Could someone enlighten me as to the differences in RCMix3d 234 and RCMix3d Double?
The ROM thread postings aren't too indicative. I see the kernels are different.
However, I have no clue what Pyramid vs. Doubleshot really has to do with anything?
What's it mean for the end-user I guess is my concern.
I love RcMix ROM's and the one I'm using is now unsupported. I want to upgrade to a supported ROM but am not sure which to go for.
Pyramid and doubleshot are phones from which they ported those ROMs... I think they're pretty much similar, the only difference could probably be some bugs here and there, but nothing huge...
Ah, damn. I was hoping to hear that this new one had Netflix support!
I reckon there is not much difference it's just the race of ROMS who can cook more ROM...
Pyramid is ported from the Sensation, Doubleshot is ported from the MyTouch 4G Slide. I think the Doubleshot has a slightly modified version of Sense.

I appreciate all the input! My hopes of a great custom ROM supporting Netflix is all but hopeless anymore I think.
The Netflix patch for Gingerbread breaks Sense weather.

There is entirely too much info available... I want a stable sense gingerbread rom for my incredible. A working camera is a must. Does such a beast exist? Links would be great. Thanks.

Such a beast does not exist YET. So far we've got a half working port of Incredible S which I believe is 2.3. I would really like to see it perfected. Until then the best sense ROM would be a Desire Z port, those are frigging fast.
EDIT: The Inc. S isn't GB, the Huashen or w/e is GB.

Though I do not have links handy, I will also put this information out there for you. At this time, there are 3 main gingerbread ROMs for Incredible, Cyanogenmod 7 (RC1 is out as well as nightlies), Evervolv (very slow updates), and OMFGB (kicked off this site). Currently, Cyanogenmod is the most stable and for me, the fastest. One thing the camera is missing though is 720p. This will likely be the case until we have a sense gingerbread build like you are talking about. The mentioned Incredible S port is still 2.2 based but has the new 2.5 senseui. The only gingerbread sense build out period right now is the one leaked for the Huashan (spelling?) but that has yet to be ported to Incredible yet.
Both CM7 and OMFGB have "working" cameras, but maybe not to the extent that you would want them.. it's still a work in progress.
I suggest going with chingys incrediblely re -engineered Rom.. very stable very fast with lous kernels

And you know why? Because Wildfire S has the same size of ROM as our Desire and it's running Sense 2.1 just fine. It will be probably stripped down, but still better this than nothing.
what about sense 3.0
hopefully you are right! when you mean stripped down what features are missing from the wildfire s that are normally in the ROM?
3.0 won't work as the graphics will take for ever to run properly on the Desire
I am happy with Sense 2.1
It's already possible to use sense 2.1 for our Desire. The Roms aren't stable and basicly features like the camera doesn't work at the moment.
Look at these Roms:
[ROM][Ginger Sense][04 Apr]RCMix S v06 A2SD/DATA++, long sms works, TV animation!
[ROM][Ginger Sense][2 April]Cool DesireS v1 A2sd+ 1.28.401.1 Base
Oh, thank you for informing us, Captain Obvious!
Ours version is 1.0 (at least mine is so) and I m contented to 2.1 which is available on DHD, DS and incredible-S now, hope it comes with gingerbread soon.

i''m not developer and haven''t used HTC Sensation as it just came out, but is it not possible to port Sense 3.0 due to Sensation being dual-core? or will the interface be hardware accelerated? what do you think?
HTC Sense 3.0 will only support Sensation, EVO 3D, Flyer and newer devices; older hardware left behind - From Engadget
I thought I heard that Sense 2.1 with Gingerbread was coming out for the Desire soonish...

yes i know but that''s what engadget said and they just quoted someone''s words but since ive seen miracles that developers here do i wouldn''t be surprised if they are able to port it to our desires

Nice...that's something to look forward to then.
Thanks btw.

There is a leaked Bravo (Desire) ROM already in the DEV section. Hopefully working ROMs (rooted, data++, etc.) will be up tomorrow
Tomorrow is not acceptable! We need them today!
Hahaha Actually there is a lot of time till 23:59
Actually i'm much more excited about the new drivers coming from the official release: hopefully we'll get some performance buff, especially for our poor gpu
Hello-
I was wondering if any developer would like to try porting a Sense 2.x or Sense 3.0 rom to the CDMA Desire. We don't have a single Sense rom for our phone besides the official sense 1.x RUU. I along with many owners of this phone are begging for someone to port their rom, but we have not received any help. Any time you spend on this is much appreciated and I am sure that plenty of people would be willing to donate.
Thanks!

I would love this as well, but it's not very likely to happen. I believe all the GSM Desire Sense rom's are avaliable due to a dev leak. The CDMA Desire is still only on Froyo for a Sense Kernel.
I'm trying to create an easy guide for CDMA user's since it almost needs it's own forum to make it easier for new users.
It would be nice to see sense 3.0 on our devices. I wonder if there's a way to port gsm rom on cdma device? Maybe someone can give a clue?
There have actually been some recent developments that have made the "possible." I am currently testing a version of Sense 2.1+3.0 that I have ported to the CDMA Desire with coolexe's new kernel. Some stuff isn't quite right yet (no wifi/gps/bluetooth due to kernel issues) and lack of space since I have had to port from the HTC incredible which doesn't have roms that utilize SDEXT like the Desire has to. Long story short, I have Sense 2.1 + some 3.0 elements running on my BravoC, but the data space is low (30mb after fresh install) and I have some other minor issues to work out.
wow, that would be AWESOME! I have been trying every sense 2.5 to runnymede's latest 4.0 sense rom, and have yet to have one go through. this explains it all! con247, that would be awesome man, let us know if you get it working. if you need help testing/finding bugs, i would be more than happy to help
After seeing all of these Sense 3.0-based ROMs hitting the development section, I was just wondering if somebody is working on just a simple, debloated Sense 3 ROM with little deviation from stock? I'm still somewhat new to this so if it's something that's impossible to do then I understand. Just curious.
I agree, Pete needs to switch over to the HTC side already....

He's still pretty dedicated to the Nexus S and Droid still so i doubt he's going to be choosing the Incredible 2 with all the new moto phones coming out, I'll think he'll go that route. I use Virtuous Unity, and it is stock I belive. If not, there is little deviation from stock.
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
Virtuous is as stock a sense 3.0 experience as you will get on the inc2.
Virtuous is almost the exact same ROM as the stock Sensation. Hell it even still says the Sensation number under build. You wont find anything closer. It is debloated as well.
Thanks guys. I guess I will continue to keep Virtuous as my main backup.
pyramid and virtuous are both almost entirely stock 3.0 atm
As of right now what is currently the fastest/smoothest Sense rom that is still being supported by the dev? Any comments are appreciated
As far as still supported you might be hard to find consitency...
My opinions would be for:
TeeROM 3.0 - developers "final" version
Stock+ 3.01 - Not getting active dev but its by far one of the best Sense roms.
McSense 2.6 - Another solid but non-dev rom
Edit: The likelyhood of finding a sense rom 2.1 or higher that is fast on the incredible is very unlikely. Way to resource needy.

My port of MikG is snappy and trouble free. Of course I could be a little biased. Lol. But seriously. It is the best Sense 2.1 + ROM as far as stability and speed. That's why I ported over the newest version for us. Try it at theMikMik. MikG Incredible forum. I think you'll be pleased.
Sent from my HTC Droid Incredible
I'd say any of the Sense 1.0 roms should be fine. If you want one without bloat, or many tweaks, Liberation 3.0 would fit the bill. It's been tested for stability. It is the final version though.
McSense is also a good choice for some theming and tweaks.
I just avoid any rom based off of another phone (port). Including Sense 3.0+
Personally I run a custom cm7 kang that I've stripped down and removed everything I deemed unnecessary. Turned off animations, use Launcher Pro, and it flies faster than any Sense rom.

I would have to go with mikg man, this thing flys !

What parts of sense are you wanting intact? If you're simply looking to stay away from AOSP, my experience with Insensitive Minimalist has been excellent. Very fast and designed to be highly customizable. I like it so much for its stability and compatibility I keep flashing back to my backup of that while I wait on issues to get hammered out of ICS. My other dinc is running Stock+, so if you want a ROM that is mostly stock, its also good. Inc Ultimate looks like its worth a try, but I haven't gotten around to it.
Ultimately, "still in development" is something I don't think applies to any sense Rom at the moment, as most of the really active devs seem to have moved on to other devices.
I flashed MikG and so far I'm loving it How is it with Gingertiny kernel?
I haven't tried them all, but have tried a few of the Sense 3.5 roms - and of course my stock Sense 2 roms - Virtuous Unity, Sense...quite slow and laggy.
Also tried BeatMod Bliss Sense - again same story...slow, laggy.
But just switched from G-Lite 2 (non sense rom( to MikRoms MikRunny 1.0 and for a Sense 3.5 based rom it's FAST. Faster than my original slow Gingerbread ROM, actually!
Add Supercharger script and a SDcard partition and you're flying ;-)
Oh I have a Desire Z, so RAM/speed is a real issue. So impressive that a ROM could run anything about Sense 2 at anything but prehistoric speeds :-D
