Could anyone tell me how I could change the i/o scheduler on barn's chopsuey v0.9.1 kernel, aside from using no-frills (it always reverts min and max clock speeds to default over time, along with the governor to on-demand)? Thanks in advance for the input.

I use "Voltage Control" app from market.. I'm on GS2, but i'm pretty sure it works on Evo too.
Just try it out

I am running Cyanogen Rc-4 with Incredikernel on my Incredible.....
I have set the speeds to 1113 and 128 using smartass governor in Cyan mod settings...
If i check set on boot will it really do it?
Or should i use Setcpu in conjunction to make sure?
Chad's kernal has a smartass governor and does this already. No need for set cpu
If you want to overclock then yes if not then no..... by default Chad's kernals are set at stock speed so if you want to overclock you will need something to overclock with.... just don't bother the min setting or smartass wont work correctly....

I recently installed a new kernel on my phone, but it was one of a number of variants of the same kernel, some with SVS others with HAVS, some with CFS and some with BFS and lastly with and without call recording.
Is there a shell command I can run to find out which CPU scheduler version I installed as I remember it was HAVSand no call recording but I cannot remember if it was CFS or BFS?
many thanks
If the clue is not in the name of the kernel, not really

Guess I'll have to re-flash it and take note of which one I am using then.
Yeah if it doesnt say in about phone or system/lib/modules, I don't think you can tell.

Doesn't antutu cpu tuner support changing io scheduler?

Apparently. My cfs kernel has the option for noop, deadline, bfq or cfq for io. Still doesn't help identify cfs or bfs process scheduler though

I'm running Cyanogen 7.2 and use ILWT 1.8 as the kernel. No matter what I do, I never see the voltage tab in SetCPU. Any help?

Undervolting happens in the kernel, not an app. You need to install an undervolted kernel (such as Pershoot's). Also, CM7 has a performance setting so there's no need to use SetCPU, just set your max and min speeds in the performance settings of CM7 and get rid of SetCPU (it's polling has proven to be a battery drain).

The kernel specifically states in its changelog that it supports changing voltages:
"Exposed VDD levels to userspace, so that voltages for all frequencies can be modded at any time"

Sorry, that must be a new feature in 7.2. Check in CM Settings under the performance tab.

The ILWT kernel is fine for undervoltung. However, you should not use SetCPU and you also won't find any options for undervolting in a CM7 settings dialog. I'd recommend using OC/UV Beater for undervolting. I am also using it for undervolting on the latest ILWT kernel.

I prefer SetCPU for a more detailed automatic profile rather than just simply 'battery low'. But I don't do the voltage settings in SetCPU either just the profiles, for the voltage settings I set them in a userinit.sh in /data/local/ (it's provided as undervolt.sh as a reference by the rom creator) and reboot so it applies it to the vdd_levels file.
Which option under Kuban Kernal Tweaks should I install if i'm looking for optimal battery life performance does not matter to me. Also great ROM!

given the screen shot. For the best battery I would go with option #4. Wheatly gov is less agressive and smartassv2 is awesome for screen off.
There are now more options on this, mainly a bunch of "Change Governor" options. Is there a list of the profiles for the governor?

I'm using Wheatley now.. What would be the best IO scheduler to use for it?

I'm having pretty good battery life with Wheatley and the SIO I/O. As for the tweaks I remember rujelus saying something along the lines that they weren't necessary but your free to try them if you want. (don't quote me on the last part, I'm thinking off the top of my head atm). If you use the tweaks you don't need to use setcpu or anything unless you want to modify the voltage.

With these scripts just flash the one you want and then open setcpu and pick your I/O?

I find that sio or cfq work the best for me.

Yep those where removed from the updater and all those and more can be edited through ExTweaks.

Well that's strange then because it doesn't show up as a governer for any of the programs I use (Setcpu 2.2.4 (the free one) or no-frills cpu control)

Its not there. Pegasusq isn't a stock governor included in stock kernels, its added into custom kernels

Oh, I see. I thought it was a samsung made governor.
