After phone totally blocked I tried to recover system using CWR v3.0.2.4. There I am able to do everything (wipe data/factory reset and Wipe Dalvik cache), I am also able to load new ROM (tried MIUI and Caynogen). But after rebooting phone freezes with HTC logo on it. Only possible reset is with unpluging battery.
Any suggestions?

So I decided to root my DHD yesterday. Everything worked fine until I installed CyanogenMod 7, that went on a boot loop so I went in recovery tried to restore the phone (restore to last backup and even factory settings) but now I'm just stuck with the HTC bootscreen and I don't know what I can do.
Any advice?
Thanks.
P.S I'm pretty noob at this
Can you provide some more information about the process. Which version of CWM are you using?
Reboot into CWM, do wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, and wipe Dalvik cache, then install CM again...
Well I've restore the phone with a new RUU file. What happens is now when i restore my phone through clockwork, my phone gets stuck on the HTC boot screen, making me have to restore the phone with the RUU file.
Got a little problem with my phone, after flashing any ROM, it boot loops. It was running CM7.2, I tried to flash m1ndh4x8r's ROM, it bootlooped. I tried to flash Cyanogenmod 7.2 again, bootloop.
Cleared dalvik cache, etc... nothing's working. Any ideas?
Format system then try flashing again, but be very careful when formatting the system. Did you not make any backups before flashing mindhaxers rom?
Apologies, it's working again...
I'm still on bootloop. after turning it on. It stock at the nAa kernel image and doesn't proceed to bootanimation. it just stay the same after a half hour. please help.
done wipe/factory reset
wipe cache
wipe dalvik cache
and format system.
I tried flashing this ROM and after doing so and wiping both caches I rebooted the phone. As the phone rebooted the the first screen to appear was the Paranoid Android screen (with the jelly beans in the Android) and the phone remains stuck there. Is there anything I can do to restore the phone to default so I can flash the ROM again or even get the phone to another screen other than the one it is on? I haven't been able to use it all day even after a hard reset...I'm stuck
Try wiping cache, then dalvik
Did you make a backup prior to flashing? If not, you should make a habit of doing so to due to instances such as this. You can always boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe davlik cache, format system.. Then either try to re flash paranoid android or chose another rom to load.

After droping my phone my led flash stopped working. so I went into 4ext recovery/wipe-format and did a
wipe cache
Wipe cache+dalvik
Wipe dalvic cache
Wipe battery stats then did a reboot hoping to fix it but after reboot in it is now stuck on the splash screen.
Any way I can fix this without doing a factory reset. I have tried to do a backup restore but I'm getting the md5 mismatch error
Any help appreciated
To restore a Nandroid, you need to wipe completely.
Wipe full and flash the ROM again to avoid bootloops and any other issues.

Was hoping to avoid a wipe but it has to be done. Just doing it now
Hate when you set everything up just the way you want it only to then get a problem like this
Hello, my HTC is rooted, unlocked with s-off. I made factory reset, flash Cyanogen 10.1 and the phone freezed on cyanogen mod screen. I wait over 30 minutes, still the same logo. What to do?
Try reflashing the Rom after a complete wipe.
Wipe Data/factory reset
Wipe sd-ext
Wipe system
Wipe dalvik cache (twice )
Wipe batterystats
Then reboot recovery..
Flash Rom & gapps
