Is there any way downgrade RUU 2.37 to 1.32?
I was looking for this procedure , but not found...
all procedure does not work ....
Please help.
The only real way i could think this'd work is if you make a golcard as per this guide:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-make-gold-card-for-htc-desire-hd/
and then get an RUU for 1.32.405.6 from somewhere (a WWE one would be best). The goldcard would let you flash it without any sort of authentication, but make sure you use a spare microSD, preferably a low capacity one
Be patient,
The developers are almost at last stages. You will hear good news very soon. Keep an eye on downgrade thread.

Hi All,
I am new to rooting / flashing ROMs.
I bought a HTC Hero from India. Following are the details of my firmware / software
Firmware Version: 1.5
Baseband: 63.18.55.06EU_6.35.06.18
Kernal: 2.6.27.8dd6deee
Build: 2.73.720.5
Software version: 1.0.0.A6288
I would like to try the Android 2.1 ROM on my HTC Hero.
I have been following a procedure which requires a RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.XXX.XX_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver ROM file which will downgrade the HTC Hero for flashing.
I have tried all possible RUU files and the procedure fails with a 131 error, Which probably means that I am using a wrong RUU file.
Can someone please help me locate the right RUU file for downgrading.
OR
Alternately suggest another procedure to flash the 2.1 ROM.
Thanks in advance.

Use the Gold Card method and downgrade, then you can do whatever you want.
follow stickies mate, anything suggested here may be lesser to what has already been suggested. if you get to know something interesting over and above the stickies then let others know about that..cheers
2.73.710.61
Hey all,
I'm stuck on 2.73.710.61. I'm in Oz and have had plenty of experience with WINMOB and my G1. Orignally downgraded my G1 using the gold card method.
My gold card for Hero was created successfully and gets to bootloader than fails the downgrade.
I have not seen any mentions of the 2.73.710.61 firmware or the firmware stated by the original poster...
Are we missing anything or does the gold card have to be kingston??? From memory my G1 goldcard was a kingston...
Also the phone is not locked to any carrier, it is straight out of the box with the genuine HTC only firmware...
Please no flamming with use search idiot because there is no direct link or search for the firmware i am mentiong.
TIA
and
Respect...
I'm new to the modded android ROM scene, but do have a technical background and have had experience in modding PSPs.
I am having great difficulty downgrading my HTC Hero from 2.73.710.61
I am from OZ like the previous poster, have an unlocked genuine Hero bought from Harvey Norman.
I have tried many methods without luck, hitting the worst case scenario for each 'How To' guide, which in turn pointed me to the next guide. Which failed...
If anyone could please give me some help it would be greatly appreciated. My initial problem was that I could not find the 'RUU_Hero_HTC..' ROM to downgrade with, all versions i tried came up with the 'Wrong Client' error.
Thanks in advance!
.....so six hours later and I have made much progress.. HOORAY! I can confirm the Goldcard method DOES work for the HTC Hero 2.73.710.61 and I believe this is the ONLY method that will enable you to proceed with UN-ROOTING, ROOTING, DOWNGRADING etc...
Steps to create the Goldcard that didnt work, eventually ended up working, after much troubleshooting.. long story. Now im on my way to installing EzHero V5.0.1 custom ROM
for all those having problems with flashing, downgrading, gold card...etc...
please , there is Btdag's thread, read it and read again, follow every single step stated in the guide. if you get stuck, start all over again.
Btdag made it so detailed even you have never seen a computer before, i'm sure you can do it. goodluck.

Just use flashrec to save your recovery and then flash Amon-Ra recovery. I had the same phone and flashrec worked straight away.
I have also flashed the India OTA for 2.1 and got back a custom recovery through flashing the 2.73.420.5 ROM using a goldcard - just search and you'll find the threads.
Cheers
You may have seen a few of my posts on here over the past couple of months about the trouble I've had with my Desire freezing up.
Well, maximum repsect to Droidzone. Following his instructions I've managed to get my Desire working again...it's not back to T-Mobile UK stock yet, but rather it is now HTC stock (2.2) - but still sim locked to T-Mobile.
Still got a couple of more things to do to get it back to stock T-Mobile UK (I've only done step 1 and 2 of Droidzone's guide), but going to keep testing it for a while first.
For anyone else on a rooted T-Mobile UK Desire with custom ROM then I would recommend Droidzone's guide....simple and easy to follow (if you have problems, I'm happy to talk you through how I managed it). The only major problem I had was keeping my Desire from freezing long enough to create the goldcard and install the HTC stock ROM. Since I got that far though, I haven't had any problems.
Here's Droidzone's guide....

@Eddy,
Since he has AMOLED, there's a multistep procedure he can try.
1. Prepare the goldcard correctly with a Format in Fat32 (and deleting any extra partitions. Only 1 partition should exist-It should be a Fat32 Primary). If Goldcard is correct, phone should not give CID incorrect error.
2. Download the WWE 2.29 PB99IMG.zip, and put it in the goldcard and run it.
3. Run Teppic74's downgrader with goldcard. At the last step, choose to use this PB99img (Run this RUU while monitoring your Temp folder for changes. When the RUU loads and displays a window, search temp for Rom.zip. Rename it to PB99IMG.zip and put it in the root of the sdcard) instead of the Teppic one.
4. At this point the phone will have a completely working 2.1 Android OS branded to TMO.
5. Check for and update with OTA (You will get TMO OTAs at this point). Now your phone will have the latest TMO ssoftware and be as good as any other!

Good Luck Guys!!!
Golly, I missed this post!
Glad you got it fixed
Hi guys,
After much searching on this site I'm still none the wiser as to how to actually debrand my DHD to stock HTC firmware. I found a guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10113881&postcount=11
But steps 1 and 2 both link to the same URL - does step 2 not actually need doing?
Then I found this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=917513
But then lots of people criticised it for missing bits out like S-OFF and using 1.72 firmware as opposed to 1.32.
I'm lost now over what all the H-BOOT/ S-OFF/ Radio S-OFF stuff means and where I can actually obtain a 1.32 RUU from. Visionary seemed to be the only bit that was simple and well documented.
Ultimately I'm not interested in rooting long term, nor applying custom ROM's/ radios etc afterwards - all I want to do is get my DHD as HTC would have it, minus all the Vodafone nonsense and so I can get updates from HTC as opposed to waiting 10 years for Vodafone to butcher them first. Luckily it at least currently accepts any carriers SIM....
Can anyone help un-muddy the waters for me?
Thanks in advance.
Chris.
I've been following the downgrade guide posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905261
as well as the goldcard link posted within that thread. I have my goldcard working, and I have been able to gain temp root access. When I reboot and try to load the rom, it checks the rom zip file then brings me back to the white screen.
Is there anything I'm doing/not doing that could be affecting this? will provide as much information as I possibly can.
Running on the Bell network, updated to 1.84 before even considering rooting my phone and modding it in general. Really regretting it now :\
Did anyone have found a working way to downgrade from bell mobility 1.84 to 1.72 ou better 1.34..
i have 4 desire z 3 of them were on 1.72 and i had no problem to downgrade them to 1.34 and root phones,, but the fourth handset was upgrade to 1.84 and i can't find a way to downgrade it.
so if someone has done it succesfully(please don't answer me ''read this faq and read that faq, read the wiki'' i read all of them and still no succes) i looking for a working solution base on personnel expérience witch résult in succesfull method..
thanks
I know it's a frequent asked question, but i was reading a lot threads and still don't know what is the best way to root and s off your device. and i dont know if i need eng s-off to flash roms or only radio s-off and what radio does AAHK flash on my phone. If someone has the time to help me i would be really thankfull.
I think that the best and easiest way to root and S-OFF DHD is the method described by jkoljo.
1. First of all if You have ROM higher than 1.32.405.6 WWE, you need a downgrade http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003 guide by jkoljo.
2. You need your Desire HD S-OFF. jkoljo created a tool to do that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855403
3. Third and the last step is Desire HD Radio S-OFF. And another great tool by jkoljo is One click Radio S-OFF tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857537
That's it! Don't be afraid if something goes wrong, You can repeat every step with no risk of brick your device.
But flashing a radio is more risky operation.
If you would like to flash another radio use the method described by leith51 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=896597 it's also very easy.
It's hard to say what radio is the best. It depends for example where do You live. Very often Developers recommends the best radio for their ROM.
Thanks for the help!
I'm still thinking about what method to use because some people say that one is better then the other and so on. Even tho i rooted and s-offed my HTC Desire without a problem it scares me a little bit more. Since i bought my DHD 3 days ago and my desire was 7 moths old when i first rooted him. My only concern in bricking my device, everything else can be fixed.
Edit: LorD ClockaN if you see this, your private message quota is full so i can't send you anything
jkoljo's tools are safe, I used them twice because i had to sent my DHD repair under guarantee, just read and will be no problems. Also with flashing radios, i flashed many times, good luck
