I Know G1 can have some kernel to support SWAP Partition. To our Desire, for large games, ram runs out.
I have looked for a Desire kernel to get SWAP, plz Help...
Get the sources of the kernel & compile it whit swap support.
But believe, you don't need it for Desire.

Hi all,
A very quick one... can you name the ROM you're happiest with at the moment and the one you've had the most success with.
Thanks!

how did you manage do install it without new bootrom?
if you mean the bootloader, yes, the stock rom flashes the 0.80 bootloader.
iirc there's a guide around there to flash custom roms also with the new bootloader.

Hi devs,
today morning it was news on the xda portal, that it is possible to have 4 ROMs installed on the Droid Incredible, and to choose which one you want to boot up.
Here is the thread
I hope somebody will be interested, and we get at least a dualboot. Would be nice especially, that there is the Ubuntu project now.
The only problem is, that we don't have 8GB internal storage, but we have sdcard (where the Ubuntu runs from to)
I will delete this thread as soon as a dev makes an other one for making the development happen.

yes, it's possible, but it's a bit tricky.
but this way we could have a Sense, a CM and Ubuntu on our DHD at the same time Wouldn't it be nice?

you are right, it is the case with Incredible, but you can run Ubuntu natively on your DHD and it uses your sdcard, so it would be possible to install the ROMs there
I want win 7 also.. Lol

I'm with you.
But wait a second! You can run it in a virtual machine in Ubuntu.
You see?! I solved it for you. LOL
I was kidding about w7, but multi boot would be great! Dhd has more than enough internal memory

IF we did get this ported to the dhd, would it be good to go for an inspire user like me? or would it take some more dev time to also port it for the inspire. I'm still not technically aware of what dhd and inspire's differences are..
EDIT: also, are the inspire and dhd's internal memory the same?
That's great idea!!
The desire HD have enough internal memory to have cm7 and sense at the same time.
Cmon devs!

Yeah, this would be awsome.. Hope someone can make it work on DHD.. Maybe check with the Droid dev and see if he has any pointer´s...
Conap wrote, that the apk need to be changed :/
Hey
I am currently searching for a Kernel with swap file support for DHD. I'd prefer one that is compatible with ARHD but anything is welcome.
(Don't say me I don't need swap, a post counter is not the world )

These kind of information is not helpful. Write all information you get and never ever "and so on".
Running any apps like SetCPU or a script like vipermod (controls the cpu voltages dependet on the clock)?
I had the same problem. My solution was to use a2sd instead of amarullz AD2SDX. By some reason my phone kept crashing all the time when i used AD2SDX, but it worked smooth with a2sd
(Now im running SuperNova because the battery life is waaay better and it works like a charm too! )

And how can you change back to a2sd from aramullz AD2SDX?? do we need to re-install the whole rom again?
I did so... didn't want to risk anything

And how much space will remain if I use ICS by Sandvold??
Hello guys.
You know where to find a stock rom on my wildfire s no brand?
My phone is unlocked with htcdev and also wanted to know if putting the original sense rom, I can fix the problem with the internal memory ext2sd or some program that shows me the partition sd as internal memory.
Thanks in advance for your answers!

init.d support requires to use scripts like int2ext+ and also its necessery to use some tweaks.
check this thread if you want to add that support :
