Hi xda-community,
I installed Android on my HTC Touch Pro 2 (ROHD100), but my SIM is blocked.
The most things are working fine, WLAN, Sound, etc..
My mobile phone can't connect to the mobile network!
I tried to connect to T-Mobile Germany:
Settings->Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Network operators ->
but then it shows a long time long "searching" and an turning ring,
After a long time of searching any solutions, I found:
Settings->Location & security -> Set up SIM card lock ->
There I tried to remove the green "check mark", with enter my SIM Pin.
The mark doesn't remove.
What does that do for me? A mobile without the "phoning-function".
Has anyone the same progblems, or any sollutions?

Make sure there's no SIM PIN or SIM locks employed in WinMo.
Other than that, not sure what would prevent your SIM from being successfully detected.
However, reading your post... You're on Eclair? No one supports that anymore, it's ancient.
Give FRX06 a whirl.

Have tried a new SIM card from Vodafone but no change.
Is there any way to update the field with my phone number?
-Dial: ##634#
-Press the "call" button
-On the MFG screen input this password: 277634#*# and press enter. Now the MFG icon is listed on the "programs list".
-Now you can access to many options, tests.....
i.e.

- Switch off data connections.
-Enter "Engineer menu"-->"Port settings"-->"USB Switching"-->"QC composite"
-Reboot
-Link smartphone to pc via USB cable.
-Autoinstalling of drivers.
-Into your pc select "modem settings"
-Add: + CGDCONT = 1, “IP”, “orange” (or other for your operator).

BTW you should post in Galaxy Note 2 Q&A forum ( use xda device search engine to locate it)
A modem change might give you results only after you have checked your APN ,
Quick Guide
First Check your settings > about phone > status > your phone number ( IF UNKNOWN )
You won't be able to send SMS by any third party sms apps or Have a Network connection
Solution :-
You need to edit that "unknown" number to your phone number, by putting your SIM card on any old phone that has a "my number/owner number" option, (most old phones do). Edit and save it to the proper phone format as your Sim Card number (Example: +63913XXXXXXX). Now put the SIM back to M110S, to solve this problem.
Than check your system settings, in Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.(APN) as provided by your Network provider . If your Apn is not set, you wont be able to have data connection, so set it first
If still no data connection, Common Trick is to toggle WIFI and Airplane mode or
1. Turn ON WIFI
2. Set the phone to Flight Mode
3. Power down the phone for a few Minutes
4. Power it back up
5. Turn OFF flight mode
6. Turn OFF WIFI
Should get Data back

Dear all,
I'm having some serious issues about connecting to my service provider via my Nexus 5x (model LGH791). I'm based in Germany, trying to use o2. Due to the fact I'm using a german user interface some of the following translated description may vary from the original english descriptions.
Bootloader Info:
PRODUCT_NAME - bullhead
VARIANT - bullhead LGH791 16GB
HW Version - rev_1.0
BOOTLOADER VERSION - BHZ10r
BASEBAND VERSION - M8994F-2.6.32.1.13
CARRIER INFO - N/A
SERIAL NUMBER - 00b5xxxsecretxxxx
SIGNING - production
SECURE BOOT - enabled
DEVICE STATE - unlocked
Recovery: TWRP 3.0.2-1
Kernel: Stock Kernel.
Root: No, not rooted.
EDIT:
IMEI: looks like a valid IMEI
When I try to unlock my SIM via PIN I read the message: "SIM PIN Operation failed".
When I'm searching manually for a provider under Settings > Mobile Network I get the message "Error while searching for network".
I already flashed the sugested image from this XDA post here to change the base band.
I flashed the PureNexus ROM located on the XDA-Developers Forum, to change the base band too.
I removed the partition modemst1, suggested by this post, too.
I re-flashed the latest Stock ROM MTC20F from Google Developers.
I were able to choose the "European" and "Automatic" option under *#*#4636#*#* but I had to choose an option multiple times to successfully set it. Even choosing the USA Band says "Setting [USA Band] Unsuccessful". After alternating between "EURO Band" and "Automatic" a few times (varying) it says "Setting [EURO Band] Successful". Seems like some settings can't be set right away. Confusing.
When I'm prompted to unlock my SIM via PIN, I'm able to unlock it the first time. A few seconds pass and I'm prompted a second time resulting in a waiting/looping screen that says "Unlocking SIM..." that seems to be canceled after a timeout. The SIM card won't get unlocked after the second prompt.
Right now I'm not able to get any connection to a mobile service. The rest of the device works as expected.
I tested my SIM card in my Nexus 5. It's working fine. It's a self-cutted SIM card, formerly in the format of a microSIM.
I tested another SIM Card, used within an older HTC One Mini, that is working fine, too. It's a nanoSIM.
Anyone got any idea what's going on?
Best,
huppys
Hi,
I recently bought a second hand smartphone Galaxy S4 GT-9505 which according to IMEI info was first delivered on 2013 r. and uses a Qualcom Snapdragon 600 APQ 8064T chipset and is powered by a 4.2 Jelly Bean android version. I use a French Orange SIM card that works normally on other phones.
I installed the recommended version of LineageOS for this device.
The installation went smoothly and the system boots normally. Nevertheless, after booting I can see a barred SIM card icon on top of the screen.
In the Mobile network settings only one entry is available, i. e. :
- Data roaming is greyed and not accessible
- Preferred Network type is greyed and not accessible
- Connected line identification is accessible
- Access Point Names is greyed and not accessible
- Network Operators is greyed and not accessible
Finding a tuto dealing with this kind of issue, I phoned *#*#4636#*#* . Then I could go to Phone info menu and there I could see this :
IMEI : my imei
Phone number : unknown
Current Network :
Signal strenght :
Voice Service:
Data Service: Disconnected
Voice Network Type: Unknown
Data Network Type: Unknown
Voice Call Status:
Roaming:
Set Preferred Network Type: here is a dropdown list. According to the tuto I tried every value but all of them failed to revive anything.
Is this a known issue and what can I do ?
Same can't find any info. I am using a oneplus T6
