPRS/DataNetwork would working, i would really use the CM9.
I have no clue about the P930 vibration issue.

I spent the entire day yesterday trying to make Android Revolution HD work on my I317. At the end of the day, success ! and here is how:
Please do not experiment with this stuff if you're not familiar with partitions and the way things work. You do run the risk of bricking your device permanently if you don't know what you're doing. I'll write this so that developers can start porting their ROMs to the LTE variants.
The two devices are identical except for the modem (and rild files) and the GPS initialization at bootup.
1. You'll need to rewrite the updater-script in most CWM flashable ROMs to make sure.. again, MAKE SURE that you do not flash anything else except /system /data and the boot partition. Overwriting your modem partition with a modem from the N7100 phone or the bootloader partitions will blow up your phone. You've been warned ! The partition labels and numbers are identical so you won't have to change that.
2. Make sure you bundle a kernel (boot.img) from one of I317/N7105 (depending on which device you own). Obviously we're talking about TW kernels here so for example stock JB kernels or Perseus will do just fine. Do not flash boot.img kernels from the N7100 section.
3. You'll need to add and remove a bunch of userland library files from your device. I won't attach these files here but you can grab them from any I317/N7105 ROM:
Files to ADD/REPLACE (Yes, every single one counts as they're dynamically linked). The stuff in /system/bin are started by the initramfs in the kernel so add them all in as well:
Code:
./system
./system/bin
./system/bin/qcks
./system/bin/sec-ril
./system/bin/qmuxd
./system/bin/efsks
./system/bin/diag_uart_log
./system/bin/netmgrd
./system/bin/gsiff_daemon
./system/bin/ks
./system/bin/rild
./system/bin/qmiproxy
./system/bin/secstarter
./system/etc
./system/etc/gps.conf
./system/lib
./system/lib/hw
./system/lib/hw/audio.primary.smdk4x12.so
./system/lib/hw/gps.default.so
./system/lib/hw/audio_policy.smdk4x12.so
./system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
./system/lib/libnetmgr.so
./system/lib/libaudio-ril.so
./system/lib/libloc_api_v02.so
./system/lib/libril-qcril-hook-oem.so
./system/lib/libqdp.so
./system/lib/libdsutils.so
./system/lib/libqmiservices.so
./system/lib/libqmi_client_qmux.so
./system/lib/libloc_adapter.so
./system/lib/libqmi_common_so.so
./system/lib/libqdi.so
./system/lib/libqmi.so
./system/lib/libcsd-client.so
./system/lib/libloc_eng.so
./system/lib/libqmi_encdec.so
./system/lib/libqcci_legacy.so
./system/lib/libqmi_cci.so
./system/lib/libssaudio-client.so
./system/lib/libidl.so
./system/lib/libril.so
./system/lib/libqmi_csi.so
./system/lib/libdiag.so
./system/lib/libdsi_netctrl.so
./system/lib/libgps.utils.so
./system/lib/libgps.so
To remove !!! Moi importante !
Code:
./system/lib/hw/gps.exynos4.so
If you don't remove that GPS exynos4 file, HAL will load it and never the gps.default.so file so your gps won't work. Took me three friggin hours to figure out.
4. Lastly, you'll need to change build.prop so that it loads our RILD files instead of the N7100's:
Code:
replace
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so
with
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
5. ???
6. Profit.
When I get sometime, I'll try to port CM10 from the N7100 tree. Done.
im going to try this I hope it works thanks

I don't think that will be possible until we have an cm10 kernel built for our device first, can't switch in a TW kernel for their cm10 kernel without possibly bricking our phones
And to the OP of this thread:
Great work man, I know they were having a little trouble getting the roms to port on our IRC channel, hopefully this opens the flood gates for more rom possibilities :good:

I'm going to port the standard CM10 that is available at github.com/cyanogenmod Once this is completed, then we can incorporate that to all AOSP based roms.
The kernels are actually pretty close to each other. (have a look at the defconf for details). What's different is the initramfs and the userland binaries/libraries. I'll have a look at it but I need to get this audio going on TW roms first.

I can't post to the thread because I haven't posted enough on XDA to post in developer threads yet apparently. Needless to say the latest PAC MAN release, wifi is broken.
There is one person who asks "Why is wifi still broken?" but it seems to have been glanced over. I have fully wiped and installed, and Wifi is in a permanent state of starting, scanning, turning off, turning back on, scanning, turning off, turning back on, scanning, ... in an infinite loop. It did this when I upgraded from 20.0, and did it after I did a full wipe as well.
I'm trying to find a 4.2.x rom that has preferably all the hardware working (wifi, camera, and bluetooth being the most important short of the phone functionality) that doesn't suffer from the random lockscreen reboot. If someone has a suggestion on which PrimoC Rom fits that bill please let me know.
I apologize for not posting this in the appropriate place, but I'm not allowed to post it in an the appropriate place until I post more.

everything else ive tried either just flat out wont boot, has broken WiFi or some other issue. and due to most of the links being broken on this forum its very hard to track down any of the hard work thats been put into this little wonder.
any help with links to actual downloads would be greatly appreciated!
im by no means a flashaholic so i dont need recovery baked in or any thing crazy. i just need OC with large data Partition & working Wifi. :fingers-crossed:
Sadly your best option for kernel is Doomkernel released April of 2012. I don't believe lupus ever made a working cdma kernel. I may be incorrect. Before switching to a GSM play. I was on the R800x. Sadly your options are limited. 90%+ of the devs here used GSM.
I would look for doomkernel for cdma and then perhaps a search for lupus cdma kernel. If I were at my computer I'd do a quick sear h and post results here or send you my doomlernel and wifi modules to you in a link. As I kept all my cdma files.
If you want them let me know and later today I will post a link here for both.

really do appreciate the links, but been to all those places before with not much success. mostly dead links in the OP. i did find a few members posted links near the end of the threads before they get "locked" to mediafire etc but even some of those are dead too or have the Kernel but not the WiFi modules...
my prob with all the different DoomKernals ive tried is they have all been the smaller partition size. also boot times seem to be randomly very long for some reason. like some times more than 3-4 min just in the post screen before even loading the OS. (from what ive been able to get my hands on anyway)
however if you do have files of a nice Doomkernel with the larger data partition size with working Wifi modules id be your best friend! :highfive:

Okay, sorry for the wait. This link contains a zip that has both the last release kernel and wifi modules in a zip format. Just uncompress the zip and copy the wifi modules to your sdcard, then use fastboot to flash the Doomkernel CDMA kernel to your CDMA PLAY, afterwards enter recovery and flash the wifi modules so you can use your wifi.
This link will always be here, I wll never again remove it. let me know how it goes.

You are welcome, I also posted this same link in the DoomKernel CDMA thread so that everyone can see it and obtain it for themselves.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368636&page=28
PLease do let me know how it goes. I have been trying to compile a full FTF list for posterity and I perhaps I should do the same for other files as well:

those totally worked. wifi and all!
sadly tho its a kernel with the smaller data partition (not 600mb+) so with both being OCed @ 1.6ghz, i don't really see much of a reason to use it over the Kernel i linked in the OP. the one in the OP seems to have better WiFi performance (if that makes sense?), doesn't require any extra modules to flash and it boots in a few seconds vs the Doom Kernel taking 30-90sec randomly to post before it even hands over to the OS.
i have the files saved now just in case and even tho i dont plan to use them much i really do appreciate you taking the time to upload them for me.
i did get Turbo Kernel working (including wifi) with Slimbean but i cant seem to get Turbo Kernel to have working Wifi with GB ROMs. i really love Turbo kernel. something about it seems so FAST on GB ROMs. but i cant live on 3g in my area and it seems Emus run at about 50-75% of the FPS on JB ROMs.....
i know, i know.... FWP right? lol
thanks again for you help.

Your welcome. Yeah unfortunately when DoomLord made this kernel no devs had figured out the larger system partition yet, or it wasnt available at that time. So yes DK only has the 600mb limit and you do have to manually flash the wifi modules where later kernels its done automatically on boot.
You can use Lupus Kernel but the wifi only works on Statis IP, instead of DHCP. Good luck. And if you got other questions your welcome to contact me I will do what I can.
Im runnin the teamspr rom with skyhigh ive tried snapse and trickster. And a few others but on reboot synpse say my setting are deemed unstable and oc not sticking. All my uc speeds are though. Now i know on older lgs this was due to kernal not supporting the oc/uc speeds. Any ideas?

set things, then do not reboot for at least a couple minutes. synapse considers short reboot intervals as unstable.

Also, drop teamspr and go renegade. Cleaner, smoother, safer, more support.

Ive had nothin but issues from both roms. im assuming because of left over files. Done a complete wipe and installed from otg storge and renegdes been great. Only issue rite now is i hve no over clock or underclock. Only got stock frequencies available. Is there any other kernls other than skyhigh. Also having stability issues

Try SuperNOVA. Its fantastic and a little more user-friendly. Simple interface with his own custom-built app to manage kernel settings. I had hiccups using it on stock rom (some issues with samsung security saying unauthorized changes have been made) but if you are running Renegade you should be golden.
U believe they are baking SuperNOVA into the aroma installer options of next Renegade release, right @nyfl2004 and @elesbb?

Why do i get the goofy *** devices. So installed supernova i underclocked the little core to 300 and the big to 500. Only mod i did. And i start with random rebooting. I gotta run most of my test at night i got a backup phone to run case of down times. But i just dont understand why 1 minor setting is causing issues. Now am i safe to assume that voltage values are still safe at these levels or am i truly causing panics in the system. Now i did notice that last time i threw it on wireless charge it froze kinda. When it decided to wake ul i had a play services forced closed. I guess im gonna have to pull logs and check em out

That's weird you got random reboots with just those setting changes.. There are a lot of issues with the ktoonsez code I had. My latest version, not yet released, has complete rewrite of troublesome code. If you would like, after a reboot happens, pull the /proc/last_kmsg file for me and upload it. In the mean time, PM me and I will send you a link to the latest version that hopefully fixes your issues.
