Im using the CM7 rom, and my phone is rooted with S-OFF. If I push the home button while inside an application if takes me back to the previous desktop, which often is the central one. However if I push the home screen while for example on the right most desktop view, it does not centralize it but take me to the left most desktop. Is there any settings in this rom where I can set what is my "homescreen"?
Regards and thanks,

Ok when I was running dk28 I was able to long press anywhere I wanted to and dragged and hit copy when I was done with whatever it was I was copying. Now that I went to di18 it seem very limited borderline useless long pressing don't work going into menu and hitting select text is pointless because the second I lift my finger it copies before I can finish scrolling down on the screen. I also tried the shift key and dragging method on the slide out keybord that was a waste too. So what gives. Is there an app that will make copy and paste easier in the browser running di18?
I could always go back to dk28 but I just can't stand that whole checkboard effect anymore

I use remote desktop periodically, usually to see a Sent msg on my desktop. Sometime I get stuck. It is especially frustrating because I do not have a TAB button.
Like today, I clicked on the To: button of the email message and the address book popped up. but it was half off and half on the screen. The close button did not have an Alt+C short cut to close. I could not drag the window. I was stuck. When I get home tonight it will still be on my desktop.
Anybody have any tricks or tips for tabing, dragging windows, increasing or decreasing the size of panes, etc?
my htc screen not work properly
sometimes when i tap to screen it does not tap properly....wat should i do
In the stock browser, I have enabled the Quick Controls and Full Screen options. The results are brilliant.
However, it is a bit of a chore to get to my Bookmarks. Anyone have any shortcuts?
I usually press the quick control for the tabs a little longer than normal before letting go which shows all the tabs. The bookmark button appears on the top right. Don't know if there's a faster way.
If you press and hold the "back" screen button, for a couple of seconds -- the bookmarks / history / saved pages will be there.
Hi, first thing, this is my first Android phone and I understand I should press the back button to close out of apps rather than press the home button. So this means if I have been surfing for a while, I have to press back, say 20 times, going backward through all the pages I've visited, until I reach the first page opened and the browser will close.
I know I can press home to close, then press the right menu button to bring up the recent apps and swipe the browser away, but isn't there a better way to close out of programs? I thought maybe holding the 'back' button would force close it but it just brings up the browsing history.
2nd: I'm finding that some programs do not go into certain 'folders' while it goes into other folders, what is causing this?
Thanks.
On cm10 or any custom rom actually has the option in developers options to "long press back to kill app" if you don't have that option the only way is it press the home button hit the recent apps button not the menu button and swipe it away. How is that hard? Its much harder to do the same task on iOS.
Also I'm not too sure what you mean by the folder deal can you take a screenshot and upload it here. ( hold power + volume down.)

The browser is a unique case where you don't have to back out. The best way is just close the current tab, or all tabs you have open, to close the browser. You don't go 20 pages back for browser closing. But for all apps yes back button is the best way to close apps when you're done.
Lol wow... I do that all the time and completely forgot thanks.

So, I really want to use Go Launcher, but have one issue. I want when I press the home button that it takes me to my middle home page. For example, let say I'm on screen four, I then go to an app, I then want to go to my HOME(main screen), when I press the home button, it takes me to the last screen I was on. I set the home screen up in the menu. Any advice? Thanks!
Try double tapping the home key

Under Go Launcher's preferences, the Gesture section, there's a setting for Home key action... set this to Function and then select "Show home screen, then overview" (or just "Show home screen", but I prefer the first myself). Then it will work ROUGHLY as you expect: a single tap of the home key while in an app or app tray will still bring you to the last home screen you were on, but tapping it again will bring you to your middle screen (and a third tap, if you selected the option I like, will show you the overview of all your home screens). FYI, I think you also need to disable S Voice's shortcut on the home key for this to work as well (it's in the settings inside S Voice as I recall).
