I started with cyanogen (rc1) - ( i think! ) and found a little laggy, jumped in and flashed jokergen beta, and things seem a fair bit more fluid, if ya know what i mean.

Its personal taste. I use CM7 stable which is (as the name suggests) stable. It depends if you want AOSP on sense

Just so you know - FM and Video Recording do not work in CM6.
cm 7.0.3 seems fine for me and everything works
I'm finding CM7 buggy in the long run also. Have this regular problem where opening messages leaves me with a blank screen which sometimes appears if I rub the screen up and down.
need to stick a better rom than the one i am running on the phone at the moment as it is quite old now and hasnt been updated for ages. i am currently using one of the camera mods to enable my green lense camera to shoot high def.
i see the greenbread mod will allow me the chance to have high def video recording on a gingerbread rom and so my question is.
which 2.3 rom should i choose that works with the greenbread mod, that will give good battery life (minimum of 24 hours medium useage), that is fast, stable and if possible can be themed?
thanks in advance
Which ROM are you on at the moment?
You can take last CM7 nightlies, battery drain is solved and it's the fastest ROM.
If you want an official ROM, take CEE or Nordic.
rom on at the moment is the old leaked froyo 3.4.2.117.
Is cee or nordic 2.3? i thought they were 2.2.
thought about cm7 but i dont think greenbread mod works on there. correct me if i am wrong cos if i am then i will jump on the cm7 bandwagon gladly.
Sorry, sorry and sorry !
Yes, CEE and Nordic are 2.2 and yes, greenbread mod doesn't work yet on CM7...

where can I find this? The cyanogenmod nightlies section is blank on their website?
Sometimes it wobbles under load (lots of people downloading) - wait a while and try again ... http://defy.tanguy.tk/jordan-nightly/ is the one I use and its pretty damn reliable overall....

thanks bud i will give it a go.
it amazes me the number of replies from people who dont actually read the op properly!
i may yet try cm7...
does anybody know if i can enable the camera mod for the green lens that allows 848x640 video? i am using that mod at the moment and it works perfect. in all honesty if i could enable this then i would more than likely go with cm7.
so if anyone knows let me know if not the rom above looks like the winner.
I have the HTC Wildfire, rooted. Now im wondering which roms beside cm7 are good?
I need a rom thats fast and stable?
what do you suggest? sense roms or what?
There are so many wonderful ROMs available.
I would advice you to try them all and decide what you want to stick with.

ah i would like but i dont have so much time to try all, thats why im asking here what people think..
i dont care if its and cm, sense, or whatever type of rom, i just want a fast and stable rom
Okay mate, then you should go with Rempuzzle Rom,its fast and stable at the same time and its quite beautiful as well.
Some day give CM9 a try,it has few bugs but still its awesome,I'm in love with it.

Here is CM9 for the Wildfire: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344
I have just installed it and it's beatiful!
It works pretty fast and there are not so much bugs, so I think I'm going to use it as my main ROM
Since wildfire stock is sense rom. Then I would think you should try rom other than sense first. May be CM7 (Gingerbread) and CM9 (ICS) rom. If you still like to stick to sense rom then try Rempuzzle, Froyo rom with partial sense 4 skin.
thanks for the link ) i dont know willbi try it right now,but i will follow this thread until i see the few bugs fixed.. for now the 7.2 is working great for me.. one thing that i would love to have is either a miui or cm9 rom.. but we will see..
i have one more question, its off topic ,but how can i make my statusbar transparent?

Hey guys
I've just installed the JellyBaby ROM on my Desire Z, cause I'm really addicted to this rom. It is really smooth and so on. But something's bothering me: The Camera.
Before I've had the JellyBaby ROM, I got the TrickDroid ROM. Ok, I know it's a total difference between these Roms, cause the first one is AOSP and the second is a Sense ROM. But the Camera is really awesome..
Now to my question... Is there a way to extract the Camera and install it on the JellyBaby ROM? If this is not possible, is there a way to improve the camera?
I'll look forward to your answers
Yours,
Receiver996
I'm thinking about changeing ROM in my Desire, Right now I'm using MildWild 5 (from here) but it's missing few small things I need.
Which of GB ROMs do you recommend? Why GB? Because I would like to have Camera fully working (only one 4.0 ROM has it running, but that ROM is only in English and Chinese).
Looking for something stable, this is the most important for me, someting that doesn't have problems with battery and of course has camera fully working. Also it need to have more then just english and chinese language
Would be nice if it was something based on Sense ROM's with few adjustments. Have tried already LeeDroid and I'm thinking about using it once again, but wanted to know if there is something else worth to try.
Thank you
Best Rom so far (AOSP)

PS: to have a sense feel, use supernova rom
there is cool ex sense ics themed rom or you could try mildwild for a stock ,dont go for any sense rom base on 3.5 or higher found they lag like hell
any rom based on sense 3.0 and below works well .

If u want stable , u should go to stock rom
Mildwild is still my favourite since its fast and stable.
I tried ChromiumRom for its look but found it to be a little laggy for my daily usage http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2205516
MIUI-XJ was my first rom and really liked for its ability to switch up themes easily in 2.3.7 and its "iPhone-esque" feel but soon realised it was a bit heavy on resources and thus battery suffered.
Desire is getting old now so i would say go for the latest 'stable and fast' blend of ROM.
Presumably you are needing video camera to work fully, not just the still camera?
CarbonRom KitKat 4.4.3 and AOSB KitKat 4.4.4 - these are my favorites.
4.4.4 Beanstalk RC6
It's faster than GB!
Do you want stability and absolutely everything working? Then go for any (aosp preferably) gingerbread rom.
Do you want bleeding edge of development? Then go for the latest evervolv nightly based on 4.4.4 android. But you should forget video recording and expect some rough edges and no guarantees on stability.
It is a matter of choice after all.

There are quite a few Stable, GB Roms with a working camera, I am using Nlooooo's stock sense GB Rom with everything fully working (inc 720p Video Recording), its rooted, and has a2sd support.
Here is the link if youre interested, in my opinion its the best ROM ive ever had on the Desire. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1523325
All the best
