The first Picture is mwong who is the owner of DFT forum. The second picture is the content for releasing HSPL/RSPL.
The story is very long for us. In a short words, DFT forum encountered attacked these days because of releasing Mango beta on HD2 but DFT didn't allow reproduce. The reason is the NOT ALLOWED, it may offend some other forums. XDA.CN is one of the forums. In order to let every one in a peace. They had a negotiation but it breakdown. In the notice for breakdown of negotiations mwong announced they will release HSPL/RSPL.

第二點xda.cn是有同意.
原先xda.cn的意思是跟小紫先談,如果有結果小紫再跟風暴談,因為和xda.cn談沒結果,再跟風暴談就沒什麼意義了,因此談判破裂.由於小紫談后效果不太好,雖然沒辦法但她也盡力了因此以后關與此事小紫也不想再參與了.在此感謝小紫為DFT盡心盡力功不可沒.
另外xda.cn說明xda.china創辦於于2009年xda.cn創辦于2010年,所以幾年前(早在幾年前IVGA與Xbeta跟Xda.cn吵架時就有攻擊的事件發生)跟他们無關.不過我記得xda.china是創辦于2008年而不是2009年,如我說錯關於ivga與Xbeta的話在此跟xda.cn道歉.但又為何其他論壇攻擊之事沒反駁也沒說明呢? 看官自行判斷自行了解,老爺子就不在多說了.

no, in fact xda.cn has no any original resource about HD2 wp7 or hspl/rspl for wp7 phones. dft forum just don't want xda.cn use the resource from dft to sold devices to get money. The news from xda.cn about android OS on HD7 is just a lie.

Finally some official info out today. It'll be released in the US on October 22nd. Going for $179 with a 2 year contract. And I think $199 for a 1 year contract possibly...
Its the 1st time I've seen HTC sell a major phone exclusivly to the US. I only hope us in the rest of the world will get a release or a chance to get it out of network.

Hmmm ... that's going to make my next phone purchase a tough one. AT&T's Rapheal, or T-Mobile's Dream. Windows or Android. Doh.
Tsss, its gotta be Android of course. I like Winmo too so far, since its really been the only proper OS over symbian and others for modibility and such. But opensource Android (linux) has clearly waaaaaay more flexibility and will be my 1st choice.

Can some-one rip the Amazon MP3 app, reverse engineer the api and bring it to Windows Mobile? How hard can it be? The underlying OS is open source, so the api calls can be easily identified, and it only downloads songs, so it cant be too complicated.

Raphael. Mainly because Android will most certainly be recompiled to run on it, but probably not vice versa. They both run on the MSM7201A even.

I think the UI would look more at home on a sidekick given what's actually underneath. MS isn't in the smartphone business anymore.

4 months since the last answer on this thread... It's time to "up" this thread once again !
First of all : don't use the zip file provided in the post #2, because it's really really too old now.
Go to www.mobbyway.com to download the latest version (v21 for the moment !)
Many things have changed with this brilliant software...
About 4 to 5 new versions release, a growing and growing amount of users (especially since the beginning of september) and an android version release . And a really reactive forum and team.
Iphone version should be available in November and the amount of informatics dummies that are using "this high technology phone" (hum hum) will, I hope, really increase again the number of users.
I use this software for 3 months and the number of user has amazingly increased !
Nevermore alone on the road ;-)
As said previously, it's a software written in France but also used in Belgium, Netherlands.
If the law allow it (for instance in Germany this kind of software is not allowed), I think you can use it all over the world (it's just GPS coordinates that are transmitted, and I think they will not be stopped at the border ;-)
You should give it a try, because it's really impressive (and free).
Remember that this kind of software is "cooperative" so, even if there are not many users in the beginning, continue to use it and this will reinforce the community.
That's what we call in French a "snow ball effect" (if this snow ball downs a slope)

This seems more like speculation with a bit of truth. Don't really care though I'm on Tmobile, because I know it will come soon.
I plan on upgrading , but I won't do it until I see a device with a 32GB option. If not then I'll just get the Zune HD2 64GB (If it is real) with a Android Device.
T-Mobile is definitely not the only carrier for WP7.

It very well may be that AT&T will be exclusive for a bit with T-Mo getting devices later. Maybe AT&T is getting them the same date as Europe (October 21st) and T-Mo is launching November 8th?

Depends on your definition of "launch". In this case, they're showing off the devices and announcing retail availability, etc. Everything about the v1 release should be fully open... no more of this "we can't tell you that" (except in regards to future updates).

I am giving a warning first, please!
While we are waiting for the arrival of Windows Phone Mango, A confirmation comes from Microsoft of the next update for Windows Phone 7 and objectives that will guide the development of Windows Phone.
The news is based on what was said by the speakers at the Microsoft MSDN seminar held in Hong Kong.
According to reports that I heard, it would seem that Tango will not be a major update, but a simple optimization of the mobile medium / low.Tango should also bring substantial improvements in Bing services.
The next major update will then be Apollo, but there is no news yet about it, but certainly the news will be similar to Mango.

Look man, I always like reading your posts. You're very calm and collected and usually bring great insights.
I'm a huge wp7 fan. I couldn't love it more. However look at the issues with the NoDo update. I can't seriously believe that anyone thinks Mango will be out before Q2 2012. And it doesn't matter when they push to carriers. What matters is on my device.
I'm also getting frustrated at the lack of funcitionality. I have no money invested in this platform. I don't care if it'll come with Apollo. Why can't I watch AVI's now? Or why will this mobile hotspot be carrier-specific (which means us Canadians won't get it). And why is Bing stripped down for Canada? And Zune?
I use hotmail, xbox, and windows 7 at home. WP7 fits my "ecosystem" perfectly. It's just getting more and more frustrating. And seeing some post about updates makes me roll my eyes. Let's see how Mango gets handled first before we jump ahead to all these other ones.
