minimalisic ROM only for MP3 Player? - Galaxy S I9000 Android Development

Hi,
I have the idea to use my good old Galaxy S as MP3 Player only. Is there some kind of minimalistic custom ROM that boots as quick as possible? no need for any Mobile connections and stuff, just need a MP3 Player.
Thanks!

Samsung Galaxy S Media Player

According to a review, the galaxy s media player has the native capabillity to play .flv files (flash files). Has anyone heard of this player being ported or the Apk being extracted from a moment or the like? I cant find any confirmation that the player in the moment would share this capabillity, but not having to convert everydamn file down from flv into mkv etc to use on the phone would be amazing!

s media player or hard coded in?
would it be as simple as the media player? i thought all the codecs were built into the system some how? anyone??
rock player does not do flv, i tried before
That's the problem, evo doesn't have those codecs built it. Galaxy does.

[Q] A music widget for the stock MP3 player?

Hello everybody, I have been looking for weeks for a decent music widget which works with the Galaxy S stock mp3 player. I liked the beautiful widget one but it does not work with the samsung player, and I do not want to install another player (like 3) cause i really love the galaxy S stock one.. any advice?? Thanks a lot in advance
Nah, I haven't found one. I'm using Music Mod (for Eclair) as my primary music widget - it's the best I've found.

this is a latest update that will working now for galaxy s music stock player
give us a link for the pure music widget
How about "Media widget" it's free.
what about using stock android music player ? comes with a widget
as always dont install just copy it to system/app folder
bad thing is it doesn't support the music player within the notification bar
i've testet it on jpc and worked great
Use Cubed, for a new experience!

[Q] Music Player recommendation

hi, i'm looking for a music player for my desire hd running on rcmix. becuase the stock music player keeps on detecting my ringtones as music. i want a music player that i can set the file size limit that would be detected as music, just like the miui music player. can anyone of you recommend ? sorry for bad english
Take a look at PowerAmp on the Android market - there's a free trial version, but it's well worth paying for the unlocker. Don't think it lets you filter ringtones the way you describe, by setting a filesize limit, but you can tell it to ignore specific folders when updating its library.
+1 for Power Amp. Great app.

Yep I use Poweramp. Not sure about the file size though.
thanks for the reply guys, i will buy the app =)

hmm...
There is a music player from the MIUI Rom - now available for all devices...
It might do what you want to...
download it from here
Music Player
MIUI Player is really nice but it craps the albumarts etc. in PlayerPro you can quickly let do and search up the albumarts and you can select the right one yourself and ofcourse also letting him do it automaticaly. PlayerPro also has many skins you can download , The new stock player from ICS is also and really good one. So my recommadations are:
1. PlayerPro
2 MIUI Player
3. ICS Stock Music Player
Definitely you should get poweramp or playerpro with the dsppack, they're both awesome anyway

[Q] how to set default gsm player?

I get an email from the office over with any voicemail in an attached gsm file. When I download the file, it opens up Mort Player - an audio book player which I use - which doesn't work at all since it messes up my place in the audio books.
I want it to use any other gsm player.
Where do I change the default player?

You have to clear defaults on your audio book player. If there isnt any other app that can "play" the format of your file it will still use your audio book player.

[Q] Music player

Greetings,
I have an HTC DHD which I'd like to turn into a music player dedicated to playing music (and may be video) from my NAS wirelessly.
Which rom would you suggest and why?
Which apps and why?
I was thinking of a CM (10.1) with winamp.
Thanks
James
I post back on my choice and outcome.
