Can someone please tell me how I can uninstall the gingerbread theme from my epic 4g? I installed it, and at first I received a bunch of force closes, and then when I proceeded to turn the phone off, and back on again, I got nothing but a blank screen. Any suggestions?
Re flash your rom and you'll be good

No. just wipe cache and dalvik no need to wipe data unless switching roms

If you have already flashed the theme then the framework is there... clearing the dalvik and cache will only bring it back not uninstall it.

Bottom of my themes list is the stock theme/framework, flash this and clear your dalvik and you'll save your rom and settings. Bringing you back to stock.

No kernel, you need to grab one. I suggest Genocide 2.0. You can flash them back to back.
Also FYI, there is a Q and A section for questions. some internet police wanna be mods may get upset. Also kernel is with an e...

Yeah, the purple CWM. Wipe data, cashe, and dalvik 3 times each, install zip from sd card, kernel, install zip, rom, reboot.
That will get you there.
Thank you...

WOOOT! Fellow Packers Fan!!
couldnt resist.
i just brought my phone back to full life from installing one of the custom roms, that for some reason gave me a bunch of problems. boot into cwm, do a full factory wipe, convert back, then nandroid restore. you should be good to go.
It had nothing to do with ext4 so you know nor was it the rom.......

I'm not saying it does... but I'm trying to figure out why the phone wasn't acting right when I installed the rom.
Cuz I'm back on cleangb

Wipe data,wipe cache, wipe davlik
Flash legendary 2.2
Flash samurai tw.bml.ronin5
Boot up.
What your problem was possibly that you flashed the theme prior to the boot up. ?

Best bet these days is to do a factory reset, flash the ROM then advance restore data from a good Nandroid. I have never had any problems that way.

Kenny, I'm going to try ur way and see what happens. Ur right though, a factory reset is always the best way

im trying to flash blazer ROM but its not working. Screen just turns black after the Samsung S screen or the top bar only shows up. Any advice will be very helpful

Did you flash with clockwork mod? If so in CW did you do a factory reset/wipe data and wipe the cache/dalvik cache?
I didn't factory reset maybe thats my problem. And yeah its cwm. Ima try it.

My recommendation just to cover all parts because these phones can be weird is to:
From CWM:
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache and dalvik cache
-install ROM
-wipe data/factory reset
-and wipe cache and dalvik cache
Sometimes for me if I would remove my sim card or any external sd cards that would some how fix the problem. Hope that works!
Thanks dude ima try it one more time. I just flashed it but it didnt work ima try flashing again

also you might have a bad download use a md5 checker to confirm if its good or not. of it is download again of course.
Which version are you tryin to flash? If its 3.8 then you should flash 3.7 first, let it boot up, go back to recovery then flash calkulins modified format all (no data) found in the blazer rom thread and finally during the same recovery session flash 3.8

Why do plp not use md5 checker. Here now use it.
so i just downloaded the jellybean rom v4 and it showed me other add ons.
i downloaded this "Blue_Toggles-StockBatt-v2"
i was wondering how i could add it to change my green color battery to blue?
Probably flash thru clockwork recovery. Wipe cache, dalvik cache and fix permissions
