Just done a search but could find no answer.
HTC Magic on UK Vodafone
62.50S.20.17U_2.22.19.26I
Cyanogen 4.2.9.1
In settings> about phone> status>
It shows My phone number as Unknown.
Have tried a new SIM card from Vodafone but no change.
Is there any way to update the field with my phone number?

Hi,
A new operator tata docomo just started their operations here.
the mobile was purchased before this operator existed.
Now when i try to use the phone with this operators sim card, a message appears operator not supported please get an update from your device provider.
HTC here with their crappy support says pay up for an upgraded firmware.
I mean WTF???
just to enter a setting of a new operator??? why should i pay???
Help me get the settings entered manually.
Please tell me how to do it.
problem is that the operators name is not displayed (instead a number is displayed) and I cannot open the phone settings anymore, it closes as soon as it opens. which is really annoying. No problem with other operators.
Hi xda-community,
I installed Android on my HTC Touch Pro 2 (ROHD100), but my SIM is blocked.
The most things are working fine, WLAN, Sound, etc..
My mobile phone can't connect to the mobile network!
I tried to connect to T-Mobile Germany:
Settings->Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Network operators ->
but then it shows a long time long "searching" and an turning ring,
After a long time of searching any solutions, I found:
Settings->Location & security -> Set up SIM card lock ->
There I tried to remove the green "check mark", with enter my SIM Pin.
The mark doesn't remove.
What does that do for me? A mobile without the "phoning-function".
Has anyone the same progblems, or any sollutions?

Make sure there's no SIM PIN or SIM locks employed in WinMo.
Other than that, not sure what would prevent your SIM from being successfully detected.
However, reading your post... You're on Eclair? No one supports that anymore, it's ancient.
Give FRX06 a whirl.
Hi,
I just was given a Note 2. The problem with it is that it doesn't detect the sim card (even though one is inserted). It's a GT-N7105 and apparently has been unlocked to work with T-mobile.
An IMEI number is listed when I go to about phone >status. Here is what it says on the "status" page
Network: Unknown
Signl strength: -105 dBm 4asu
Mobile Network type: Unknown
Service State: out of service
My phone number: unknown
What have I done is hard factory reset the device, rooted it, installed a new version of Bliss Rom but that hasn't fixed it. What should I do next?
I inserted SIMs in both the slots, still it shows no sim inserted icon in statusbar but for only I SIM tray. Usually when both the SIM trays are empty it shows two no SIM icons. The phone is acting like it's not a dual SIM phone :: 1) Settings->more does not show the usual "manage sim cards" option. 1) Settings->about does not show the usual "SIM 1" and "SIM 2" option, just a single "SIM status".
IMEI information has usually two entries but now only one and it shows the IMEI number as known!
Please check the attached screenshots.
What's happening with my phone? Tired RR Custom rom same there. Now on RR Custom Stock.
EDIT :
Everything normal after flashing RAW firmware. I thank the community for the help and support.
You can try this, it worked for me: https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/asus-zenfone-2ze551ml-ze550mlunlock-t3564309
Hi
So I bought this phone used.
I put sim card .. the phone shows the Carrier, even shows the APN settings . But I can't make calls (emergency calls only)
The imie of the device found on back is For Factory Unlocked 928A and I contacted ATT and confirm it's unlocked.
The Problem is : when you dial *# 06 # the phone shows a different imei number. And this particular number when looked up doesn't belong to any device on Earth. Using imei checker. And when going to service mode it shows imei: NG
So.
The first step on solution is to restore the original imei number that belongs to the device . That's logic right ?
How can I?
What about efs partition ?
I am on latest Nougat. Can't downgrade to 5.1.1 to root and try to change imei or restore efs
Trying downgrade in Odin give FAIL lol
What to do ? Excuse my English.
