there in nl is an guy that "sales" your roms.
he asks 20 euro's for installing an rom on a phone,
@ admins.im sorry, but put it an week at sticky,and you dont hear anything over this. yes i know that this is an wrong subforum. but i everyone must know that they are abused for his roms.. all roms are free right? so it doesnt suposed to sell it ?

maybe he cam be traced with the email, so he can get be banned...

People offer me money to flash cm7 for them for a price and I always do it for free.
In his defense he may be charging for the SERVICE and not the PRODUCT.
And even though its $20 I wouldn't want people selling my wildfire s ics port or my other roms..

Lol they charged me to convert to Android. After that I learned how to do it myself. If it wasn't fit that I would still be on windows lol. You do know this it's open source right. Kind of like Linux, devs know this. Whatever somebody does with the roms outside this website its their business

yeah. he posted an advert. that he want that to do for him for charge. so i think,why do you not put an advert wit the INSTRUCTIONS insteed of asking fee for it?
a child can do the was. easy like nothing. or not?

I know what your trying to say but nobody has any copyrights to this. You ever read the message inn the HD2 tool kit while installing? download it and read it.
Plus the developer is probably making money of the downloads lol. That's why they keep it inn certain websites only

I disagree...
the criminal trial is free in Italy but you have to pay the lawyer for the defense services (or in other words for of his knowledge to the pursuit of your goal)!
Here you pay this person for the installation and conversion of an operating system (services) if you have the goal of change it!! He's not asking money for a rom but for a service related.
Can you force this guy to change the operating system for free only because he is installing a free operating system?
I can't understand what he's saying about free navigation, but concerning roms installation I really can't see how can you find it illegal...
what I find illegal is to open a thread that defames a man offering a service...(I repeat, I can't understand free navigation part, so I'm not speaking of that part!)

Only way of stopping this is letting Marktplaats know this add is illegal. Once multiple notifications reach them they will remove the add and warn the person that placed it. And yes it's illegal to sell cracked apps in the Netherlands

I've lost my Wildfire S in a hospital somewhere, I don't know where it went. It's probably out of battery by now, but I've locked the IMEI and SIM, as well as installing Plan B from the Android Market Google Play Store. I live in Cardiff, so we're all awesome pro-hackers and anybody who get's hold of it who knows phones like me or you will just unlock it. They can keep it if they're that clever actually
I've called lost and found, etc. but no luck. If it turns up I'll continue development for the phone, but if not then I'm guessing I'm going to have to buy a new phone, most likely a One V or One S.
I'd like to say that you guys were brilliant, the amount of development when I came here was nothing, I've taught noobs to become pro developers, have had my posts trolled, have been donated a bit of money, made a pointless rom and good ones too.
If I find it, I'll probably still buy a new phone, but develop for this one, not my new one. I came here a noob to contact a developer to download their theme (I think, I can't remember very well) as the links they put up on their thread wouldn't open on my phone, I then contacted alquez and asked if he needed help from a noob like myself, he told me about adb, etc.
Around that time, I made my first port, it was an ICS port from the Aria, it took longer than it looked...
As I tried to mess about with kernels and some other totally pointless stuff to try and fix the touchscreen bug we had. Of course I didn't know what I was doing but I was learning every second I Googled a problem. I felt like we had a lot of developers in the forum all working alone, so I established (as a noob) the WFSDEV team. I learned a lot there but people left, and I made .sense, my first ROM. It grew into something awesome, then became too big and caved in.
Then I.. I don't even know what I was doing then... Probably busy with stuff
Then Ivan, Henry, Oliver and myself started wasting our time on a Sense 4 port. That failed by the way, and was attacked by a 'developer'. We worked hard on that port but it never did boot fully
I started working on a new ROM, Roboto and Ivan worked on a mod called MarvelMod, we decided to combine ROMs and make RobotoMod, based on .sense's AROMA code. It worked, it had bugs but it worked
So then, I ported Jelly Bean to our phones and after that it brings me to now I guess, of course there was stuff in between all of that
So, as a final note:
Thank you to the devs who I learnt from and you're welcome to the people who use my stuff.
As a final present to you guys, I'll be porting Project Llama to this phone, at least the first build.

If cm10 has a GPS fix it could be called nearly stable Only HQ videos not working and some problems of scrolling in Google Now.

NexusMod for the Galaxy Note II

Hey dudes, it's Bry from the AT&T Galaxy S III and Skyrocket threads, I'm the lone wolf developer of the NexusMod series of ROMS. I currently have a Galaxy S III, but I've been extremely envious of the quad-core 5.5 inch beast of a phone that goes by the name, Samsung Galaxy Note II. I've been wanting to get my hands dirty on some new material to work on, so i thought about it, and decided i'm going take the leap to the Note 2 pretty soon. I mean, why not?
Basically what NexusMod is, for people that aren't familiar with it, is a modified stock TouchWiz ROM made to look as AOSP as possible, giving it that AOSP look and feel, while keeping all of those useful Samsung TouchWiz additions completely intact. *cough cough S-Pen* Here are Some examples of my previous work.

I've already got my feet in the water, and i'm working on a build for the i317 i plan to release to a private tester as we speak. I don't have a n2 yet, but if i sell my s3 i'd get at most $500 from it (I got it replaced, it's in mint condition with a lot of accessories), and i'm give or take $200 short of the $700 the n2 would cost me including the tax. Once i get those $200 i'll get the device and that will sure make it easier and faster to bring NexusMod to this device. :good:
Just to clear some stuff up, Donations aren't necessary. I'm still going to build the ROM regardless, being a student it's just going to take a while longer to save up and buy it myself, probably by the end of the year. I was just putting this out there as a fair warning to prepare your body.

Your credibility shows you'd sell it within a matter of time and move on like the rest of them...Not to be a **** but recent post dont lie. Just confused here?

I get your reasoning, i don't NEED the device i'm just not satisfied enough with my s3 which i haven't had long to the point where i don't feel the desire to develop for it and want to move on from it. My first device, the Skyrocket i spent plenty time (a year) with, and i supported it and released many ROMS for it over that time...

Just to clear some stuff up, Donations aren't necessary. I'm still going to build the ROM regardless, being a student it's just going to take a while longer to save up and buy it myself, probably by the end of the year. I was just putting this out there to see if there were individuals ecstatic for a ROM like mine and would help me out a little to get ahold of the device quicker, since that will significantly increase my development efficiency.

Hey Mod glad your making your way to the Note 2...Ive used your roms before and loved them....but this is good news for the Note 2 cant wait till you get here man to take this phone to the next level....And btw everyone vote yes on the poll for nexus mod...if you never used his rom youll love it when you try it....

Do what I did. Call at&t complain that you have been having issues with you phone or something and request they allow you to upgrade to a new phone (note 2). Got mine for 300 my nearest upgrade was dec 2013.

I have to say, I'm generally opposed to people who outright ask for "donations" in exchange for development work. To me, it sounds too much like "pay me to develop for this device."
I realize that you've stated that you'll develop for it even if you don't get donations, but it still makes me uncomfortable when someone actively asks for a donation.
If you aren't selling your development services, I wonder what will happen if you end up profiting from the eventual sale of the note2. Will you split up the excess money and give it back to the people who helped you buy the phone? If so, it might help to make people feel more comfortable about this.
I'm not in any way trying to start any type of argument here. In fact, I'm trying to head one off by asking the hard questions and getting it settled early.

And he's right you got your phone before I did I bought me and my wife's in March 2012 And I was having difficulties and asked for a early upgrade as well for just my line. .They gladly let me purchase the note 2 for 300 bucks sold my ATT note 1 for 300 and so it didnt cost me a penny out of pocket.
Sell your s3 for 300 if you can and get the early upgrade. There's a whole thread in the general thread about this in the orginal att note 1 section.

That's not fair to people. The poll asks if someone is interested. If they aren't, why wouldn't they vote "no"? I'll freely admit that I voted "no" as I'm not interested. I'm not interested in any custom firmware right now other than the changes I've made myself. That's not a negative review or negative feedback. It's an honest answer to an honest question.

Used the nexus Mod on the Skyrocket it was a super nice rom with the stock features.....i would love to it ported/reworked here.

or least give me some info a about it and yes I'm already aware thats its illegal to change a IMEI but i feel like i been cheated and i really like this phone and i just want to be able to fully use it.

you might want to check with your seller if he is willing to discuss the matter with you.

there are none. people who call out that its illegal, are wrong, at least for the US. changing IMEI's are really difficult with qualcomm devices unfortunately. you'd have to use QPST and even then it's a crapshoot. better off getting a refund

Probably try googling it. There should be a few websites out there dedicated to this.

Contact seller, confront him with the facts, request a refund, go to a local certified dealer and get a new one.

Another option is to buy another phone with a destroyed screen, usually listed as "parts" phone and pretty cheap. Then, you use the nice screen and other working parts from your current phone with the bad IMEI, but remove it's CPU/circuit board and replace them with those of the "parts" phone (that presumably has a good IMEI). So you usually come out ahead, because buying the bad IMEI phone and the parts phone together still costs less than buying one phone.
Anyway, it might be easier to study how to disassemble the phone and swap the motherboard/CPU (to give you a good IMEI), compared to trying to modify/spoof it, but I'm just guessing based on my experience on how easy it was to swap motherboards on an older phone (haven't tried disassembling the LG G4 yet).
According to the Ifixit teardown, the LG G4 looks super easy to swap motherboards:

Seems you just take off the screws, then it opens right up for you to disengage the ribbon cables and pull out the motherboard

If all else fails and you can't get this to work on your network you can sell it on Ebay to recoup some of your money. As long as you list it truthfully as having a bad IMEI someone will still buy it from you. This has happened to me as well.

Did you ever find a solution? I am in the same situation, phone worked perfectly for months before they blacklisted it. I called Bell and they don't want the phone back, they obviously won't take it off the blacklist but don't want it back either and just said best of luck. I'm in Canada where it's apparently legal to change imei numbers. I have an old broken phone who's imei I'd like to use. Obviously getting a refund from the guy who scammed me isn't an option either. I see plenty of videos and ads for people who'll do it for me....sounds like a good way to get myself scammed even worse. We should just switch phones as yours will probably work in Canada and mine will work for you in the US. Lol
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to fix this? I'm willing to read instructions, educate myself and do the work. Someone here has the knowledge to help fix this...won't someone help?

Please stop misinforming people. Changing IMEI is NEVER simple without the right tools. Having the right tools costs a LOT of money. If you work in a Service repair center, than you COULD say it is simple; but not even then there is no guarantee that it will work.

Actually i used two tools the free version and a guide from a different forum and if a person can read and comprehend what they are reading it is pretty simple.i wouldnt just openly misinform anyone.if you look through my posts youll see if i dont know something then i ask and i only post what i am positive about

One is qpst 2.7 free version and the other is efs professional.i cant post the link to the guide as i dont think its permitted but if anyone wishes to know they can message me and ill be glad to provide them the link!!!

I stand corrected then.
But I still stand by my statement, though, that it is never a guarantee that it will work. And what seems easy and simple for you, can be complex for another.
In my 5+ years as a GSM service technician I learned that when dealing with IMEI, there is never a simple and unique solution. You are free to try, but the half of my customers were not simple people that simply had problems with their devices. They were people that tried to tinker and ended up with a expensive paperweight. E.G.: "I read something on a forum and wanted to try and flashed something and it doesn't start anymore".
Please don't misunderstand me, I don't discourage tinkering. I just encourage people to READ before they flash, just understand what they are doing. If they try to understand and fail, there are lots of others that can help.

in craiglist theres places that do that service. but i think it should be over a hundred dollar.. as unlocking from tmobil was 80 bucks .

Hey guys, I just flashed the Korean KT version pie kdz into my att v35. Everything works great so far, the reception seems better than before.
The way to flash is similar to flashing project fi kdz, but the phone was wiped clean by doing so. So back up as always.

Case 1: someone with att v35 that has no imei flashed korean kdz, now the phone is network locked
Case 2: some one with att v35 flashed korean kdz with no problem, but failed to return to us oreo firmware

What service are you using, Tmob, ATT, Google FI.... etc?

my imei is still there, but I did hear some ppl have this issue. Not sure why. I think if you have successfully flashed the project fi rom before, you should be fine.

Pardon our skepticism. I personally know of someone over in Moto Quark forum who bricked their phone (back when it was newly released) trying to flash firmware they shouldn't... Then out of spite of their own stupidity, posted to everyone it was wonderful and to try it themselves, that they would see. Misery loves company? He got banned.

The defensive attitude makes me even more suspicious.

I understand, and I did this based on my research for 2 days and didn't see any one failed in the Chinese forum. That's why I shared my experience here. I think this is what this forum here for, for COMMUNICATION? I simply just don't like that guys attitude, which came straight up to 'report'. We have seen a lot of jack wagons on here, deliberately posting incompatible software, knowing noobs will flash and brick. Haven't reported it yet. Maybe more screenshots, possibly a video, so we can be sure.

I get that we are weary of bricking our phones, but shouldn't we wait to confirm that this is fake when there is a confirmed brick for this particular situation? Jumping the gun like this is not good for the community.
