I also have Hboot 0.80.0002 with S-ON, that link explains how to download Hboot 1.00.0002 to 1.00.0001 but doesn't work with 0.80.0002.
I have rooted and installed CM7, would there be an advantage to upgrading the Hboot or to getting S-OFF?

[Q] Upgrade HBOOT

Hi there
i have Hboot 0.80 And I want to S-OFF my phone!
alpharevx for HBOOT 1.01
what do i do?
Thanks all
It took me ages but probably because I took the long way round.
I think I formatted my SD card and made as gold card, then used the RUU tool in the Arabic RUU thread below this one.
That worked for me after a day of trial and error. I guess there is a quicker way. Search the forums I know alot of rooting guides have popped up since Alpha-Rev release.

Just go to Unrevoked.com, download their app and S-OFF+ROOT+Recovery install on your phone. HBOOT 0.80 is rootable, because it's the old version. You don't need Alpharev X.

It will not give S-OFF. Just a Custom Recovery and root. If you want S-OFF, you will have to go for AlphaRev X.

Thanks a lot
I'll download the froyo RUU and then write my result here.

try that it works for me...just select the applicable RUU to your region then your S-OFF!!!
I got HBOOT 1.02 after running RUU but when I run alpharevx it still got s-off.
Don't forget to install and uninstall HTC Sync so you won't encounter driver issues.
Then when your already s-off follow the instructions on the link below then that's it you got full control!!!

Hope it works for you...

[Q] after ruu my desire is still s-off

Hi,
after some time flashing sense 3.0 roms, i wanted to go back to my stock htc desire vodafone NL rom.
my desire was rooted and s-off and cm7r2 hboot.
so, i downloaded this ruu: RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe
and when the phone was ready, i checked for an update.
it found the 2.2 update, so i downloaded it.
after flashing i get this information in the software information menu:
android version : 2.2
baseband version : 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2
kernel version : 2.6.32.15-g6a358a9 [email protected] #1
build number : 2.10.161.2 CL229389 release-keys
software number : 2.10.161.2
browser version : webkit 3.1
and when i push power and volume down, i get this:
in purple: ---- AlphaRev ----
bravo PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
MICROP-031D
TOUCH PANEL-SYNW0101
RADIO-5.09.05.30_2
so my problem: i am still s-off.
how do i get it s-on?
thank you !
Stefan
You have to first flash the alpharev downgrader with androidflasher or put the .img file on the SD card root (start phone with vol down power on phone will ask: flash img or something). Then you will get alpharev-unlock or something in place of -alpharev- when vol down and power on.
Restart phone and flash RUU, you will be s-on.
In case i forgot something: it must have been the beer.

thank you, but i actually found it already before you posted.
but now i have an another problem:
now i have s-on, but hboot 0.80.0000
and when i flash the same ruu, i get error 140 ( bootloader version error )
do you know a solution for this?
or do i miss something because i'm drunk ?
No i dont know.... Try to flash the new 2.3 RUU from htc. The one from htcdev.com? Dont know the site from my head. It's getting a little fuzzy now.
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Yep the error 140 is caused by your hboot being too new and not allowing a downgrade. This is because your have downloaded a ruu with hboot version 0.75 So you'll need to find a more recent one.

NOOOO!!!!! DO NOT DO THAT!!
Just flash the latest WWE RUU
try this http://shipped-roms.com/download.ph...9.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
Info about this has to be sticky in dev section. It's ridiculous how many users are asking for THE SAME DAMN QUESTION!

[Q] update HBOOT from 0.75 to 0.93

Hi guys,
I have a Desire with HBOOT 0.75 and CM7 but want to use the Revolutionary tool to get S-OFF now. So I need to upgrade my HBOOT to 0.93.0001...
I tried to install:
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed
because I read it contains HBOOT 0.93, is that right? But I got Error 131, that means I have to use a goldcard, right? Is there another way to upgrade to HBOOT 0.93?
Thanks for your help!

CM7? Then you be S-OFF by now. Unless you are talking about something else

Im running CM7 = CyanogenMod 7.1.0RC1.
This one is S-OFF? How? I wanted to get S-OFF using the Revolutionary tool before updating to 7.1stable...
There is actually a CM7 Hboot and that's what I was talking about. Check http://alpharev.nl and maybe this can get you s-off.

Thx, used AlphaRev 1.8 with no problem!
Upgraded from HBOOT 0.75 TO 0.93
[hi,
1. Downgrade to YOUR original STOCK rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667
2. Once installed go to settings, about phone and firmware update. you may need to repeat the step a few time.
3. HBOOT 0.93 installed.

You are already s-off so you don't need to go through revolutionary process. I believe all you have to do is flash superuser

Thanks mate it worked.

Worked for Me
If you wnt a quick and easy root method pop over to htcdev.com and register and you can then unlock following the instructions. Once your HBOOT is unlocked just root with superoneclick. Works everytime

[Q] How to back to stock from CM10.1

Hello,
Now I have VJ 10.1 CM rom and i wan`t to go back to stock.
Do i have to do somethings like changing hboot or radio or just install RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread).exe ?
I have
AlphaRev
Bravo PVT1 Ship S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
RADIO-5.17.05.08
Thx.
flash the AlphaRev bravo_downgrade.img first then the 2.3gb upgrade
It`s this zip from you sig "2.3 gb Upgrade from HTCDev as : PB99IMG" do the change for me or i still have to do the chance in fastboot ?

the PB99IMG in my sig is the 2.3 gb upgrade, its just another method to flash it. google "AlphaRev" and download the "bravo_downgrade.img" and flash it, that unlocks ur hboot so u would become s-on aswell. once u flashed that just run the 2.3 gb upgrade ruu from ur computer.
