Hi guys, I'm currently using an AOSP theme in my Galaxy and it contains the stock music player. I love it, but it doesn't have the option to send songs via bluetooth (I can only do that with Astro)... is it possible to have that option?
On the list, you can share music. Then choose bluetooth to send!

Hello everybody, I have been looking for weeks for a decent music widget which works with the Galaxy S stock mp3 player. I liked the beautiful widget one but it does not work with the samsung player, and I do not want to install another player (like 3) cause i really love the galaxy S stock one.. any advice?? Thanks a lot in advance
Nah, I haven't found one. I'm using Music Mod (for Eclair) as my primary music widget - it's the best I've found.

Having an issue I was hoping someone may be able to help with. I’m trying to use the stock music app as the default player over Bluetooth with a car stereo. As of now when I start Bluetooth with the car stereo it will default to Google Music and not the default stock Music Player. This would not be an issue but the default player will display the Track information on the stereo interface ware Google Music lists them as unknown.
Use titanium back up to freeze google music

Sorry, should have mentioned that I am looking for a solution that does not require Root, if one exists. The phone actually belongs to a friend who I am trying to help out.
have you tried opening a music file from the folder that contains it and selecting the default player for that file type?

Just tried and unfortunately did not work. It would not be of any concern if Google Music would show the track information.

Thanks but also a no go, I think my friend has decided to Root the Phone.
I get an email from the office over with any voicemail in an attached gsm file. When I download the file, it opens up Mort Player - an audio book player which I use - which doesn't work at all since it messes up my place in the audio books.
I want it to use any other gsm player.
Where do I change the default player?

You have to clear defaults on your audio book player. If there isnt any other app that can "play" the format of your file it will still use your audio book player.

Hello everyone,
I am surprised why noone posted this before.
The option to "share" is missing in the music player since android 4.3 onwards.
It is a huge tussle to find the song in the phone first using a 3rd party file manager and then send it via Wi-Fi Direct or Bluetooth, especially when you have more than 1000 songs.
It was much easier to send it directly from the music player itself.
Is there any way to enable the share option again in the music player?
Regards.
No replies? Does noone miss this option??
Hi,
I have the idea to use my good old Galaxy S as MP3 Player only. Is there some kind of minimalistic custom ROM that boots as quick as possible? no need for any Mobile connections and stuff, just need a MP3 Player.
Thanks!
