Hey. Thank you for your keyboard, i'm addicted to swype but will give it a try since swyping isn't that comfortable on a tablet for me.
Have a question, i've been looking in the market and there seems to be a paid version also. What are the differences between the free and the paid version?
Not your case explicitly, but this is something i feel almost every developer in the market fail in making clear, usually have to read up several comments and reviews from people to figure that out. Wish market had some sort of way to compare main points among different apps...
Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. I updated the desctiption in the market.

Therefore I'm struggling to text precisely.
Anybody could recommend a keyboard that is:
- the most precise for fat fingers
- does the job the old input way(no swype, or wierd layouts)
- doesn't take 99% of the screen.
- no text prediction help.
I was using swiftkey so far, and it slowly learns my "style", but still I have to all the time choose the right word if I mistype something.
I know I might ask a lot, but all I need really just an accurate keyboard!
Thanks for any suggestion!
I am using Scandinavian Keyboard ( Download from Market ) and using HTC Skin for it ( You can choose it when you have Installed Scandinavian Keyboard )..... and those letters are pretty damn big

Yeah, but if you go to "Settings > Locale and text > Scandinavian Keyboard > Skin" and choose HTC.... you will get different skin and those letters are a little bigger, work perfect for me
But that suppose to be the same, only different skin. In that case the points you push are not changed at all!
Use a knife and sharpen those.
Sorry, had to.
How about "Thumb Keyboard" from market...in Landscape-Mode it could be the right one for you?!
...and now (after seeing you fingerfoto) i have to order a couple of Hot-Dogs because my stomach is making some strange noise!
Lol cheers guys, yeah those sausages are juicy sweet.
I got a heads up on thumb keyboard, but it has also wierd layout, I've just tried it today!
Sharpening fingers is not mad, it just messes up the display with blood.
So that's it, no more recommendations?
Htc Ime mod by jonasl, set it to Compact Qwerty.
Works for me.
Can't find it. Where is it?

LMGTHF made me smile lol, usually I'm the one sending it to ppl
I'll check it out tho, cheers.
It has extensive config options, I disable 90% of them (T9, auto spaces and stuff... it slows me down)
I really cant live without this kb.
Noo, unfortunately compact querty has problems with my language, and without prediction it slows down my typing
I came across a thumbs keyboards the other day but the name alludes me it looked quite good though

You can try typing in the fat finger in the iTunes store...this keyboard would be perfect for you, but you would have to check with the developers to see if it can be installed on the program you are having difficulty with.
Good luck,

RTL issue
An annoying issue which will probably send me looking for another keyboard soon:
Parentheses appear backwards when typed in RTL box.

1. When i type something in Hebrew it RTLs the input box (caret moves to the right edge, as it should)
2. now if i type parentheses they appear backwards
Hi guys,
On the Samsung Wave there is a feature called T9 Trace, which basically offers Swype gestures with the qwertz (German) AND the numeric keypad.
In Galaxy S2 there is no Swype for the numeric keypad, but I am using this now for nearly a year and would not like to miss it.
Is there a way/an app to have the numeric keypad WITH the Swype feature on the Galaxy S2 (like T9 Trace in Samsung Wave)?
Thank you in advance.
Nobody knows a keyboard app with numeric layout AND Swype/T9 Trace for the Galaxy S2? Bad news. :-/
I read your message yesterday but i don't get what you're missing with swype. If you need a numeric keypad with Swype just swype from the swype button (bottom left) to the letter F (aka number 5).
That is what we are looking for: Swype with numeric keypad.

It is much faster and comfortable to text.
Right, thats actually a layout called "3x4 layout"
And i'm very sorry i don't know if this exists. Perhaps you can find alternatives that offer that. GoKeyboard, SlideIt.
I dont know which offers this, but have a look yourself now that you know the name of the layout.
Thanks. I searched now for two days and installed a lot of keyboard programmes, but really none of them offered a 3x4 layout PLUS Swype.
Either it was 3x4 or it had Swype on qwertz/qwerty.
That really sucks. :-/
Hey, did you manage to find T9 Trace APK anywhere? or anything similar?
I also make use of the T9 keyboard and would love to be able to swype on it instead of tapping. Let me know if you managed to find something to that effect.

Yeah, I do only use the 3x4 layout and hate tapping, as it is much slower than sliding on it. I really miss "T9 Trace" from Bada.
Unfortunately, I have not found a solution/keyboard app, that supports that technique.
Did anyone find a solution for that problem in the meantime?
For all interested: I found a solution (app) for our problem. Ultra Keyboard from Binary Bulge has got Swype in 3 x 4/numeric keypad layout.
It is still not as good as the T9 Trace on Samsung Wave, bu I am really happy about this.

Hi,
I was searching for the solution for he same problem. I came acress your post.
I was also using Samsung Wave 2 phone. T9 3x4 keypad was so easy to use. Now I have switched to Galaxy S3.
This basic feature is missing in most advanced phones.
In Bada the toggling(Turn On & Off) between T9 dictionary is so convenient in 3x4 keypad itself.
But android is missing that feature. We have to go insite the settings and turn on or off the dictionary. And also i could not find the swype in 3x4 kaypad.
Thanks for your post. you were following it for almost more than a year for the solution

Yeah, I am even still checking out new ways, because Ultra Keyboard is working good for now, but the T9 Trace thing for Wave was slightly faster and more comfortable.
A guy at the Atrix forum told me the TouchPal keyboard app would do the same, but there was a misunderstandig, because I tested it and it does NOT have this feature.
So, still Ultra Keyboard is the only one. Btw, you can toggle it directly in the Ultra Keyboard with the button "TAP". You do not have to change it in the settings. Only dictionary changing is in settings, but with Ultra you can change the menu line (the order) above the keypad, so that you have a button directly for languages. It is not as fast as in the Wave models, but it is only two clicks instead of one.
If you need help, I can provide a screenshot.

That is how I set up the keyboard app with book (for languages) on the left side and smiley (for smileys obviously) on the right side. So, everything is withing one's click reach.

Basically by installing this application, as soon as you receive a notification, the front flash of your phone starts blinking as it were a notification LED.
It can be useful to all those (but not only) that have a device without the notification LED, but instead have a flash next to the selfie camera.
Various settings are also available to better configure the application to suit your needs.
It works on all devices equipped with a front flash, regardless of whether or not it has the hardware notification LED.

Slick!
While Moto display serves a similar purpose, there are times I'm across the room from my phone, and I think this will come in handy.
I do have a couple suggestions:
Include a "select all" toggle in the list of excluded apps. I only want this turned on for high priority notifications (SMS, missed call, FB messenger and Google voice in my case). It was a little bit of a pita to go through and disable it on a long list of apps individually.
Add a "quiet hours" toggle to disable during certain times, e.g. when I'm sleeping. Or integration with existing quiet hours settings on the device if that's possible.
Edit: derp, missed the quiet hours, it's already there. Sorry.

It can be useful to all those (but not only) that have a device without the notification LED, but instead have a flash next to the selfie camera.
It also extends the concept of notification to the unread badges received from the applications (e.g the "Facebook like"). So, when an unread badge occours, in the same way as a "normal" notification the flash starts blinking and you will be notified of what's going on.
Various settings are also available to better configure the application to suit your needs.

Tests have been performed on Samsung devices, in particular but not only on the J series.

FrontFlash Notification
Just an update for Exynos chipset based device users... the front flash detection issue is not related to the chipset.
For some strange reasons (don't ask me why), on the new devices series (Exynos of course), Samsung has implemented only partially the Camera2 API for the developers. Hardware level: LIMITED (partial Camera2 support)
This is why at the time been my app can't use the front flash on your device.
In the next few days I'm going to produce a new 1.7 version, where if Camera2 fails the app takes control over the camera and his front flash using the old Android API.
Based on the first tests, fortunatelly this seems to fix the problem.
Keep in touch

Hi thanks for your feedback.
I never used and tested the Samsung Email client, I expected it to work properly as per the other apps.
(have you check the Samsung Email app is not enabled in the exclusions list?)

And yes, feel free to share or include this app in your Script, only take care to use the latest store release.
