Personally, I think its horific. Not to mention, why does everyone want their G1 to look like an iPhone? You're giving iPhone users the upper hand by proving you want your G1 to look like an iPhone. If you want an iPhone, go get one iPhone users should be jelous of you purely because you have a G1 and its features surpass anything Apple puts out

No, I would not waste money on aHome or any one of its themes. That honestly is the ugliest thing I've ever seen on a g1.

what the hell is that? it looks like a people magazine threw up on your phone. for the next theme, are you gonna have octo-mom and icons which show all 14 kids or whatever? geez, ill stick with my ninja theme

No it isnt that is the demo phone that was used in the press event. It only has three hardware buttons at the bottom. The HD2 has 5 buttons.

If this is HD2 > leaked roms soon

I hate to break it to you guys but i very much doubt that they would have gone to all the trouble covering up the HD2 if they were going to release it for the HD2, it is almost definitely a prop

Guys... you don't get it... there are two different phones there, one IS the HD2, the other one is that prototype.
Yes, the HD2 is in that video. But no, at no point is it shown running WP7.

Please provide a picture where the hd2 is shown in this video...

The front is grey, this is not the HTC HD2. And this phone on the picture has corners too round compared to the HD2

Even thou its an HD2 it doesnt mean a ****. So what if Microsoft is using the HD2 for WinPhone 7 commercial? They used the hell out of the Touch Diamond to promote WM 6.5 but we never saw it coming officially.
And porting, how do you guys know its as "easy" as before. Cab files and roms:s?

First Sensible Comment in this thread.

And hypothetically: IF there is a prototype that runs Windows Phone 7 and looks like the HD2, it does not mean that it shares the same internal hardware. HTC might provide a prototype based on the HD2 with different hardware specifications (faster/other CPU, different graphics processor, more internal storage, ...).
However, I think the best explanation is that Microsoft uses the HD2 in a commercial without it running Windows Phone 7.

The guy from Microsoft refused to answer a direct question: "Is the HD2 getting the upgrade?", his answer was "Come to MIX"

From what I see is that LG already has the Software..
and the HD2 looks 1000% times better!!!

The front reminds me of the enV Touch, but it's pretty nice overall. The keyboard is meh, not quite as nice as the TP2's, seems decent.
Nothing amazing design-wise, but we are still questionable with these specs.
What is that screen size though???
Unless my eyes are completely deceiving me, it really doesn't seem that big: 3.2", 3.4" maybe??
I don't recall a physical size minimum, and it is really not necessary.
Yes, the HD2 looks nicer, but it is a different style phone.
Remember we still have hardware choices with WinMo.

Didn't HTC say it was going to get the upgrade?

I love looking at all the new cell phones. I haven't liked LG because the quality hasn't been good in the past. HTC is my favorite and before them, HP.

I don't think I'd ever buy an LG product..it'll have to be HTC or nothing, hopefully I can just upgrade my TP2 (I know, I know, it may be too slow..but we'll see!) I'm surprised this has a keyboard..that is a must have for me and everyone I talk to says they are "out"..guess not!

Some grunt in their Russia tech support dept "announced" that a while back. HTC head office immediately issued a statement saying this was incorrect.

He looks like as LG Monaco but the buttons are new(search,windows flag,back) maybe it is Monaco but created for wp7s?

actually i like the style and especially the keyboatd layout. curious about how the next htc wp7s phone will look like.

I'll be waiting on the Touch Pro3 or whatever they decide to call the next landscape slider.

Its actually interesting you say that, Windows Phone 7 Series may not be possible on the HD2 because of the actual button configuration.

Many people would argue that a mobile OS is only as good as the apps available to it. Accordingly, this "OS bowl" is rediculously flawed. The only way that WP7 winning would make any sense is if the primary criteria for voting was "most untapped potential"

That would totally explain the fact that android and iphone booth with definitively higher market shares got raped. I mean it wasnt even a close game for either. It's all about OS... WP7 is in my opinion the best OS apps aside, in a business user though I could see palm being the best. Android and iphone have all the app backing in the world but this isn't a "Who has the best developer support bowl." It's an OS bowl and the top two teams are there accordingly.

I think the new logo is not bad, but yes the old one was a classic!

I think it's cool...it's metro-themed, and it's angle represents the new Windows 8 transitions when multitasking between different apps.

I'm guilty of this as well, but maybe it's just not wanting change? Something as iconic or recognizable should be kept the same imo. Take Target for instance, a simple unmistakable logo. I understand updating and modernizing, but I don't have to like it, LOL.

if the angle and perspective doesn't look 'off' to you, look at a window. on a wall.
no wait, DONT. just enjoy the new logo and don't ruin it for yourself.

I am not fan of this blue color but read somewhere it can be changed. Apart from it, it goes well with Merto UI and finally its a Window and not a flag
