[Q] Status Bar stuck on lock screen - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

So I know that I am probably going to get ridiculed for this, but I figured I would give it a try.
So I am running virtuous ROM 1.31.3 on my Incredible 2 and a couple of hours ago I installed Juice Defender. Now I have notice that the status bar appears on the lock screen.
Now as I typed in the topic, it should other topics of people asking how to get it off, as if it has always been there. Now here is where I feel I am having a blonde moment. With the virtuous ROM, is the status bar always on the lock screen? If not, then how can I get it off without installing another program to do what it was doing originally?
Thanks in advance for the help. Feel free to mock and ridicule.

The status bar is and has always been shown on the stock lockscreen. lol, Are you certain that the status bar was gone from the lockscreen at one point? Now...when you reboot with fast boot on or boot up the rom for the first time, the status bar sometimes will not show up on the lockscreen, but after unlocking it it'll come back.

Lock screen

Other then turning off sense is there anyway to turn off the sense lock screen, but keep the Android one on... I tried no lock but it got rid of both lock screens...

I, too, am interested. While I love almost everything about Sense, I much prefer the standard Android 2.1 lock screen.
I wish we could use the mp3 toggle and quick message views at glance on the vanilla lock screen tho =/. I hate being in the gym and having to unlock to change a track.
Give it time someone will port over. Right now I think the DEVs are busy trying to get full root. It will come after that. I don't think it will stick until then.

Get rid of the app icons on the notification bar on Virtous?

Hey yall, I just got my G2 and I've already modded it out the wazoo, the only question I have at the moment is how do I get rid of the currently running apps on the top of the notification bar in Virtuous? It's really bugging me.
Not much of a sense fan here, but I'm assuming you have to turn off notifications for each app inside the app settings...
Not the notifications...this rom has a kind of task killer built into the notifications window

I've seen this same question asked several times, but have yet to see an answer posted. So I will go out on a ledge and say you can't.

Im running Virtuous 0.8.1 and dont have any apps in my notification bar, are you sure its not an app you installed apart from the Virtuous rom, there is no built in task killer that ive found apart from the andriod "Manage applications" or the "Running services" in the menu/settings/applications drawer, but both of these do not put anything in the notification bar.
He's talking about the row of recently used apps in the pull-down notification bar. This is a 'feature' of the new version of Sense - the only way to get rid of it would be for the ROM devs to remove it.
I'm sure you could tinker with something like the framework or something to disable it, but I wouldn't know the first thing about it. There's no easy way to do it, basically.

Oh, yeah, I have those too, dont really seem to bother me though, not a task killer just a link to recently used apps like you said.
Ugh....It's really bothering me...enough to possibly go back to CM6

Like I said in my previous post, about there are others with the same issue (doesn't bother me), but if enough of you contact HTC about this, they could possibly add an option to show or not in later releases.

Status Bar Removal beta + FullScreen beta [JellyBean]

Seeing as how some were concerned with burn-in/didn't want the status bar I'm releasing a first step towards it.
The status bar has been removed, however apps don't seem to reclaim it. I'll be working on this tonight/tomorrow and post any updates on it.
This is for Bigxie's v1 version of JB.
Update:
Adding a fullscreen version that permanently remains fullscreen after 2-3 force closes (There's only a few but they stop after a minute or two and I've yet to have any issues with anything else though I haven't extensively tested it).
XDA is having issues with photos for me, screenshot is here: http://postimage.org/image/yx6en8kif/
FullScreen Mode: http://multiupload.biz/0y10uw1bgdgh/FullScreen Mode_MultiUpload.biz.zip.html
And for those with issues:
Standard JellyBean:

one questions: are only the icons removed or the hole status bar includig the black background?
the status bar doesn't burn in. the rest of the screen just loses brightness, whereas the status bar is black and doen't emit light. the oleds in this section and in the softbutton-section don't lose brightness because they aren't used that much. that's crappy, cause it is pretty good visible after just a couple of months of usage.

The whole status bar is gone, you can't even slide it down or anything. Also could you elaborate on the losing brightness part please?
Also if anyone else has ideas I'm willing to try them. Causing the SystemUI to crash it enters the correct full screen for a min or two, but that isn't permanent nor ideal.
especially the blue subpixels lose brightness the older they get. entering fullscreen mode, let's say watching a movie, shows, that the status bar and onscreen buttons area are more blue than the rest of the screen. this is because these areas weren't used that much.
samoled is very crappy when it comes to longevity. especially for power users it's really bullsh... i had it on every samsung samoled so far. only omnia 7 with windows phone doesn't show these "burned icons" because it's mostly running in full screen, except you touch the status bar, then the icons pop in.
Lol sorry to say but after reading this thread ... I'm just as confused as the box boy in your phones background... =\ not going to try this one...

I've seen a couple of requests like that one. Notifierpro apparently lets you (I've never tried it) and my curiosity as to how to actually remove the status bar lead me to this. (I'm not so worried about the burn in, and will leave my status bar there, I just know a couple of people seemed to want it gone to remove burn in)
Why not hide it with Nova/Apex launcher?

Because it will come back whenever you go into any other app. I don't care for this mod, but can see its use for some.

I might be able to make an app do it, to swap out the SystemUI.apk when toggled. idk if you can do that with the phone running though.
hi matt
just installed your Full Screen mod
and my Gnex is never starting (stays on bootloop)
I have the Jelly Belly V2 ROM
any idea ?

Probably isn't compatible with Jelly Belly V2.
I've only tested it on bigxie's v1
strange as it it is system.apk or system UI if I'm right , so must be the same on JB ROMs

Multiview Help on 4.3

I could really use some help on this.. Tried 2 different 4.3 ROM's and it seems to be something within 4.3 I'm thinking. Anyway, When using Multiview and having both app's open at the same time, the notification bar hides. Is there anyway to prevent it from hiding? 4.1.2 doesn't have that problem and it's driving me insane trying to figure this out. If anybody has any ideas on what to try or knows the answer, please let me know.
Thanks all!

On mine, the status bar on top disappears when I have two apps running in multi-view.
However, if you move your finger downward at the top of the screen, the status line will appear.
Then you can open the status window completely with the usual downward swiping method.
I don't see any settings that lets you keep the status bar visible at all times while in multi-view.

Thanks. I'm looking for a way to keep it open while both apps are open. Is there maybe a build.prop entry I could try maybe?

So it looks like it goes straight into full screen mode when both apps are active. Is there a way to prevent full screen mode?

[Q] Missing Status Bar after installing Google Now Launcher

So I have a unlocked Fire Phone, running 3.6.8 that came shipped.
I was going to follow the guide here to turn it into a normal Android phone (http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-phone/general/guide-make-fireos-looks-feel-normal-t2898921), but noted that I will not be able to since I have 3.6.8 (please correct me if I'm mistaken). I ended up following this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-phone/general/fire-phone-how-to-install-google-play-t2977237) to get Google Play Store running nice and smoothly, and installed the Google Now Launcher since I can't stand FireOS.
However I noticed that after setting Google Now Launcher as the default launcher, the status bar up top is no longer visible, so I dont see information such as notifications, battery. time, and etc, unless I pull down the notification center.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so how were you able to correct it?
Try going into settings, display, hide status bar and make sure your status bar setting is set to on. Might be as simple as that

Ah that was it. Thank you!
Do you by any chance use any sort of on screen nav buttons? I've yet to find one that works well with the GNL.

Damn, I feel like an idiot. I've been running without the status bar for a month. I had no idea it was so simple. You made my day,
