I was wondering if someone could port or just extract the Weatherbug Widget that comes on the Droid Charge?
Example: http://androidheadlines.com/wp-cont...d-charge-2011-05-02-800-22-e1304436907234.jpg
I'm on EF02, and as many of you have noticed it's missing most of the widgets, so for a clock I've been using the MIUI clock.
The one up there looks pretty sweet, so if somebody can get their hands on it that would be great.

Hah, I like beautiful widgets, but at times it just looks and feels really cheap. Not worth the money.
I don't know I'm weird

I just got rooted for the first time I got EVO Deck 1.2.1. Love how fast and light weight it is, but I really miss the clock/weather widget that was part of the standard EVO install. Is there anyway to get that back without having to buy one of the clones off the market? The clones are all similar, but not quiet the same and usually have a bunch of ads in there.
I miss the windshield wiper when I unlocked my phone and it was raining.
Just get Beautiful Widgets.
You can't get the stock clock because that is for Sense.
Closest you'll get is this.

Cool, thanks

Fancy Widget in the market is almost identical to stock "sense" weather.
Most of the live wallpapers I use introduce lag when navigating around the home screen. Is this the case for everyone?
And if it is, why bother having them? Seems to favor style over functionality.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
I think everyone gets the lag. It's worse with some wallpapers than with others. It's not only the loss of performance but they also tend to use more battery. I don't bother with them. In fact, I like a pure black background.
Each to their own.
Yes its the case for everyone. Every LWP except "Phase Beam".
Paradigm runs well vertically with all lwp baked in the rom. Horizontally lags some. That said 3 of the lwp run well on my phone. Running stock and almost stock kernel.
bow chicka wow wow.

Then why have it? I don't get why Google would add a feature that slows down the UI. It's a tease. "Here, check out these really cool looking features that slows down the user experience."
Not yelling at you obviously, just ranting

Well this has generally been the case for all previous versions of Android, too....

It's not all live wallpapers. The ones from Maxelus (https://play.google.com/store/apps/...XhlbHVzLnNoYWRvd2dhbGF4eWxpdmV3YWxscGFwZXIiXQ..) don't lag at all - and the Galaxy Pack is pretty complex. I was using the Galaxy Pack for the last few months until I made an Aperture Laboratories (static) wallpaper.
I think it's more of a coding issue than the feature itself. 'Don't hate the game, hate the player' - as it were...
Here's a thread with more lag-less suggestions:

I was burnt out on Live walls when they showed up on the Droid 1
Disliked the performance hit then, dislike it just as much now.

I like Phase Beam because its subtle.
Ya know, if you turned off Wallpaper scrolling, that takes away a lot of the lag
Also, Force GPU Rendering on the UI helps a lot.
Renderscript is what runs Live walls, which is already GPU rendered.
I got really bad live wallpaper lag only on stock Gnex.
Flashed AOKP and franco and even the most sluggish life wallpaper is now smooth.
Wow I thought the display looked great as is and I decided to try this app. Just add +10 blue and the colors look a lot cooler, which I prefer and I think it looks better than the stock. This may be because I'm used to the oversaturated cool colors of super amoled displays but its still fun to play around with.

That's fantastic, do you know if settings are applied after boot?
Edit:
Nevermind, just found this option in app settings.
GREAT APP!
Just added +3 to blue and my yellow tint screen become perfect!
Nice find. I tried +10 blue but I found it wasn't to my taste. Grey's came out blue as well which was unattractive in my opinion.
I tried it few days ago and I fell it make the phone a bit laggy , anybody ?

It absolutely lags the device. I had tried it before I saw this thread and figured I'd chime in here for others.
The way this works is by applying a color filter to all graphic output. Whatever process it is using to do this is slowing down rendering. Maybe you don't notice it in Rosie (Sense's launcher) but it's absolutely noticeable using Nova.

yeah guys, unfortunately like other have said it does create a lot of lag, hopefully someone will be able to create a similar mod without the lag.
No lag using Apex Launcher and blue +6. If you increase contrast, lag is slightly there.
it's just been updated and now runs perfect :good:
no lag, need blue
I have to make +20 blue for compensating the yellow tint !
and believe me no lag if you dont play with contrast !
Please Vote if you still in LOVE with Sense 3.5 Skin & Clock Widget than the new Sense 4 design.
Hope too many others have the same taste and missing the 3.5 beauty so that it will be worth it starting this new project...
Please Post your thoughts and points of view....
Awesome. So much better looking than Sense 4(+). Where can I get it?
Would be interesting to try...
Personally, I miss the toggles more than anything.
Is this even feasible without too much antwork?

Will this require root. I found sense 3.0 to run quite fast on the old phones so should be very fast on the one x

I've tried it and it is really nice, but I uninstalled it because it consumed too much battery and ram. The final version when it comes out I will definitely try again
I use it, it works pretty good.
I installed this launcher to try the Chrome OS theme from mycolorscreen, The Launcher is pretty good, but i just cannot leave the fast and fluid stock one.
http://mycolorscreen.com/2013/03/23/os-transfer/
Likes good...has anybody got it to work on Nexus 7?
Edit: never mind I got it working on Nexus 7
Nice launcher, but it needs a bit more development.
This is amazing. Just downloaded it and it runs beautifully and love how it comes pre set up.
Rather confusing launcher, I think I will try it out again and try to get the Chrome theme on it, but honestly wasn't impressed.
This is not just another launcher. A completely new launcher.
Congrats guys, very innovative. More innovative than apple and Samsung all together
Gotcha, now after watching the tutorial video I see the potential this launcher has. Great work!
Just a very very good launcher, I'm impressed !
Buy it's very annoying to have to download a lot of gadgets for it to be perfect.
And some french traduction of the main app and of the widget are awful, that makes the application hard to configure.
battery
it indeed eats too much battery...but i have to admit, it does look good

yea it does eat battery on more ram but wait till they sort that out i think mite be up there with nova apex ect one day
second thought: after a couple of days using this launcher and paying close attention to the battery usage, I have to say that it does not drain as much as i thought. I guess it depends on what homepack you download/use.
This launcher really makes my phone a lot better looking, with very little time and energy. And the customization freedom is huge!
I have now officially uninstalled Go Launcher.

Its alot closer to SSL Launcher but in a clean more user friendly interface. Can't wait for it to be stable now. I put the Chrome theme on it that was shared earlier and its sick! Trying to replicate the Chrome theme on other launchers like Apex and Nova using Multi-Live Wallpaper and its becoming even more tedious. This makes things alot easier when creating a theme for mycolorscreen.
Corrupt colors and textures.. I was seeing alpha channel instead with some textures.
Beautiful and innovative home screen, high battery+ram usage, boring app drawner
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
This is a fantastic tool for customization, a congratulations to the app developers on this one. Let's hope it catches on and we get an influx of themes.
