Turn off "4G!" notification? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know how to turn off the "4G!" notification that seems to constantly be there if you have the antenna on and there's no service? I want to leave the radio on as I am constantly moving and go in and out of 4G range throughout the day.
The notification is akin to the wireless network availability notification, except that one has a clear way to be turned off via the wireless network settings.
I am rooted and running the latest stock de-odexed ROM from xHausx.
Here's a screenshot of the notification I'm referring to

I 'could be wrong', but i don't think there's a way to do that right now.

About the only way is to turn off the antenna when your out of range of 4g. You can add a widget to make it a little quicker then going into settings.

[Q] Data connection notification

Hi everybody,
I just installed a brand new ROM for my Desire, with 2.3.5 and Sense 3.5
This is the first time I try a sense 3.5 ROM, and I noticed that now when I am connected with 3G I have a new notification icon with 2 arrows (up and down), and if I scroll down the notification area I can see to which APN I'm connected, if I click I can even choose a different APN.
Is it possible to remove this notification item?? I don't see any reason to have it, it justs fills the space up, how can I get rid of it?
Thank you,
ildanish
Same ... with WildfireS @ sense 3.5

Cannot figure out why its been on all the time. I run my nexus an airplane mode most of the time if that's the cause.

Its like that by default. You can make it turn off when the screen is off in the WiFi advanced settings if you want. Not sure why you'd want it to turn off though, as you won't receive any notifications because you won't be connected...

Interesting.. I've seen it not have wifi on at times during sleep, seemed to get slightly better battery.

[Q] Why can't I search for networks

Phone is working fine, can make and receive calls. On a road trip through some remote areas I noticed there was no signal. Upon reaching area with cell service, my phone doesn't seem to "auto detect" it's back in civilization. Always picks up a signal after a re-boot, but that shouldn't be necessary. I figured I could force it to search for networks instead of rebooting, but when I go to the settings, the options are greyed out.
I'm on my 3rd M8 due to their #$&* build quality, all of them were bone stock (no rooting or ROMS) and all have had the search for network option greyed out.

(Q) Little key icon

Hello, i just updated my mother's T2 dual to lollipop. I noticed this little key icon on the top right corner of notif. shade, which i think there's should be signal icons on it. Does anybody know what's that meant? And how to get rid of it?
Here's the pic of it

meaning of that icon is that, your device network is being monitored,
some app(s), like firewall, antivirus, or something, is controlling device network.

scroll down & check communication section in Source link all LP icons meanings by Google.

what notification are you referring to? if you mean the notification of speed network you as need to go settings/display/status bar & dotch/show network speed
Thanks for replying. I was referring to the "selected" and "call forwarded" messages. They would hang out there for a very long period of time. Frozen. I reset my phone and they come and go quickly now. Do you know the name of the notification type that they are?
I don't know the name maybe warnings, alerts, I don't know but they are from the phone app, maybe if stop the app and clear cache and data.
When I have the voicemail notification I do that and function
