Proper email app? - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

hi,
I am trying to hunt down proper email app. Stock samsung app is ok, but there two things:
1. When messages are shown like conversations, it messes up a lot of them into one if there are emails without subject
2. I can't see message status, i.e. if i replied to it already or not. Nor it does show my replied email if there is a reply sent.
I tried enhanced email, k9, can't seem to find those features. K9 is nice, but also no replies and no conversation view
Any more suggestions?

[Q] Is there a way to delete multiple emails at once?

Currently using the stock email program with my Samsung Epic Touch, which doesn't seem to have an option to delete multiple emails at one time.
Anyone have a work around so one can delete multiple emails at once? In other-words...a select all messages, so you don't have to select each message one by one.
If not, anyone know of an email client that allows multiple email deletion at one time?
Thank you,
Skid
kaiten email does just that..been using it for several months now..

Thanks to all who replied and i apologize for not explaining this better.
What I want to do is...delete all messages rather than selecting each one, one by one.
In other-words...have an option for -select all messages - and then have the option to delete them all at one time so you don't have to check each message, one by one.
Thank you,
Skid

This is not possible with the stock email app.
This is why most people who want to access pop3 accounts use a 3rd party email app. The stock email app also sucks for IMAP accounts that have any real security on them.
Try one of the free email apps in the market... K-9 is actually pretty good, and is what I use to access my work email.

Thanks wase4711 for the reply again and the link. I will give Kaiten email a try.

What is it about the sense email app?

Hi,
i read many times that people like sense, because of the great email app.
Although i like the look of it, i miss some very important feateres, that the somehow cluttered Gmail-app does give me.
Both the Gmail app and Outlook show me conversations. The sense app doesn´t. If i want to check what i ansered, i have to go to the sent folder and search for it.
If i haven´t answered yet, it´s going to be a long search, whether in Gmail or Outlook i can see right away that i haven´t answered yet.
Second thing is that i get Outlook attachments as winmail.dat. i know it´s an Outlook-Richtext issue, but the Gmail app can deal with it, most of the time.
Somehow i´m not a fan of the Gmail app. I find it cluttter.
So i wonder if i have missed something with the praised sense email app.
I also tried K9, but it doesn´t work with conversations either.
thx, nearly
Threaded view.
Ok, thanks. I got that ticked. And it works on some threads i just saw.
But most of my email conversations, that are threaded in the gmail app aren´t in the sense app.
I guess, there´s not much we can do about this...
thx, nearly
In mail, go into menu then folder and click on in box plus sent. That will show you your sent messages as well.

It does, thank you, but its not in a thread.

Set to always BCC yourself? That worked for me.
A bug I noticed is that the font size when viewing, composing and replying seems quite random. The font size in the settings only control the size in your editor box when composing emails, but not the content sizes when viewing them.
Changing the overall sense font size only affects the email listing interface but not the content view. I'm finding the font a little too big for my taste.
Just notice you must also set to sync your sent items under your account settings, not just the inbox.

Duplicate Sent Mail - GMail

Okay, I noticed something weird last night.
When I send an email from my HOX using HTC mail client IMAPped to GMail, two copies of the sent mail appear in GMail on my laptop.
This was confusing me because in threads it looked like I'd sent two copies of the same email.
I've tested it, and I am not sending two mails, but it looks like I am saving two copies of the emails in my GMail account.
I've had a look on Google to see how to fix this, and there is mention of unticking a 'Save Sent Email' option - but I can't find that on the HOX.
Has anyone also noted this 'feature', and has anyone been able to remove it?
TIA.
Unfortunately the HTC mail app doesn't play nice with Gmail. If you log into your Gmail account through a browser, you will notice three new labels. I think they are [IMAP]Sent, [IMAP]Trash and [IMAP]Drafts. Instead of saving sent messages in the normal sent folder, the HTC app saves them in the [IMAP]Sent folder. Gmail then saves another copy in its own Sent folder. I think the only way around this is to use the Gmail app.

Thanks Pats Fan!
I don't know if you found an answer, but I was able to fix it by going to the desktop Gmail settings, "Labels" tab > then check the "Show in IMAP" for Sent mail, Drafts & Trash. Then removed the unwanted Labels (IMAP/Trash, IMAP/Sent & IMAP/Draft).

[Q] Note II Exchange - Tasks & Unread emails

I'm posting this on behalf of my boss, so please don't shoot the messenger in case the answers are something obvious. I don't own a Note II but I'd appreciate the help.
The boss would like to know two things:
1. How do you handle Exchange tasks using the Note II? He needs to be able to look at outstanding tasks, assign them, etc.
2. He uses Inbox sub-folders extensively. Is there a way or an app which lets you quickly see all unread emails in the Inbox and its subfolders?
Thanks, appreciate it.
The stock email app does let you see all your sub folders and access and move them as needed. As far as the task while I dont do much with this I do a little here and there and the stock email Syncs with all that also

Thanks for the reply.
I understand that you can see the sub-folders but what he's looking to do is to be able to see all unseen messages ONLY in all sub-folders in one view. I think you can understand the issue.. he's got, say, 15 sub-folders with hundreds of messages in total but only, say, 30 messages which have been unread, all scattered among 15 sub-folders. He's looking for a way to see only those 30.
As for the stock email app, I run a Galaxy S III so my guess the email app would be similar. I don't see a way to manage tasks. You sound like you know how to acccss the tasks.. can you give me the steps or tell me in which area of the email app to look? I see no mention of tasks anywhere.
Thanks.

Checking all email accounts in Combined View

I have 7 different email accounts for work and home etc etc...
Its getting really really annoying to have to go into each to check the mail from that account.
Is there anyway check ALL email accounts at once from Combined View?
Seems like a hell of a thing to overlook.
Just noticed i put this in the wrong forum, my fault...Mods please move to correct forum.
Thank you and my apologies .

Been using k9 for a few days now. Like it. Its good. Kind of a shame that the stock email doesn't do it and we have to download another program for a simple thing like that. The program is a little choppy getting through all my mail, but I have tons of mail I haven't gone through yet.
Hopefully Google will change their mail app to include this feature at a later date.

Cool thing about k9 is that is actually built on top of the code for the stock email app. Improved if you will.

Just like how windows comes with WordPad for word processing but if you need anything more you buy office.
Stock email app works for most people. I have gmail and corp email and I like to keep them separated. My blackberry would combine emails and phone calls and messages and I hated it. I like keeping everything separate.
