MIUI v1.11.18

Anyone run this latest version? If so are you having any issues with it?
I have 1.09.20 on mine. Im afraid to update. Everything runs great for me. Only reason I want to update is to use the ESCEnter, Left and Right mods. I cant find them for 1.09.20 anymore.

When you installed did you need to back up apps? Thats another reason I havent upgraded. I read the way themes were installed changed and locations changed. I dont want to lose my Jorte theming or my MIUI theming that Ive done.

Well, first off. You can always just make a nandroid of ur 1.9 rom, and just try 1.11.18. Anything you don't like and you can go right back. I always do a fresh install, and re-dl my apps manually from the market every friday. Just easier for me.
Titanium backup, or the miui app backup should work if you decide to do a fresh install.
Location of themes? Still in sdcard/miui/themes, still mtz's. They changed a way the file compresses a while back. But that doesn't hurt anything, or change.
I'm at like 160 mtz's on my sd card i've been gathering since march, none have ever gotten messed up or lost. Same with wallpapers I've collected from the theme manager.

Ive got it installed. So far no issues other than MIUI extended settings not working at all.

Try going to settings/manage apps select the youtube app and turn off compatibility mode.

Read the OP of the extended settings mod thread here. It's not just a flashable zip any more, there is the zip but you also need the apk, it should explain everything. I'd select the no-overscroll mod, last time I tried overscroll there were network issues (basically no service). I'm still on 11.11 but the no-overscroll works perfectly for me.

Not sure what to tell you, I just updated to 11.18 to see if it works and it's fine for me. You have to reboot or reset your status bar by changing themes in the theme manager for the right/center/switched layouts to take effect.

Everything works now except the volume button. It works in recovery, but not in the rom.

Did some more testing. The volume also works in apps to turn down the music level and the volume works if I open the notification toggles and hit the sound button and the volume button right after.

hi i have an htc one x obviously
it goes to silent mode on every rom i used viperx cm10 arhd insetcoin etc...
i guess its from an app because i had it recently about a week ago ?
and am on stock kernal i guess because i haven't changed it but am gonna after fixing this issue so any tips this is driving me crazy plz help

Do you use Tasker?
Could be a profile you set.
Also try to remove any recent apps you have added, do this one by one until you see the problem disappear and you will have found your culprit.
Or you could try:

And set it to turn on silent at certain times such as midnight till 7 am?
This could help re-configure the way your phones goes on silent and may get rid of the problem?
Finally, if your rooted try wiping the dalvik cache etc, maybe a hard reboot etc etc.

Your welcome mate.
Okay so tasker isnt the cause
I do highly recommend removing apps one by one and seeing is it carries on, remove the most recent first and work downwards.
Well a hard reboot is basically a factory restore. Which should be your last resort as it will remove all of your data.
Perhaps try another ROM/Kernel as another last resort also.

can games also be a problem or only apps ?

Anything that you have personally installed could cause a problem. But I would say it is more likely an app than a game. Try to think of apps that requested most permissions, or that you think may interact with the sound settings.

i checked the permissions removed some apps and found skype + soudhound wich can change audio setting removed skype now waiting hopeing for the best:good:

Okay great, I have both soundhound and Skype installed also but have no issues.

i restored skype skype and evrey thing looks fine for now ill wait for a day and hope for the best by the way do u suggest i install another kernel for example faux 007m over the stock with viperx rom

I'll be honest, not my strong point and have never changed a kernel.
Only ever changed ROM's and still havent plucked the courage to root my HOX yet either.

[Q] xElite Gamer - Can't install anything, low memory alert

Hi guys,
i came back to Gingerbread from over a year experienced on ICS, why?
Is impossible to play, that's all.
I've tried this rom "xElite Gamer" as many of you suggest, but i've another kind of problem.. some apps cannot be installed!
Not all of them (that's very strange) but only some of them.
Play Store tells me that there's not enought space free to install apps like Facebook or the SwiftKey keyboard but allows me to install apps like ADW.Launcher.
If i try a Titanium Backup restore it restores successfully the SwiftKey but not Facebook.
I've tried by installing them from the APK but unsuccessfully, gave me error on the package.
So.. what's happening?

I had this problem some time ago. It's something with partition (i guess) and you are not allowed to install bigger apps than certain size. I had fix from Google Play but sadly i forgot the name of that app. I'll do some research and try find that app.

I've actually solved (10 seconds ago) using Lupus Kernel instead of xElite one, so it confirms my theory about a wrong partition dimension.
I'll try in the next days again, i'll let you know.

It was also a problem in lupus ics/gb V1 kernel, this app was workaroound. Wedgess fix it in later versions. I toutght it might help here also

Sorry for the missunderstanding
The important thing is that we understand what created the bug and how to fix it, i thing that it was created by a small cache partition (only 2mb) of that kernel instead of the internal memory full size of the lupus cache partition that work as a folder.
On other hand, just to talk, i notice a lot of cpu governor on the lupus that the ExtremeKerned doesn't have, so seems to me that Lupus is still the best choice even in that case.

[Q] Xperia PLAY keeps rebooting

After i installed 15-20 apps, and rebooted phone once, my xperia play just keep rebooting, i can only boot it clearly when i enter cwm and clear cache and dalvik cache, but again if i reboot phone, it'll keep rebooting. So I think that the problem is in one of the apps i installed, how can i find which one?
I don't want to delete all apps i installed, just that one that's forcing my phone to reboot.
If anyone can help, please reply.

If someone can understand from logs what is causing my phone to keep rebooting constantly, please reply.

Zeam came with the rom that i am using and never had problems with it earlier.
Uninstalled burst camera now and still rebooting

350 mb free internal memory
i have Liquid_speed for xperia play installed in init.d but that tweak wasn't problem when i installed it 10 days ago.
My problem came yesterday when i downloaded 15 paid apps from internet and installed all of tham.
Seems that i'll need to delete it one by one to find which one i causing my problem

start first with those apps who needs root.
you could make backup of those apps, so you can reinstall them

Deleted all of tham, but still rebooting, in fact i had to reflash rom to fix it :/
now i must install one by one and reboot every time to see which one is causing reboot

Now installed all of tham again, and there is no rebooting, WHO IS CRAZY HERE ?

These miracles happens sometimes :laugh:anyway try to avoid installing many apps on a shoot; install some of them and reboot, then install the remaining apps.

I'm using ics hyper gamer with lupus ics v7 720p kernel
i tried to uninstall all of apps i installed earlier, but still the same rebooting...
Maybe some of the apps cache took some place on the phone and that is causing phone to reboot
tomorow i'll try to clean install new rom and see what will happen

I did it, i made clean install of new rom and installed all of my apps again, entered in every app i installed(reason for this is that apps can make its cache) and than i rebooted phone, reboot was ok and there is no constantly rebooting anymore, i can turn on bluetooth now without problems, i'll keep using it to see will it be ok in future 2-3 days.

Even if it's all ok on new rom, you could post in few days or a week, is it rebooting or not.. Just for future reference, if someone else is having problem with same rom and apps...

Of course i'll reply when i test it 2-3-4 days.
I'm still on the same rom (hyper gamer) but now cleanly installed and for now don't have problems

Sometimes a fresh install fixes problems with previous Rom u had let's say first flash something didn't get wiped and then new Rom gets install and there conflicting parts of the rom it would cause reboots or the burstly camera app u had may have been a required app that you had uninstalled

Hi there,
First off I would like to thank AngSanley for his work on the 4.4.4 CM 11 ROM, absolutely excellent development and keep up the good work. Hopefully I thought I would make a bug report here since i still can't post in the X development section:
1. Phone.apk problems:
a. Operator and Caller names coincide with each other (Issue was mentioned before in the thread however still looking forward to hearing from @AngSanley for a reply)
b. Repeated Missing Calls crash the com.android.phone process and the only solution is to call the missing call to get the phone app running again. To emulate that leave the call until it ends twice and see what happens
2. System Processes
In Jelly Bean and Ice Cream Sandwich you were able to disable system stock apps such as Browser, email, messages and it was possible to install the playstore apps as a replacement. I was wondering if it's still possible to enable that in the current ROM or it's not a bug as of the new releases.
Note: This also includes Trebuchet since I'm not currently using it.
3. Reboots in some cases disables the home button action in UDNB and prevents the lockscreen process from running properly which requires me to reinstall the ROM and Gapps while clearing cache and Delvik or by force stop and enabling lockscreen (which gets me to problem 2 sometimes).
Thank you again for the ROM and looking forward to hearing about upcoming updates with the ROM.

For the first issue, the problem is known. I mentioned it but it's difficult to fix.
For the third issue though, I found a solution. I disabled UDNB and installed Soft Buttons app. If the buttons crash, I disable them from the app and immediately enable them again. I reboot and... that's all!
(as for the second, I use some stock apps, so I can't tell you for sure)

No problem it's fine. The imitation of it can be made if you even disable messages for example. It shows immediately that the phone loses functionality especially in the lockscreen process.
I'm really looking forward to hearing from @AngSanley on these. Especially on the phone process issue .

Yea bro....ur all mentioned bugs are also happend with the me... and there is also a big problem.... this bug happed with me two times and i need to wipe dalvik cacke two times....
so that problem is when i install xpossed app n when i restart than the statusbar gone.. it says com.androd.systemui.apk stopped... plz find way to fix it without wipe dalcik cacke
n second problem is whn i install any new theme n appy n restart my phone than same happens.... please do something brohers... love this rom ... really awsm..

yes... i also get that error phone procced stopped.... but i pressed ok button 4 5 times and its stopped... but if i donwload any cm theme and after appy it when i restart mob the process of sytemui stopped than i need to to wipe data that time tht ok button not working.. please find any trick repair it without formating data..

Unfortunately I won't be able to do that since I just bricked my phone while formatting to the original stock version lol. I'm currently stuck on Nokia Emergency Connectivity and will be sending it to the Nokia care center next month haha. I'll be doing a fresh install when I get it back.
PS: I'm guessing no solutions for this problem outside the warranty am I right?

Yes you are right.
