How do u delete a "Splash screen?" - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I put one on but then changed my theme and I can't get it off. Which folder would it be in and do I have to replace it or can I just delete it?

Check this thread for some replacements and where to find the file:

Why is it so hard to open .xml's !!

Someone please help before i set my laptop on fire

So why is it mentioned in almost every tutorial for editing xml? You sure your doing everything right?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
Trust me it doesn't work. It can only open standard XML files not android ones which are different
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
They're Binary XML files. Easiest solution would be to decompile the apk containing the XML files using Apk Manager and then editing them.
If viewing is all you're interested in, AXMLPrinter2 is simpler.
Otherwise try UltraEdit. This tool can open almost all formats.
Can't post link here, so just google it

3g icon

Anyone know where or what the file name for the 3g icon is? I don't like the look of the new one.

Normally the files you're looking for are located inside system/framework/framework-res.apk under the folder drawable-hdpi
In a normal rom you're be looking for 4 files:
stat_sys_data_connected_3g.png
stat_sys_data_in_3g.png
stat_sys_data_inandout_3g.png
stat_sys_data_out_3g.png
Depending on what rom you're running you might find that they're more files associated with the 3G icon, for example CM7. Your best bet if you don't know what you're doing and just want to switch out a couple of pngs is to use MetaMorph or use this kitchen....
http://uot.dakra.lt/ (very user friendly)
Also, for future reference you might want to use the search feature to find answers like this because of how often people ask and if you do in fact have to post a new thread it is to your advantage to post things like what ROM you're running or if your question(s) is about a kernel then post that as well because it helps for people like myself to answer your question(s).
Oh and here's a site where you can download whatever 3G icon you want and use MetaMorph to apply it to your theme....
www.droidpirate.com/tag/3g/
Don't forget to show the Thanks button some love if I helped you.....

Ok so i got the zip up in the linked thread. tested by just me so far and works good. Please try and confirm that it works as intended. Also thanks to the op for providing the mod in the first place.
also I think another way to get this mod to work would also be to just copy paste the sec_jack.kl file into system/usr/keylayout using root explorer.
ravizzle has created a flashable zip file you can find it on page one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1348504
Trying to flash on Syndicated Ice, and it's coming up "installation aborted"
Use the file I posted in the end of the thread. I think op attached the wrong file. The file name should be like "headset button mod signed.zip"

You will need to pull libpolarisoffice_Clipboard.so and libpolarisoffice.so from a stock rom containing it, and push them to system/lib ....
Thank you I will try and report back

polaris office apk
Use the file app to select the apk and install it.simple.done.
What version of Polaris office is the one you linked to?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
I think he might need an lib for it to work as well
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Thats the apk from the stock rom.
I just copied it to sdcard, cuz one of these roms didnt have it.
But thats stock.
Shouldnt have to add any libs.
I didnt.just installed as an apk.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
Its weird the stock apk won't install on certain roms.. or it will but won't open files - just force close. After doing research I thought correct libs were needed, but never actually got it working.

Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Dont know.im back on stock everything so cant check anymore.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
I posted a link for the lib file you need on the first page. Without that, as someone pointed out, the app will force close as soon as you try to open any documents.. There's only like 15 posts in this thread, and everything you need to know and download was provided in like the first 5.. Come on, people

Tweaks CODES for FEATURE.XML

Hello,I haven't posted much mods for a while figured I'd share some cool tweaks for your stock Samsung mms.apk Am currently using clean Rom 4.1.2
All Codes are entered in SYSTEM/CSC/feature.xml
Copy the full code of which ever ones you want within the text folder (download link) and paste it under the (message) part in your actual feature.xml file within system/csc
FEATURE.XML TWEAKS http://www.mediafire.com/?1trsan38b8ch516
Here's one screenshot of the contact pictures eliminated with one tweak.
Another Screenshot
FOR EXAMPLE:
"Will Eliminate the contact pictures in stock mms app"
<CscFeature_Message_DisableContactThumbnailInMsgList>true<CscFeature_Message_DisableContactThumbnailInMsgList>
"Will let you see a picture text in one page view instead of the "slide show" method"
<CscFeature_Message_EnableMmsOnePageViewer>true</CscFeature_Message_EnableMmsOnePageViewer>
Thanx bruh. You been missing for a while! Lol
