This is mostly everything I can think of that will give you better 3G
My suggestion:
Back up.
Download all latest radios. Check my sig for a link.
Wipe cache and dalvik.
Flash radio. Reboot. (All reboots will take you back into recovery)
Flash Wimax. Reboot.
Flash PRI. Reboot.
Flash NV. Reboot.
Flash a rooted Sense ROM, based on the Evo (this disqualifies MikG, Director's Cut, Synergy and other Sense 2.1 / 3.0 ROMs, because those are based on the Evo Shift/3D (I've had issues with Shift/3D-based ROMs not reprovisioning data). Update PRL. Reboot.
Go into EPST (Dial ##3282#, Choose edit mode), enter your MSL code (download and use MSL Reader from the Market to get it), Data Profile, hit the menu button and choose restore. Just sit there, your phone will reboot and everything will go back to default. Let it reprovision, but when it says "Updating PRL" hit cancel.
##3282#, enter MSL, Advanced, change both Proxy ports to 0, proxy addresses to 0.0.0.0
Hit menu button, "save changes", back out to home screen and reboot
Wipe everything in recovery three times, flash ROM of choice (clean install)
3G Supercharge if you wish

Better 3g on decks rom?

Guys I'm having problems with the signal using deck and cyanogen. Any ideas how to get better 3g signal in areas that are completely full with stock radios? And if it involves flashing radios to my decks rom how would I do that?
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Try to flash back to a Sense ROM, update your PRL, then go back to Decks. See if this helps. There are more drawn-out steps to helping your 3G speeds, but this should be a first step.
Good luck!

help ! I'm not getting any of my text messages!

not sure why but im not getting any SMS .I'm running cm7 latest nighty with tiamat sbc kernal

Yea I had this same issue man, at first I thought it was my crappy sprint service in san diego but then I noticed I would get my txt messeges only through google voice and my 3g was fine.
So what u need to do to fix it is do nandroid back.p
flash a sense rom(i used my first nandroid ,faster to setup)
Then just update prl, profile, all those options, dont remember which ones they are but I know its all the ones where you find the prl option.
After that just flash back to your cm and it should work.
Remeber NOT to accept any OTA update when u flash to sense rom.
First step, call Sprint and see if there is an outage in your area. If not, flash back to a stock rom. If that still doesnt help, call sprint back and have them re-activate your phone, and update the profile.

From a sense rom, make sure the app works, test it, ect. Backup the app and data, flash to cm7, restore only the app and data.

[Q] Help! Force Close errors

I cannot do anything with my phone. It freezes and locks up and sends me force closure messages with any application and with the launcher. I don't know what to do. I didn't root my phone (a friend did it for me about a year ago) and never updated anything. I need help. Thanks
If you provide more info it'll be easier to find out what the problem is...
Since you are rooted try going to recovery and wiping cache and dalvik cache 3x each if that doesnt work you may need to flash a new rom stock rooted if you like stock or a custom rom if u choose to go with something a little different for custom roms id suggest the classic by tommytomatoe if u like sense 1.0 or mikg v3.0 or v3.1 uf you want to try sense 2.1 with 3.0 elements like the lock ring both have good support and lots of themes addons tweaks and customization

[Q] cannot change values in ##3282# menu! help!

Im flashing an epic (root, rom, and to cricket from sprint) for a friend of mine and talk work fine but internet is not functioning dispite the 3g symbol being present. when i enter and edit the values (username, ha, etc.) In the ##3282# menu it doesnt reset the phone when through and what ever i changed reverts back to the previous value. I.e., the username remains (customername)@sprint.com. any one have a clue of how to either fix this issue or another way to change the values? Ive tried everything i can think of to no avail. Qpst, cdma workshop, and even tried the multiboot fc09 from the sd. Ive serched this forumas well as several others and cant see3m to find any applicable info.

you need to go back to an older stock rom/modem/kernel combination.. then ##72786# or a ##786# before you start.
the first one wont mess with any "repairs" you may have made previously. but will wipe data settings to factory.
then you should be able to edit those settings at will, and I suggest QPST.

^^^ This....

And my advice would be to use stock EC05 (Rom AND modem) or prior. Never had much luck with this sort of project on anything after EC05. Once you're all working, then flash whatever you like. Will need to fix MMS again after flashing a rom.

Power off phone completely and let it charge for a little bit.
Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1721229
Read the entire post a few times.
[Make sure you have the Samsung drivers installed]
Download the "FF18 full restore One-Click self-extractor"
extract and launch it.
Now
Power on the phone and..
hold Power button + Volume down
Then volume up to enter download mode
Connect the phone via USB to the computer and it should show up on a COM port.
Then click start and hopefully you'll be back to stock rooted.
Then be careful and read a whole lot more.

Not sure what you're trying. I just posted how to completely set you phone to stock FF18. It WILL wipe your data but your phone shoud be good to go with all services.
If you want to use sfhub's EL29 one click the method is the same. But why not get the latest released build.
You may have to to System Settings>System Updates then Update the PRL wait and then update the Profile wait.
It may suck having to re-enter some data but I would think it would suck more to have a phone that didn't work.

It won't reset your prl, aaa, ha keys which are contained in NVRAM.
If you are running CWM, I would boot into recovery, then start adb shell, then mount /system (if necessary) and undo your boot animation change. It is very likely everything is intact, just the boot is prevented from completing due to that change you made.

Holy crap. Swype u force fed me another failcake! I meant how much worse is battery on ff18 than el29
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Ics uses like 10% more on average is the number I've seen thrown around, I get like 18 hours with 3 or 4 hours of screen time on average with 20% left.... you see tons of posts from people complaining about ics battery, ignore these... most of these folks can't be bothered to set up syncs right, kill background tasks that are unnecessary, read the forums, let roms properly settle, recalibrate, etc...

I seen that earlier post, but with ics ive seen where you have to wrote everything sometimes to make it work right
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I'm assuming you mean wipe? Yes but it still would not affect your provisioning/network information... it does not get wiped by that... for example I have heavily edited 4g settings (higher entry RX, etc...) and those have been preserved across god knows how many flashes and wipes... lastly is not just ics you need to do a full wipe for, you can try no data flashes but might experance bugs, the reccomended route for every rom I know of is to do a full data wipe when switching from one from to another
