[Q] How to root my phone ?

Can someone please explain to me if I can root my HTC Wildfire?
I got S-OFF and hboot 1.01.0001 and Android version 2.2.1
What should I do downgrade hboot or ?

[Q] Use Revolutionary over Alpharev X'ed Wildfire

I have used Alpharev X on my HTC Wildfire but is it possible to use revolutionary ver Alpharev'ed phonet because I want to try revolutionary and I don't want to brick my phone?
Someone please help me.

But why? There's no difference, with the exception that Revolutionary allows to to flash a Custom Recovery in 1 go after S-OFF, while in AlphaRev X, you had to get it separately.

Yes I can tell you that there is no difference. I have done that because I thought that it will fix alpharev's problems with htc sense roms. But it didn't.

I just wanted to test Revolutionary on an Alpharev'ed HTC Wildfire.

Stock hboot ---> alpharev hboot ---> revert back to stock hboot ---> revolutionary. This makes no difference.
Stock hboot ---> alpharev hboot ---> revolutionary hboot. Here the 2nd process (revolutionary) mostly shouldn't succeed AFAIK. Because the exploit is for the stock hboot 1.01.0001. (corrections welcome)

Hi all.
I Want to get S-OFF on my device with Revolutionary. I have Hboot 0.80.0002 and i need HBoot 1.01.0001 to do that.
Can someone tell me how to update HBoot?
Device: HTC Wildfire
ROM: CyanogenMod V7.1.0.1
Recovery: [ 2.5.0.1 ] Clockworkmod
Kernel: buzz-kernel-2.6.35
Radio: 13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10

U cn also try RUU update which cn be downloaded from shipped-roms.com or just Google it...

I also have Hboot 0.80.0002 with S-ON, that link explains how to download Hboot 1.00.0002 to 1.00.0001 but doesn't work with 0.80.0002.
I have rooted and installed CM7, would there be an advantage to upgrading the Hboot or to getting S-OFF?

my htc wildfire s a510e is unlocked with hboot 1.09.0099 still s-on ...i want to flast the recovery file it shows the cid error and tells update failed....i unlocked it with htcdev process and used htc arabic rom as my wfs was frm saudi arabia....pls pls pls help me
