Hi
I gust upgraded my mobile from 2002 to 2003 t-mobile rom
But there was problem when I entered the phone settings and network setting
I lost the network in my mobile and it gives me an! Mark instead of the network signal
And when I tried to enter the phone settings it won't enter
And I tried to but another rom but there is an error kept saying that the device is not connected
And it s prop ply connected and excepting to install other software
Please help me to have my phone signal pack
I have a verizon 6900 that I updated using NFSFAN's WM6.5 1.00 FINAL ROM and now I cannot get the internet to work. I went back to the factory 6.1 and was unable to even make calls, so I spoke with verizon and got the phone working but they were unable to get the internet working. I flashed the ROM with the WM6.5 1.00 again and ran a couple different provisions and I still cannot get the internet. Can someone please help.
Sorry it keeps asking for username and password.
internet
VZW can tell you the user name and password its something simple like vzw3g or something. If you have that setup correctly you may be in the same boat im in. I can not connect to the internet. I did a hard reset some time back and lost the ability to data connect. I contacted the vzw techies who could not solve the problem, went into the store who could not solve the problem, went back to the "techs" on the phone who could not solve the problem. They all said it was my software which I think is bs. The problem is not my software because my phone tries to connect to their network and I have no known software issues. It has to be on the network end where the network wont recognize my phone. I quit working on the problem because I dont use data right now anyways and was on a pay as you go data plan so it was vzw's financial loss that i can not use data.
This fixed my Verizon Phone
1) dial ##778, enter in 000000 for the password

12a) Username is [email protected] (Same as above)
12b) Password is vzw
13) Click Finish in the lower right corner
14) Enjoy verizon wireless internet!
Also make sure you update your PRL to an verizon one.

But know I cannot update my radio. This has been an issue since I unlocked my phone. I cannot get the bootloader to load from my 1 GB microSD. I am not sure what to do. XV 6900
I have had this problem for months now.I have tried everything possible. Called vzw i dunno how many time I dunno how many new A-keys I have had.I even tried these settings. Nothing seems to be workn. But who knows. Only way I can get internet on this phone is to manullay put my phone in 1x. which is way slow but it works
I got everything working great now. I ran the .40 unlocker and then flashed back to the factory ROM from HTC. I entered all of the setting back into the phone that I listed above and then flashed it again with the factory ROM. All of this put my phone back to factory. I then re flashed it with the 2.31 and was able to update radio and flash with the 6.5 ROM from SD card in phone.
Just to resume a lot of questions regarding this subject. There is a list of steps to get your 3G data connection shared with yout PC via USB for each device.
--== HTC HD7 ==--
1. Download XAP file
2. Download the HTC USB Modem drivers
3. Deploy XAP file to your phone
4. Turn off your Data connection in your phone.
5. Run DFRouter and click on “HTC Modem”
6. If you only downloaded driver package just unzip to any folder, then Open Device Manager (recommended for Win7 64bit).
7. Find USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0EFF&REV_0000&MI_01 and force update driver with HtcUsbMdmV64 (inside unzipped folder)
8. Find USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0EFF&REV_0000&MI_00 and force update driver with HtcVComV64 (inside unzipped folder)
9. You will get two new device HTC USB Modem and HTC Diagnostic Interface (COM8)
10. Connect device to PC, open HTC USB Modem and select Advance Label
11. Add below command +cgdcont=1,”ip”,”APN”
(APN = Your carrier’s APN)
12. Create a new connection with HTC USB Modem, diag number is *99# and disabling IPV6
13.Just connect without user name and password.
============================================================
--== Dell Venue Pro ==--
1. Download the HTC USB Modem drivers
2. Edit both HtcUsbMdmV64.inf and HtcVComV64.inf files from the extracted drivers replacing the HTC device IDs with VID_05c6&PID_3199. Leave the &MI_00.
3. Go to EM(##634#), and go to Service Center, swithcing to Composite Mode. The password is *#301#.
4. After the fone reboots, install the 2 modified device drivers as you would do in HTC tutorial.
4. Continue following the HTC guide from step 9.
============================================================
--== Samsung WP7 Devices ==--
1. Download Samsung USB Drivers and install it
2. Dial ##634# then press the Call button
3. On diagnosis screen, Dial *#7284# and press Call button
4. A “Microsoft USB Test” screen will show up which allows configuration of USB Path Control settings (options available is Zune Sync; Modem, Tethered Call; and Modem, USB Diag). Select Modem, Tethered Call. The phone will restart and activate the setting. Windows will detect and install the driver from the device. A phone modem named Samsung Mobile Modem will be installed.
5. Now you can create a connection dial-up on your windows as step 9 in HTC HD7 tutorial.
============================================================
--== LG WP7 Devices ==--
1. Download LG USB Drivers and install it
2.Launch the LG phone dialer, and dial ##634#, then press the Call button to bring up a list of applications under the screen title of “MFG”.

While tethering via USB, the synchronization with Zune software may not be working. In this case, just disconnect the USB cable and connect over Wi-Fi connection to sync up with Zune software. And the disclaimer is that the hack violates most mobile carrier’s terms of service, and may cost users a lot of money for overage charge if they’re on limited data plan.
Also, I didn't tested all devices cause I just have a HTC HD7 and all information here was a compilation from some blog bosts I found over the web. I hope moderators can stick it somewhere so people can stop creating new posts regarding this subject 'cause I'll keep this post updated and, when the WIFI/BT/Cableless tethering comes UP, I'll update it here.
I hape it help. Enjoy it.
Best regards...

thanks this is great but we need internet connection sharing over usb, bt, or wifi
when our carriers can see us dialing up and charge us, well that is just not right
and i will not stand for it, nor will i pay for it lol

Yep, I still working on figure out how to do this. If there is a way to open a socket on the phone and listen on some ports, I can quickly do that.
Also, you will only be billed from your carrier if you dont have a illimited data plan. At least, I'm not charged from nothing and run just fine.
Thanks a lot for compiling all this information and getting it to us. One question though. Do you have to update drivers on each pc you want to tether with? Also, think the link to the HTC USB Drivers is wrong
I've been following this thread for two days now (in the HD2 WP7 forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=922000) but so far I'm not able to get my HD7 going with 3G tethering (always return error code of 692 despite me having to turn off the data connection in phone and having forced update the two drivers from HTC Sync for Android).
See if anyone else can get it going on HD7...
same here cannot download the second file...

Yes, every PC that you are connecting the phone, you will need the USB driver. And sorry about the link. I already fixed it.

I've already put the extra initialization command into the modem advanced properties, under "Device Manager", and properties of the "HTC USB Modem"..
Maybe the format of my string is something wrong? I'm using this:

Okay, just to report back, it is now working properly. After some messing around - by not enabling (unchecking) the dial-up properties of IPV6 (so left with IPV4), connectivity went through flawlessly.
thanks everyone!
Awesome.
i have dialed up with my cell before (through windows on my htc diamond) and i was charged. telus sucks yes i know. i have not tried with my lg optimus but i bet they can see...
whats my telus APN name?
+cgdcont=1,"IP","telus" ???
ill test this and report back
The APN field is you APN name configured on your device. Not the APN Address.
In my case here in Brazil it is "TIM CONNECT FAST" so my command should be +cgdcont=1,"IP","TIM CONNECT FAST"

Good! Let me update with this results
I'm stumped. Tried the APN address, the APN names, with data on/off, with APN in the cellular settings and without, IPV6 off etc. and nothing. Perhaps it's a T-Mobile US problem? Because I've tried the APN names "T-Mobile" and "T-Mobile US" and still get the 692 error...Any suggestions?
Ok. Now this is weird. I did nothing differently except I accidentally clicked USB Sync before I clicked HTC Modem on DFRouter and the connection went through. Hmm...
Success
Finally i got it working on my HTC-HD7 (Windows 7 x64 Prof).
The one thing a would like to add is I configured the "PPP" settings in the adapter settings (let ony LCP checked) but i don't think this was the breakthrough.
After some play-around in settings (PPP on pc for example, disable Wifi/Wlan on phone) I managed to get the Error "668" instead of "692", also data connection was disabled. Restarting the phone made it work!
Just make sure to have the right driver installed and restart your phone after disabling the data connection that helped for me!
Remember to disable IPv6.
I use the "*99#" number and +cgdcont=1,"ip","internet"
for o2 germany apn
Edit: Let the default COM port.. I didn't change the COM port and it works now.. If you changed then delete the devices from device manager and start from the beginning
good luck

how is everyone dialing *99#? are you calling using your computer or your dialpad on WP7's?

then go to settings on your phone, celullar, data connection off, go down add apn

You dial with your computer, where you set up the dial up connection.
Aditionaly for everyone with 32Bit Systems (like me...) who have troubles finding the drivers, take these from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10949837&postcount=78
It got it to work with my HTC Mozart 7 and german provider "BASE".
Now I'm curious how this is charged by the provider..... hope this is covered by my dataconnection flat.

I am using a HTC One V CDMA (Virgin Mobile USA) in India on Reliance CDMA network. The phone was flashed to Reliance and everything is working fine ie I can make/receive calls/sms etc. 1x / EVDO credentials have already been written to the phone.
Now the issue is that I am not able to enable data or the data connection doesn't get enabled automatically. When I try to enable data it says "Disconnected because service is unavailable". But if I press the "Activate this device" button in the settings section, an activation screen 1..2..3 comes up, then wait for 3-4 sec, the 3G symbol gets displayed meaning its able to make a data connection. Now if I go back to the settings page and enable data it successfully connects, and I am able to access internet at EVDO speeds. But after some idle time, the data connection is automatically disconnected and to reconnect I need to repeat the above process. Even if I intentionally disconnect data and try to reconnect, it doesn't happen and I need to go through the "Activate this device" process.
I believe some sort of initialization is missing which is done during the "Activate this device" phase and hence I am able to connect. What could be the reason for this? Is it some setting/configuration that needs to be enabled?
Please pour your valuable tips to resolve this issue.
Thanks
Fixed the issue with auto connection of data, not sure what fixed it exactly, but here are the last changes that I made after which it started working.
You need to use the tool QPST (I used version 2.7.378, an older version didn't work) for this.
In the M.IP tab, disable all profiles except profile 1
Then edit profile 1 and make changes (check attachment)
Then in RmNet tab enable auto connect for device 0 and 1.
After that
PPP Config --> Um --> Enter user/pass as "net" (Req Pw enc should be unchecked)
PPP Config --> AN --> Enter the EVDO credentials given by the MEID registrar (Req Pw enc should be unchecked)
Please note that I got it working merely by trial and error and some of the above changes may not be required and I am not even sure why they are necessary , but with the above configuration I am able to enable data without any problem.

Well, I had loaded the NVDump earlier, but as I had mentioned it would connect first but if you disconnect or get disconnected it wouldn't reconnect.
Check if the SPC is correct, cause I never got any error like that.

You are talking about Reliance CDMA right?
If yes you need to get the MEID registered, will cost you about Rs 500. Reliance store guys will not do it, have to get it done through some 3rd party provider.

Without the correct EVDO credentials, you won't be able to get EVDO speeds. You need to check with your MEID registrar.
NV dump is not really required and the same can be configured manually if you have the credentials as I have described above. Since you are able to make and receive calls, it looks like the Akey is already set.
so that means if i dont get the credentials from the registrar EVDO can never be started on this handset??

You could check with some other person who does MEID registration, maybe they can retrieve the credentials. But without it, EVDO will not work.

Simply by loading the Reliance PRL file, you should have voice signal, if not you are doing something wrong.

I don't think that would be a problem.
Make sure you are using the right PRL file.
No above steps required.
You must have flashed NV Dump already.
Your phone must be activated via *228 already.
Just perform below mentioned steps :
1) Put your phone in Diag Mode by dialing ##3424#
2) Get HTC Diag Mode driver if you don't have it already
3) Download DFS Demo version from DFS Website
4) Connect your phone with DFS, send SPC
5) Now, go to Programming tab -> Data ->
6) Click Read
7) At PPP tab, write "net" (without quotes) to SIP NAI, UID, Pwd field.
Restart the device and here you go, your device would get connected to internet instantly.

BTW you should post in Galaxy Note 2 Q&A forum ( use xda device search engine to locate it)
A modem change might give you results only after you have checked your APN ,
Quick Guide
First Check your settings > about phone > status > your phone number ( IF UNKNOWN )
You won't be able to send SMS by any third party sms apps or Have a Network connection
Solution :-
You need to edit that "unknown" number to your phone number, by putting your SIM card on any old phone that has a "my number/owner number" option, (most old phones do). Edit and save it to the proper phone format as your Sim Card number (Example: +63913XXXXXXX). Now put the SIM back to M110S, to solve this problem.
Than check your system settings, in Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.(APN) as provided by your Network provider . If your Apn is not set, you wont be able to have data connection, so set it first
If still no data connection, Common Trick is to toggle WIFI and Airplane mode or
1. Turn ON WIFI
2. Set the phone to Flight Mode
3. Power down the phone for a few Minutes
4. Power it back up
5. Turn OFF flight mode
6. Turn OFF WIFI
Should get Data back
