Dear all,
following this forum from ages...but today posting my first problem
I have s-offed wildfire with CM 7 working without ne problems...the only problem/bug i noticed is that in gallery v cant view the next picture by just sliding out finger on the picture in either direction...I have to click the left and right arrows which appear on the either side..
can I knw whether this is a problem with the ROM or a bug or ne possible solutions...i want the ability to view next or previous pics by just sliding my finger on the pic in left or right direction...
Thanks in advance..hopin to get reply soon..!!
It is not a bug.
The gallery of cm7 is not similar to stock rom. Same with camera and camcorder. U can't have the stock gallery on your own because it is sense app and moreover froyo to gingerbread . Someone has to port it. I don't know whether it is there or not.

I just watched an engadget video of the sony ericsson play (ps phone) and one thing that popped out was the phone tabs were at the bottom of the screen. That is a very interesting look and I would like to know how it was done. Also, if this could be implemented in a theme or a standalone phone/contact.apk, it would be very cool.
I don't know what xml (if any) would need to be edited to get this look. If someone would be kind enough to figure it out and toss it over, many would enjoy. One for froyo and one for gingerbread would be great.
I'll update this post with an update.zip for all to enjoy and give props to the problem solver...
Thank you in advance!

i think u would do better by posting a link to the video so that people can see what you are talking about. cuz i personally have no clue what u are talking about. are u talking about the tabs within the dialer for like call history and contacts? i think those are the tabs. i have a sense rom so i wouldnt know about stock dialer
Hi,
Im currently running RemPuzzle ROM v0.10.
I faced couple of problems with the new facebook app.
1. The posts containing videos are showing thet they require latest adobe flash player or a HTML5 browser.
2. The posts resolution of the app is strange. The header bar is correctly fit to screen but the posts go beyond the screen to out of focus. The previous versions showed perfectly both the issues. Please kindly look into it...
I have attached the screenshots of the problems.
That's probably an issue you should take up with the apps developer not the rom developer.

Hey there XDA!
I have been flashing multiple roms and etc from XDA for the last 2 years, but I never needed to ask any questions. Today, I flashed Virtuous Quattro and my camera isn't working and I can't seem to find any info about this in the ROM-thread and I'm not allowed to post there yet.
The rom looks awesome, everything works, except the camera.. Though it should work, I think I'm not having the right kernel for it, but I can't find which kernel is good for it.
Does anyone now how to fix this? or is this kernel-related? My kernel is: 2.6.35-14-MDJ-AOSP-v5-gef05671 -dirty [email protected] #6
Thanks peeps.
The latest kernel always comes with the build so it's not that. In case you haven't noticed all ICS based ROMs have camera issues. The camera on RC3 works, not great, but it's ok for bow. You should wipe properly and read more

I think it's my camera-user-data conflicting. I'll try.
I had posted a partially working camera on Lords ICS rom and I would post here for ya but I am not near my computer. The camera still has glitches but it doesn't open with a black screen anymore.

I have been flashing multiple roms on my DHD too and I have sold all the different issues till now - after flashing Virtuous Quattro my camera isn't working (opens with a black screen); also, I can't load any of the HD videos (even on awesome Dice player).
May be this will help.

Virtuous Quattro and all ICS ROMs at present have issues with the camera and HD video playback. It's because the devs don't have official ICS camera drivers from HTC to work with, which makes it really difficult.

Thanks to chrsada and sashank
There is a new post in the developments section for a fix of the camera for RC3, check it out

Virtuous Quattro RC3 has a camera bug of the black
screen until first first snap. Here's the fix.
Steps :
1) Get Root explorer, then go to system/app
and make a backup of the old camera (just in case).
2) Replace the old Camera.apk with the attached Camera.apk below.
3) Edit the permissions. Check Read for all and Write only for
Owner.
4) Exit and Reboot.
i refer to the post by kkrazzyyguy
the poor thing that when i used es file explore , i chose category to system application, i saw nothing !
so my question is
can i copy his attachment and paste over? i worry will be getting prb after..
Yes just paste it over, it works fine after that

Just a quick question?
Why isn't the camera working?
OK I know it might sound like a stupid question but what I'm trying to get is what's behind the problem and how far off are the devs?
Missing drivers, incompatible code...what?
i hope there will be some more working camera at RC4
Check out Angel Cam. Its free from the Market and has no artifact or glitches at all. Also, if you only need it for basic recording, videocam illusion (also free in the market) works to replace the camcorder.
I'm also getting the black screen when using the camera, but luckily I have camera zoom fx which works fine. Loving the rom though by the way.
Hi,
So basically, I've installed the ARHD 17 on my HOX, kudos on the ROM BTW. Anyway, the only feature I really miss from the ROM is the "All Photos" tab that used to be in my old ICS stock. Now, I maybe missing something, or maybe the JB update might have actually removed it, bt I do miss that tab and I was wondering is someone could perhaps guide me as to how to get it back?
Cheers!
It's hard to do it by yourself ..it needs a dev
Where was this tab exactly? Gallery app? Camera?
Edit: Check attachment. Is that what you mean? It's called an album.
If I remember right you can configure that from gallery app's menu. (upper right-hand corner)

Hey guys,
Thanks for all your replies. Well I don't know if you would call it a tab... anyway, there is a folder (I think specific to HTC Sense) that grouped all of your photos.
I managed to find it under settings and selecting which folders to view under the gallery
Thanks anyway guys
Hi everyone . since the release of Android 4.2.1 . struggle to zoom the camera , today when i played around with the device i found it .
The technique behind the zoom :
Place two finger at the screen and move one finger over the screen to zoom the camera .
I tried this over AOKP ROM. Hope few would have struggle to zoom it like me . if you know it already well and good . to the unknown guys enjoy it
Hit Thanks and Enjoy
I dont know why google doesn't do a "tutorial" type thing for apps they completely redesign. i have see quite a few people asking how to zoom on the new camera. if google did a quick little video or something when opening the app for the first time, it would alleviate a lot of headaches.
just my opinion though
Hmm but it is quite an intuitive feature that's been implemented all over the user interface. It's a simple pinch-to-zoom gesture!
Simple though
Yup its simple but hidden . Got so many days to find it , thought of sharing , so that other can also gain from it

Dude are you seriously taking about pinch to zoom in the camera app.. and a new thread for that...

Using digital zoom is a terrible idea anyway. Just take the picture at full resolution and crop it later.
Does anyone have the a pk of the first Jelly Bean camera? And does anyone know if it would work instead of the naive JB4.2 app?
