Cellular South Desire - Desire General

Does anyone have a HTC Desire with Cellular South?

Some do, but there are more US Cellular CDMA Desires out there. Luckily it doesn't make a difference in ROMs!

I'm asking because I need someone to send me the stock cellular south desire software so I can send it back to CS because I deleted my backup

do the telstra branded ones present any dramas?
I have a Telstra branded desire and the only issues I had were the Telstra bloatware and obviously the low internal storage.. Which were easily fixed by rooting and installing cyanogen rom.

Oh and Telstra customer service is whack

+1 to that!
im staying with vf and just want to recieve the 850mhz/2100mhz hence swapping the 8181 to 8183. i just heard that some of the telstra stuff is hard to get off.
Its not hard, just root it.. Then flash a custom or stock rom which won't have the Telstra crap.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can't. Cdma desire is the short straw of the lot. You also can't use any of the nice new sense 2.0+ rom with it. But there's someone out there working on it in another post. I hope he still is anyway

thanks a million. Blugrass pissed me off so i just stoped paying. But i love my phone and would like to keep using it. I wonder if i could use it on sprint. The only thing is that us cellular runs off verizion and so does sprint. I know they block your esn but i'm not sure if it's for us cellular or just for who i'm using.
You could probably use it on boost, but sprint won't activate it.

HTC Desire CDMA U.S Cellular

I have a rooted and unlocked bootloader HTC Desire from U.S Cellular. But U.S Cellular isn't in Colorado. I'm slightly familiar with flashing. And I wanna flash this thing to Verizon or Sprint. I find people who have it done. Trouble is there is no instructions on it. Any help on finding a compatible Verizon or Sprint PRL for the Desire. And is there a program other then QPST? And can I do it when the phone runs CM 7.1

[Q] Virgin Mobile USA HTC One V

Hi,
I just ordered a HTC One V from the States (says it's Virgin Prepaid phone) and i'm from South Africa.
My question is, can I unlock it and will it work on Vodacom (Vodafone) network?
And is there a name for the Stock HTC One V Rom from HTC?
Many thanks.
If its from virgin mobile in the us its a CDMA phone. And Vodafone uses GSM all over the world as far as I know so no that won't work, it will only be able to be used as an iPod touch like device.
