wildfire = webcam ? - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey people.
I wanted to ask whether one can also use the mobile as a webcam?

Look on the market, I used droidcam a while ago wasn't as good as I hoped but it did the job. Like I said though it was a while ago, it'll probably be better now.

Almost all the software's I checked (which is long time ago) need to have internet both for phone and pc as well.
Would be nice if the phone to pc connection is through BLUETOOTH or USB CABLE.

Hmm seems strange. Have you contacted HTC (not that they will be able to really help!) It might seem like a hassle but maybe try rooting so you can update the radio version?
yeah I will try to root my device tonight and see if that helps
will report back!

if you are going to use the latest way of doing it (via a linux live cd) you might want to start downloading it now as the servers are very slow!
too bad I am not home yet..... might aswell do it the old way then as I got all the files and so on...

On it's way!

Iv just ordered a gn and coming from a desire HD, how are people finding this beast? Or should I have waited for HTC to bring something out?

I came to GN from DHD and its such an upgrade. The GN is so much better
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Few things iv just thought about that I'm abit worried about though, which will be annoying if it doesn't work
Plugging the phone into the TV or Xbox to play films from? Not sure if it works with the gn

haha...all these wannabe mods, whatever
@OP you've made the right choice.
I upgraded from an HTC Desire (the 1st one) and haven't looked back. ICS works beautifully, the phone feels so fast and smooth. As for build quality it is great. Don't be put off by some people saying it feels cheap, its certainly not the case and feels very well made indeed.

My one has crashed 3 times within the last 5 days, nothing to worry about though, I think it's software related.
All in all I am very pleased with my purchase, I also have a SGSII which was my best phone to date, I prefer the Nexus though
I wasn't sure whether to wait for the next HTC phone to come out or go for the gn but my misses it hers today an I'm liking it, nice feel to it and the screen seems excellent
The only things now is the lack of SD card for mass storage connection and the phone speaker itself seems fairly low

It's better for you tu just use the usb cable, I don't think you really need a dock... but as far as I know,it has not been released yet and it will work only on 2+ cores

What do you mean by 2+ ...is the G2 that?

G2: single core. Ubuntu for android PROBABLY will work on dual or more cores

HTC A 100 Bluetooth Audio Brifge

Apologies, originally posted in wrong area.
Can anyone confirm if this works with HTC One....I'm on 1.28.61.7 EE. Read mixed reviews regarding compliance with the One.

I just recently picked one up and I can say that it works really well. I've tried it on several different roms and it has not failed me yet. I have it plugged up and charging in my car and as soon as I stick my phone into the dock, it pairs up immediately and starts going. Good accessory.
Cheers pal. I'll get onto it.

[Q] Can't connect to PC :S

I just bought a LGOG from a friend and just noticed that it's impossible for my win8 laptop to recognize the device... I tried using my wife's ol' Win7 powered netbook without luck.
As anyone been through this and found a solution for this issue? I've tried all the versions available and none of them work. I'm running an AMD powered 64 bit Win8 laptop (my wife's netbook runs on an Intel processor.)
Thanks in advance for the help.
Did you install the drivers? http://www.lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-LS970

Try a different pc. Mine is detected half the time on our laptop. My son's laptop detects it every time. These phones are a little difficult at times.

anyhelp!?!?
This happened to me on my first lgog. Turned out it was a broken pin. Best thing to do now, if you have insurance, is to get it replaced. I know you probably don't want to hear this but trust me I know how you feel.
idk how I got here...

Please dont feel insulted but sometimes going back to the basics is necessary, did you select usb debuging on developer options?
