[Q] how to set default gsm player? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I get an email from the office over with any voicemail in an attached gsm file. When I download the file, it opens up Mort Player - an audio book player which I use - which doesn't work at all since it messes up my place in the audio books.
I want it to use any other gsm player.
Where do I change the default player?

You have to clear defaults on your audio book player. If there isnt any other app that can "play" the format of your file it will still use your audio book player.

Samsung Galaxy S Media Player

According to a review, the galaxy s media player has the native capabillity to play .flv files (flash files). Has anyone heard of this player being ported or the Apk being extracted from a moment or the like? I cant find any confirmation that the player in the moment would share this capabillity, but not having to convert everydamn file down from flv into mkv etc to use on the phone would be amazing!

That's the problem, evo doesn't have those codecs built it. Galaxy does.

music

a better music player. anyone have one. I had big hopes for winamp but they failed to port it correctly.
I need a music player that list songs by file name, not artist or song. One that has more controls like a Stop and some EQ bands.
Any one know of such a andriod apk?
I tried mortplayer did not like it at all.
PowerAMP meets your demands.
thanks i will try poweramp.
Yes I tried poweramp. the trial version15day looking for free alternative. So yes this is what mostly what I was looking for but it has some quirks.
What I want which I found when I searched for power amp is app called "music player folder".
What I like about it is that its very simple and it list music by file name and I can change font size. What it doesn't do is randomize.
I might have to go on and pay for the Poweramp app.
thanks for suggestion again
near perfect player
New update . Found near perfect player. Tinyplayer downloaded from googlemarket. It has font sizer a randomizer and it plays and list music by file name. All its missing is a eq band. 3 band eq would make it perfect.

Bluetooth / Google Music Default Player.

Having an issue I was hoping someone may be able to help with. I’m trying to use the stock music app as the default player over Bluetooth with a car stereo. As of now when I start Bluetooth with the car stereo it will default to Google Music and not the default stock Music Player. This would not be an issue but the default player will display the Track information on the stereo interface ware Google Music lists them as unknown.
Use titanium back up to freeze google music

Sorry, should have mentioned that I am looking for a solution that does not require Root, if one exists. The phone actually belongs to a friend who I am trying to help out.
have you tried opening a music file from the folder that contains it and selecting the default player for that file type?

Just tried and unfortunately did not work. It would not be of any concern if Google Music would show the track information.

[Q] Issue with music player

So I use tubeX to download and convert youtube videos to mp3 on my galaxy s 4g for my music needs. However, When I use same app on S2, it won't play those files. Google music player and touchwiz music app plays those files fine in galaxy 4g but not in S2. I don't know why. As a result I am forced to use galaxy 4g when I have a brand new galaxy S2.
Any suggestions how to fix it?
Idk how tp fix this, but wouldnt it be easier if you just downloaded a torrent app from the market, like free mp3 music downloader, instead of making mp3s from YouTube videos?

Well Yes and No. I can speak 4 languages and Its usually easy to find english music online (I have mp3 downloader app for that) But its hard to find music in the other 3 languages. Its easy to just download youtube videos and change the extension to mp3 and in my any other android phone it works fine but not in Galaxy S2. Even though I use same apps and same android version on both phones. Weird!
Try tubemate, i have used that on my S2 and when downloading video select mp3 option.

[Q] Anyone use N7 Player?

Hi,
Does anyone use N7 Player as a default music player?
If so, I was wondering if anyone knows how to display music that do not yet have an album tag filled in for the mp3 file..
I do not want to, and I do not plan on using any album tag downloading apps. (And also, these apps probably won't even help me because 99% of my songs are not English songs)
I am going through this exercise manually to ensure all my music files have 100% accurate album names, but until then, I still want to be able to see all my music in N7 Player... Any pro tips?
Also, another thing I want to ask is, whenever I add an album art to an mp3 file, I cannot seem to have the music player (ANY music player, not just N7) to show the updated album art... The only way I know how to refresh the album art is to reboot my phone, insert my music files, and then reboot again. (Even then, sometimes this doesn't work..)
Any help is greatly appreciated!
