These kind of information is not helpful. Write all information you get and never ever "and so on".
Running any apps like SetCPU or a script like vipermod (controls the cpu voltages dependet on the clock)?

I had the same problem. My solution was to use a2sd instead of amarullz AD2SDX. By some reason my phone kept crashing all the time when i used AD2SDX, but it worked smooth with a2sd
(Now im running SuperNova because the battery life is waaay better and it works like a charm too! )

And how can you change back to a2sd from aramullz AD2SDX?? do we need to re-install the whole rom again?

I did so... didn't want to risk anything

By using AD2SDX by aramullz i got like 576 MB of space to install apps............. How much will i get if i use generic A2SD??
And how much space will remain if I use ICS by Sandvold??

Yes, there are some battery issues. I tried it (heavy usage) and found out that after a day, battery was below 30%. Anyways battery life depends on how u use it.

CM7 ...CM7 r2?

So I am running some old Rom on Bravo CM7 ...got it to work ages ago. now i'm back and I keep seeing CM7 r2?
can i use a rom made for this? do i need to "upgrade" to r2? if so, can someone point me in the right direction? sory for beign so noob...i've completely lost the touch to this awesome place!
thanks
oh one more question...how do i know what I have: A2SD/A2SD+, D2W, D2EXT -PART ? where can I check this?
Cm7r2 is a hboot which alters the size of the partitions. Not sure if you know that or not?
If you don't know what you have to move x to sd-ext, you can find out.
in settings, how big is "internal storage"? If 147MB, a2sd. If much more, data2sd

Thanks for the quick answer. Yeah I know what it is, just not whether mine (CM7) is any different to CM7 r2 (which is what i'm seeing all new Roms support). Do i HAVE to get CM7r2? how would I change my hboot is the question I suppose...I've forgotten how i did it once upon a time
and thanks for the checking internal storage trick (it's way more than 147...so must be data2sd)

easiest way I have found to flash a HBOOT (as described on alpharev.nl) is to download the PB99IMG, rename it to PB99IMG, stick it on the SD card and boot into HBOOT mode.
The fastboot-method is also very easy.
Sent from dGB using Transparent XDA App
"Android Flasher" is also very easy.

Drag-On,
This thread seems to have developed into a discussion about how to flash a new hboot, without answering the original question.
When you say that you are running 'on Bravo CM7', are you referring to the CM7 ROM or the CM7 hboot?
If you are referring to hboot, the main difference is that the original CM7 hboot has a /system/ partition of 130MB. The r2 version has a slightly larger 145MB size.
You don't have to 'upgrade' to cm7r2 unless the ROM you want to flash has a system size greater than 130MB.
ascot17, you nailed it on the head! however, most of the other guys...no, ALL the other answers were useful in their own way...

The best way to open a new thread about it. I'll beat them to it by recommending either Runnymede or ICS - not sure if it would fit in cm7r2 tho.

[Q] ViperX 3.2.1 Problems

Hi
I've used the new viper Rom and i had some problems i couldn't fix
for example i can't use play store and my phone was a bit laggy
can someone help me???
THX
BTW what do you think of the Viper rom ? You liked it or you didn't or maybe you'd expected more?? Its just a curiosity

I would reflash the rom with a full wipe if i we`re you. Have you erased the cache after flashing the viper boot.img (fastboot erase cache)? For me it is 99% perfection. It is superfast, rockstable and very nice skins available. No issues with Play and certainly not laggy.

do you mean quadrant score? because that doesnt mean anything
Never had these issues ! No lag and no problems with the playstore in any way. Did you checked the MD5 from the rom.zip ?
And yes its a fine rom ! Its stable and batt friendly (at least for me)

Not only that, any bench is lower than the HOX stock and in game its a bit slower than other roms

Sorry but im a bit noob(as my name says XD) whats MD5 and specificly where do i find it??
The MD5 number is a code embedded in the rom.zip, the right MD5 is right under or above the download link in the OP of the thread ..... You can check after downloading with a MD5 checker (Google ) the MD5 cecksum of the rom.zip to see if its correct ... if not you have a bad download !

Mine ran totally fine when I had it installed. RAM and CPU were both lower than with the stock ROM.
I haven't really run any benchmark tools, since I think it's running fine anyways, I know it's faster than 99% of the android devices around, which makes me completely happy.
I think you should just reflash it.
Flash boot.img, erase cache. Data wipe, Dalvik wipe, format /system.
Then just install the ROM.
I know you aren't stupid, but maybe you missed something.
And now my opinion about the ViperX ROM:
I like 2.7.1 more, because the battery lasts longer plus the vertical quick settings in the notification area is what I was desperately looking for. (Just because I loved this on MIUI - HTC HD2 too :laugh
This ROM is by far the most extended HOX ROM I've seen out there. Love it!

Cant use play store? Phone was bit laggy? Well, thats sad, for Venom ViperX is the fastest i witnessed!
Do a md5 check of the rom.zip ? Maybe its a bad flash.
Are you using a custom kernel ?
I ran an MD5 check with the phone app and its the same no bad download ill try to reflash with the recommended kernel
I use stock kernel
And when the question pops up which kernel you use....read the question carefully. You have to chose NO ! (That will say you are on stock kernel)
I reflashed everythig one more time and now is working fine
I just have a little problem: i dont know where i can turn on power saving mode
One more qustion has anybody tried the new custon kernel with or without this rom ?
Thx one more time

Try this, follow my steps
1. Boot up into recovery mode
2. Wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache
3. Install ROM + GApps
4. Install the beginners patch in the local UltraBeam GB patch thread download all 3 or 2
You can easily get the update for V 1.0.7 from OTA
5. reboot system, now see the results?
Also try mini turbo boost, it increases UltraBeam GB way more faster :good:
