Currently using the stock email program with my Samsung Epic Touch, which doesn't seem to have an option to delete multiple emails at one time.
Anyone have a work around so one can delete multiple emails at once? In other-words...a select all messages, so you don't have to select each message one by one.
If not, anyone know of an email client that allows multiple email deletion at one time?
Thank you,
Skid
kaiten email does just that..been using it for several months now..

Thanks to all who replied and i apologize for not explaining this better.
What I want to do is...delete all messages rather than selecting each one, one by one.
In other-words...have an option for -select all messages - and then have the option to delete them all at one time so you don't have to check each message, one by one.
Thank you,
Skid

This is not possible with the stock email app.
This is why most people who want to access pop3 accounts use a 3rd party email app. The stock email app also sucks for IMAP accounts that have any real security on them.
Try one of the free email apps in the market... K-9 is actually pretty good, and is what I use to access my work email.

Thanks wase4711 for the reply again and the link. I will give Kaiten email a try.

hi,
I am trying to hunt down proper email app. Stock samsung app is ok, but there two things:
1. When messages are shown like conversations, it messes up a lot of them into one if there are emails without subject
2. I can't see message status, i.e. if i replied to it already or not. Nor it does show my replied email if there is a reply sent.
I tried enhanced email, k9, can't seem to find those features. K9 is nice, but also no replies and no conversation view
Any more suggestions?

Or is it just me? Every email I open that has pictures or graphics I have to scroll to the bottom and click on "Load More Details".
I really like the email in the Nexus Roms or the CMxx Roms - they ask at the TOP if you want to show pictures and then if you want them to be shown all the time. That is what I would like to have. Any idea where/how one could accomplish this?
I have tried virtually all of the email clients in the Play Store and really do not care for them fro one reason or another. I even have $16-17 invested in a few of them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ted
I purposely use Gmail for everything. Just goes hand in hand with android. I actually freeze email and exchange apk.
Have you tried enhanced email from market?

If you use Gmail, you can just press "show pictures" at the top if it doesn't show them by default. It will remember your preference for that person.
Gmail also has a better theme and is generally better than than most, if not all, email clients.
If you don't use a google account for email, I believe you can set google up so it receives email from a certain address and you can send outgoing email from that address.
My biggest complaint is that Samsung put all of the controls (reply, forward, etc) at the top of the screen which makes one hand operation a challenge. I have big hands and still have trouble reaching the controls. I replaced Samsung email/exchange with the stock ICS versions on my E4GT for the same reason. I might do the same on this one as soon as I flash a custom ROM.

It's sad that it's as bad as it is, since the stock app for the SGS2 was so nice.
also, it doesn't play well with Office 365
That's the issue I'm having with the stock app too. Loading details for pics and graphics is crazy. Their should a option to autoload or the link to load should be at the top of the email
On all of my android phones I was never a fan of the stock email app when getting my work email. I then found out of about Touchdown. Its a great app to get exchange emails on.
I do like using the gmail app though.

What are you settings? I have mine set to show images and it still doesn't. Can you screen cap your settings?
I really prefer the gmail app. You can forward most other email address to your google account. I know I did that with my work email so I could get them on my phone while I was in the field.

Forward with files checked, show images checked, auto download attach on wifi checked, size to recieve all, (thats an exchange account my gmail account is set to 100 kb) those are the only important settings if your using a pop3 account that might be why your having an issue. Even my gmail is set to imap.
i use the inverted gmail app

In the browser mode of gmail you have to change the settings of gmail to imap. Its set to pop3 by default.
I have never ever had a problem with Gmail.

Gmail is really good especially since its push email to our phones but it lacks the ability to embed images which i have to use the stock email app for work account anyways and id rather be able to embed images than have push. Thats just my preference.
My main email is a domain name I own. It's not Gmail or Hotmail or anything similar. I am looking for an inexpensive mail app that will instantly push new mail to my device. I've seen there is K9 and another one called mail DROID but just wondering if there is something cheaper?
I default email app doesn't instantly push right.? Only every five minutes which I assume drains the battery

I've been using the paid version of InoMail and like it a lot. It pushes pretty well.

K-9 and MailDroid (not the pro version) are free. How much cheaper do you want?
I'm partial to K-9 as I've been using it w/o complaints for a few years. It does push just fine. The UI is dated, but the next upgrade is supposed to improve that.
Oh sweet. I thought they were only free for 30 days. I thought I read that. I'll give them a try.
Emoze is my choise

I use Emoze Push client in my Android device which gives the ability to push any type of email ,obviously Exchange ,IMAP,Gmail Hotmail but even POP3 which is very limited email protocol.
I've done benchmarks with the stock ICS email client and with several third party clients and I find that Emoze has the advantage in almost every aspect.
Push notification is stable and fast ,less than 60 sec.
Battery consumption is low ,I’m able to work in push mode without charging for at least 22 hours.
I’m quite a heavy email user so it was kind of a surprise to me because I used to have 6-8 hours max with only one account working in push.
I have 5 email accounts which is about 100-200 email per day so no kidding ,this one really improved my life ,I’m less paranoid about my battery.
Other features which are quite useful are the security options that allows you to find the device location by SMS or email
and also to remote wipe or block by SMS.
This is cool because you don’t need PC connected to the internet to get the job done ,you can simply send SMS to your phone number to activate the security process.

Not exactly an answer to your question, but I got sick of maintaining my Qmail server a few years back and gave GAFYD (Google Apps For Your Domain) a whirl. Best decision I ever made, letting Google handle my email. Plus, the price was right: Free. Now I can use any Gmail app I want to get my custom domain emails.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
1. InoMail
2. K9 Mail
3. Mail droid (serious here I had when using multiple accounts; it messed up between accounts n emails attaching totally unrelated mails in replies; so use only for one)

This. I moved to Google for my domain email about 4 or 5 years ago. The trick though is that we are grandfathered in with some extra features that new accounts don't get. I think we get more users.

Inomail are you kidding the app doesnt actually look for email you have to manually sych in order to egt you email and it lookss so much like ios with all it's huge useless buttons and scroll wheels it makes me ill.
As for k-9 ...after how badly the messed up kaiten (crashes when you reply and is butt ugly) I would avoid anything from these guys.

No you just need to set Push or the polling frequency in settings.
I'm posting this on behalf of my boss, so please don't shoot the messenger in case the answers are something obvious. I don't own a Note II but I'd appreciate the help.
The boss would like to know two things:
1. How do you handle Exchange tasks using the Note II? He needs to be able to look at outstanding tasks, assign them, etc.
2. He uses Inbox sub-folders extensively. Is there a way or an app which lets you quickly see all unread emails in the Inbox and its subfolders?
Thanks, appreciate it.
The stock email app does let you see all your sub folders and access and move them as needed. As far as the task while I dont do much with this I do a little here and there and the stock email Syncs with all that also

Thanks for the reply.
I understand that you can see the sub-folders but what he's looking to do is to be able to see all unseen messages ONLY in all sub-folders in one view. I think you can understand the issue.. he's got, say, 15 sub-folders with hundreds of messages in total but only, say, 30 messages which have been unread, all scattered among 15 sub-folders. He's looking for a way to see only those 30.
As for the stock email app, I run a Galaxy S III so my guess the email app would be similar. I don't see a way to manage tasks. You sound like you know how to acccss the tasks.. can you give me the steps or tell me in which area of the email app to look? I see no mention of tasks anywhere.
Thanks.
Hey everyone. Maybe I am missing a setting here, maybe not.
On my older Android devices one feature Ive enjoyed was the ability that when deleting an email in the stock mail app, I could choose to go to the next or previous email and not always back to the email list. Is there no way to do this on this device?

In the GMail app under General Settings, there is a "Auto-advance" option. Selections are Advance to "Newer", "Older", or "Conversation List" I think if you select "Newer" it will go to the next newer email. I haven't tested yet.
Im talking about the regular mail app, not gmail. I use it to connect to exchange accounts for work.
