A8183

Does anyone out there have an A8183 that isn't running on 3G?
~HR
Yes. I do.
I'm looking to see if anyone has an A8183 that wants to trade for ny A8181. My provider doesn't support 3G for this fone, so I'm looking for someone that is in the same boat in Australia with an A8183.

Gsm or cdma?

Ok I have a tmobile us g2 I'm lookin for the latest radio to flash with my supervillian Rom. But they say make sure its a gsm hero not a cdma..... how do I know witch I have?

You can rest assured knowing you have GSM..
Your looking in the wrong forum i guess... You say 'GSM or CDMA Hero' (Hero is also a G2 Touch... ) don't flash either of those radio's you'll brick your phone.... I think
this is the forum for the G2/Desire Z (HTC Vision), not the G2 Touch.
the G2/Desire Z comes only in GSM versions afaik...
and just for future reference as you go along. Typical CDMA devices do not have a sim card (unless they are global roaming on GSM). GSM phones have a SIM card.
Thanks guys!

WCMDA is one of the air interface standards for UMTS (so simplistically, it signifies the 3G radio while GSM represents the 2G radio).
WCDMA is a completely different standard than CDMA (and actually competes with CDMA's 3G successor, CDMA2000).

Cellular South Desire

Does anyone have a HTC Desire with Cellular South?

Some do, but there are more US Cellular CDMA Desires out there. Luckily it doesn't make a difference in ROMs!
I'm asking because I need someone to send me the stock cellular south desire software so I can send it back to CS because I deleted my backup

[Q] Virgin Mobile USA HTC One V

Hi,
I just ordered a HTC One V from the States (says it's Virgin Prepaid phone) and i'm from South Africa.
My question is, can I unlock it and will it work on Vodacom (Vodafone) network?
And is there a name for the Stock HTC One V Rom from HTC?
Many thanks.
If its from virgin mobile in the us its a CDMA phone. And Vodafone uses GSM all over the world as far as I know so no that won't work, it will only be able to be used as an iPod touch like device.

[Q] a single question regarding OTA

I bought my M8 in South Asia. Pakistan, to be exact. But my CID is VODAP001.
Does anyone know, if I will receive OTA from HTC while living in Asia, not England, where the phone came from?
P.s. I'm not sure Vodafone is English, but I'm sure its not Asian. At least, not of Pakistan.
