usb port audio question - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I know the "headphone jack" on my phone isn't functional and that I have to get a usb adapter. My questions is if I connect the
audio to my car stereo through aux input (already used with an older ipod) plugged into this adapter and I'm playing music what
happens if a call comes in? Do I have to unplug the cable and then accept the call.
A 2nd question I have is that when I receive a call it only rings once, is there a setting so it will continue ringing?
Thanks
Chris
PS bought another TP2 for my mother, just waiting for FRX07 to be released.
Thanks for the great upgrade fron WinMo!

Well I believe you could leave it plugged in, but I'm not certain the mic would work correctly... The speakerphone audio should play thru your car speakers tho. I'll have to try that.
As for the ringing, that's odd - have you tried different ringtones? I certainly have issues answering calls at times, but when it does ring it rings until the call goes to voicemail.
Also, not sure this is ready yet for your mom . My mom has a TP2, and I would not install it on her phone yet! I would like to think one day it will be usable enough for all to enjoy.

Problem using the Audio Adapter with a headset

I wonder if others are having this problem. I like to use my set of headphones with a mic using the audio adapter. When I plug it in it works fine. Now, when I unplug it and try to use the phone as normal I can't hear the person on the other line but they can hear me. When I plug the audio adapter with the headset I can hear them but they can't hear me unless i speak to the phone's microphone. It seems that plugging in the headset with the audio adapter "crosses some wires" between the headset and microphone. Using the Speaker and speakerphone works as normal. The only to resolve this so far for me has been to reflash the phone.
I have a T-Mobile Touch Pro 2 with the latest Energy Leo Rom. Anybody else having the same problem?

the adaptor does not work with headsets with microphones, it is only for listening (I am guessing). if I did not know any better, It is a hardware thingy (adaptor is not supported) not a software
UPDATE:
Stereo Headset Adapter - HTC extUSB
Use this adapter to convert the HTC extUSB socket to support any 3.5mm stereo headphones.
Note: The adapter supports audio only and does not have a hangup / answer function.

Same, But Different...Bluetooth
I have had the unfortunate necessity to hard reset several times recently. This has been due to a similar problem as you are describing, however I was using an A2DP bluetooth headset. I listen to audio books while working, and it works great. Previously, I have always had it switch over to handsfree for phone conversations when a phone call comes in, then it switches back to stereo for listening. I have recently had it completely disable any audio, both incoming and outgoing during calls. It will switch back to the stereo function, and I can listen to my audio, but it will not work for phone functions. I have tried everything (reset bluetooth, unpair/repair, uninstall audiopara, softreset, disable/enable phone, etc.) to restore the functionality, with no luck. Hard reset seems to be the only solution so far.
I don't know if this is related to your problem, but I will be troubleshooting and will let you know what I discover (if anything).
The headset works when you first plug it in. Works perfect actually. It's when you unplug it things get crossed and nothing works right again except the speakerphone.
Have you noticed any difference in effect by differentiating the way you unplug the headset, ie, unplug headphones from adapter, then unplug adapter; unplug adapter with headphones plugged into adapter?
Just a suggestion, but I don't know if it will make a difference.

WP7 HD2 Headphone Jack issues?

With headphones attached I am unable to receive calls. Caller will get a fast busy, I am also unable to make calls. Sux as I have phone in car listen to slacker then unable to listen to call via stereo or even receive the call.

I don't have this problem.
Radio problem maybe?
Well my problem is that i can hear music when plugged into my car radio, i can hear the person calling me but he/she can't hear me, it is like when you plug in the headphones/earpiece (or jack to jack cable) the microphone gets cut off.
I have a doubt on the latest radio I flashed. Maybe I should get back to an older radio to see if the problem is fixed.
Will update as soon as I can

i was NOW about to make a thread stating this EXACT same issue...whenever i try making a call with my headphones plugged in, i get a network error. and if someone tries callin me while my headphones r plugged in, it goes straight to voicemail but it works fine thru bluetooth and a side issue(not sure if this is posted already) the multitouch only works horizontally and while the phone is in portrait view can anyone help?
I'm seeing the same issue. With headphones plugged in I cannot make or receive phone calls. Outbound is network error, inbound fails as well.
I have tried with regular headphones (stereo... three connector) and with headphones w/Mic (4 connectors).
Are you guys all HD2 users?
if so, have you tried a different ROM?
If this is an HD2 specific issue then it would probably get a better response in the HD2 section..........

Bluetooth Audio Difficulty

Hey so I've tried searching other threads for my specific challenge and none of them seem to really touch on this so here goes.
I have a Samsung Fascinate, I'm rooted and I've flashed a bunch of kernels and ROMs no problem and as far as I can tell my Bluetooth works fine and audio works fine.
My issue is this: My car supports hands free calling via bluetooth and i've paired them with no issues and have made/received calls no problem. I've also used my phone to play music through the AUX cable no problem. I know that my car STEREO does not support Bluetooth and here is where i run into a problem.
I have my phone plugged in on my way to work singin along to my favorite tune when a call comes through. But (I think) when the AUX is plugged in, it interferes with the audio when connected to the bluetooth. Basically i can hear a call coming through on my car stereo and i can push the buttons on my steering wheel for functions on the phone but i can't hear and the other end can't hear me. So i have to end up unplugging the AUX cable out then the audio returns.
First off... is it just me? did I do something wrong along my journey of flashing all sorts of stuff? cuz i could've sworn at one point (i think before i went voodoo) it was all working fine together, but i could be wrong.
So if it's not something I did, is there a headset adapter out there with controls and possibly some kinda screen for like caller id or at least current track? like something that can connect to regular earphones that has an inline mic and controls.
Unless you fine folks have a better idea I would love to hear them. (I don't have a budget for this... just want to get it working... unless it's cheaper to buy a new car that can support it all)
Thanks
I think this is a fascinate specific or limited problem

Bluetooth and headphone jack

I have an Acura, and every bluetooth phone I have had in the past I could pair with the car, and plug in an Aux line to the headphone jack to listen to music, then if a call came in, it would come through my spearkers.
Now with the EP4g, it comes through the speakers, but no one can hear me, and I can't hear them until I unplug the aux line.
Anyone else have a problem?
i had a conference call on my phone in the car via my AUX input today. The parties were heard through the speakers of the car and they were able to hear me, but complained about a really bad echo and that I was VERY hard to hear. These in car conference calls were fine on my EVO with the same setup. I have not tried the in car bluetooth yet as I didn't think I would need it. Will be trying that next.
Just did a test with my Nissan and had to pull out the AUX cable before I could hear the other end on my speakers. The other end said they could hear me the entire time.
Something is going on with the aux cable. I really like the phone, but I don't like trying to figure **** out.

I was under the impression that the mic becomes disabled when the AUX cable is in. Had similar behavior on my old Palm Centro. It went into "headset" mode and the mic turned off. In my thread, someone said that it is working fine. Perhaps there is something else causing it?
Do you use or does the Samsung voice dial app automatically launch when you put your aux cable in? Mine does. The mic does not work for it either. Maybe its the culprit?
***** My issue was fixed by changing the TTY settings *****
Settings>Call Settings>TTY mode>TTY VCO
Its just an aux cable, no mic to it. I plug it in and dont see anything in the status bar and no apps launch.
Right, but when the AUX cable is put in, the Microphone on the epic is disabled, at least that's my working theory. IDK, maybe its just something with mine, but at the moment, no-one can hear me when the aux cable is installed, and i cannot use the voice search applications

I will give that a try, any idea what that mode does? Manual doesn't really help.

VCO stands for Voice carry over. I could be wrong on the exact purpose, but i understand that it is designed to allow those with hearing impediments but capable of speaking to use their own voice while their speaker is hooked up to another device to assist in hearing.
Basically, it keeps the microphone on the device "ON" while the audio is outputted to another device. In our case, the car speakers.
Otherwise, when the device is outputting audio, it is looking for another source of voice input. If you car had a hands-free option built in, it would work just fine without changing the setting as the voice input would be coming from the hands free option.
Just a guess really. Glad its working for me, hope it works for you!
Yes it wierd, My car does have bluetooth built in, but when the aux cable is plugged in it doesn't send sound to the handsfree. Not sure what the issue is.

Can anyone also confirm that this works?
I have an iphone 4s right now, but I really want to go back to android and get a GSII, but that bluetooth problem was a big hassle when I had the Epic 4G. However, with the Epic 4G, someone wrote an app that would allow you to reroute sound through bluetooth with the aux was plugged in. I'm hoping there's a fix out there...

USB-C 3.5mm jack adapter call with Sony WH1000XM3

My USB-C 3.5mm jack adapter that was included with my Razer Phone won't work with my Sony WH1000XM3 in a call.
All other sounds like ringtones, movies, music or Youtube work.
But whenever I call or get a call I get the following results:
The adapter works with a normal (in ear) headset on my Razer Phone.
The adapter works with the Sony WH1000XM3 on a Pixel 3A.
But it won't work with the Sony headset on my Razer Phone.
Anybody knows what could be the problem?
I've tested some more.
If I start a phonecall with another headset plugged into the USB-C converter I have call audio.
If I switch the headset to my Sony WH1000XM3 during the call, than the call audio works.
But if I hang up and start a new call, the call audio will be gone again.
So it seems like the phone doesn't recognize the Sony headset and doesn't switch the call audio to it.
I'm gonna try to find a cable with three rings on it to use with the Sony. Maybe that'll work.
- Edit -
I've tested with some other headphones without a mic and they also don't have call audio. It seems that the phone doesn't recognize the headphones.
The Pixel 3A does recognize all headsets (with and without mic) when connected via the Razer dongle.
- Edit 2 -
I received my mic/headset cables.
I connected my Sony headset with that cable directly to the dongle.
Now the phone recognizes the headset and sends the call audio to the headset. But the mic is still deactivated.
On the Pixel 3A the mic of the phone keeps working, even though I have the dongle with the headset connected.
I haven't tried a full reset of the phone yet, because I don't want to spend another weekend reinstalling, setting up and restoring backups.
As a last resort, I will try that.
Sent a mail to Razer last week. No answer yet.
