I have Xperia ARC and i have bootloader unlocked >and rooted it
but when i try to make permissions to any apk or ather thinks it dos,t change >
can any one tell me what the wrong and how to fix that problem plz

You can't change them if they're on the SD, so move them to the system and try.

Hi.
installed FXP214 CM 10 and i have a couple of issues.
1.The illumination bar doesn't work.I tried all things,only thing that worked was installing the receiver apk and after i did that,it blinks,it doesn't slowly fade and it doesn't vibrate anymore.
2.Can't install anything,i tried installing a new lockscreen apk,did all the things i did with other roms(and worked on all of them) but on cm10 it won't install it. Same with installing new keyboards and many other apk and zips. It misses a lot of libraries.
3.The keyboard.If you're using english(US) the gestures work but if you chose any other language it won't work.
I rly want to make those work,it's one of the fastest roms for xperia s and has a great level of costumization but those issues really stink..and clearly it's something wrong since all other roms allow those changes.
Any way of fixing them ? Thanks in advance !

This is the rom I used: Cyanogen 10 FXP214 ( https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-r7KTvfNB-XZWt1Rkd1eVdoNXM/edit )
◦Wipe User Data
◦Wipe Cache
◦Advanced => Wipe Dalvick Cache
◦Mounts and Storage => Format System
Then install the system it should work.
also View attachment Increase_Brightness.zip This will fix brightness issue, and you need to install GAPPS also ( http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip )

Hmm i installed it right,i did all that you said,you might have misunderstood me.
I can install apps,just that some,installed via moving to system/apps won't work.

Are you sure that you are still ROOT? Maybe something is wrong with the ZIP achieve.
I'd try reflashing the phone with flashtool back to stock firmware .55 I have tool for rooting the .55 if you want. And from .55 with recovery try installing CM10 again.

Of course it is rooted.Some said i can't install the unlock.apk because there's no such thing on CM10.
Another problem : my original headphones work but my Triton headphones don't anymore.They worked on the stock rom and KA Speed but not on CM10.
Hi, someone else having problems with Whatsapp and Data when Screen goes off ? This just happens when using the Data Network, using Wifi when the screen goes off whatsapp keep working.

Whatsapp has currently some problems with the server.
But if you have just problems with mobile network it should me some other reason.
What CM10 version are you using?

Some apps need different framework and other files rather than just the apk in system/app. For example, the walkman app from stock Sony ROM won't work on cm by just installing or moving apk to system/app because other modifications are needed to be done to get that working on cm.
How can i set the minimum brightness level on fxp228 to the lowest.
The minimum is now 20 and i just can adjust the maximum brightness in /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight.
Can someone help me?
And I don't want to enable auto brightness or use apps I want to modify build.prob or some data where it is written.

Thanks for anwser me, I'm using the CM10 from FreeXperia (FXP228), and I'm not using the last version(FXP230) because I'm have the problem with SIM-card not being recognized.

Me too.
So deinstall whatsapp and reinstall maybe delete data in app settings...
If it doesn't work you just can wipe cache

There are apps to lower brightness levels. I use rootdim. Works well.

If you have UxpNxtLockscreen.apk in system/app/ already, just copy that apk from this thread to ur phone and set right permissions
Do a backup first, if something goes wrong

Hello, somebody knows if there is way to change how the camera creates the files names??
Ex: It begins with DSC_0001, DSC_0002 and goes on... but when I cut those files to my HD, the counting start over again, DSC_0001 etc etc...
The solution for now is, everytime when I want to clear my phone I have to create a new folder and use some sw on windows to rename the pics/videos by date/time.
On my SII the files are naturally named by date/time, so easy and have no chance to overwrite the old files by accident.
Really, it sucks...

True... I guess it's a Sony problem, I didn't see other droids (sammy,lg moto etc etc..) doing that.
The only way to preserve the files from overwriting is to use another sw on pc to rename using the EXlF data (date/time).
PS: I'm using an sw called "Ant Renamer", very usefull.

Because of the warranty I still did not root my device. I thought about using another application instead of the default, but will I not lose some resources or quality? Can you recommend me any to make a test?

focal on playstore n u can always regain your warrant by unrooting unless you edit system files

It's usual, the sd card needs to be mounted first when boot..

Yeah, maybe sony will fix in the next update..
I Have A Relly Big Problem In My Grand Dous And No one Want To Help Me I Do A Relly Silly Thing By Deleting ContextProvider.apk Without Talking A Backup And From That Time Every Time An App Crashes The Phone Restart It Self Without Asking To Force Close And This Is Relly Problem Becouse The Phone Keep Restarting Like 20 Time Per Day So Can Anyone Help Me Please?
