Can someone confirm if the UK charging dock does come with a power supply adapter as well?
I'm looking to charge my xoom at home on the dock and carry the standard charger with me when away so don't want to spend out on a dock if i've got to spend another £20 odd on top.
Thanks

I need a longer charging cord. The factory cords they send with these tabs are wayyyyy too short. 5 feet or so would be perfect. Any recommendations?

Longer cables can be found on amazon and ebay. Here is a link to one example.

I guess I should rephrase. What longer cables have you all used that will charge the tab while using it. Most of the extended USB cables have terrible reviews because they can't supply enough juice. I see the cellet cable has good reviews but no numbers tossed around as to what its output is.

I use a regular, generic (female / male) USB extender cable, connected to the stock Samsung one. Works perfectly.

Ditto, mines only a foot or two longer and it is more than enough distance for me.
Why do you need the extra long cable?
A regular extender cable works likea charm...
Dx.com has a lot of those

Hi,
I currently have the euro charger with us adapter and its annoying how janky the thing is.
What are you fellow us owners using for wall chargers?
I'm thinking the Samsung galaxy note charger might be good. Its under rated at 5v .7A so it should work right just charge slower ...
Thanks

Just in case you're really cheap like me, an easy way to get the charger and adapter to "stick" together is to take some small strips of paper, fold them over and over again until they're about as wide and thick as a popsicle stick, and stick one in each side of the adapter socket. Then cram the charger into the adapter, and it'll fit like a glove. Before I did that, my charger would fall out of the adapter at least three times a day. If you'd like some pictures to see what I'm talking about, just let me know.

I just received my mhl to HDMI adapter. Hooked it up and it works. I get a picture on the screen with YouTube, DirecTV, and so far anything else. The only thing it doesn't do as far as I can tell is charge the phone. I'm not looking for it to fully charge or quickly charge it as the phone is in use but all indicaters ( batt in status bar, lock screen, ect) don't show the phone charging. I know it isn't as I seem to lose about 1% per 3-4 minutes. Is this how it is supposed to be , meaning the phone won't charge or is it supposed to and I just can't get it to?

My official Samsung MHL adapter charges my phone... Well since the display has to be on for MHL it doesn't really charge it, it is but the screen uses so much battery that it actually loses a small percentage over time.
You should see the charging icon though...

No I have no charge ( lightning) icon. My adapter isn't official. Got it off eBay. Hmmm.

Charger or cable problem?
Mine is working perfectly and I got it from eBay.
So try another charger... Are you using the GNexus original one?
It's possible that it's the cable fault, so consider to retrieve it to who sold it to you.
Sorry for bad English
Original charger..no the one they sent. I'll try the original charger and see

There is two pin near NFC contacts.
Il you connect 5V wired cable you can charge battery and shunt usb port.
if it is the micro usb on the phone that is banjaxed and it is to difficult/expensive to repair you could always get a back cover that supports wireless charging and a charging pad
Is it phone or charger micro usb problem? If phone port is out of order then you can buy dock battery charger and one spare battery . After charging put battery in phone and keep other battery for charging in dock. If cable is out of order then you can use other mobile microusb cable too as I am using LG phone charger. however one has to be careful as different adapters
you can get those wireless charging docks which uses NFC.
Thanks 4 all da support

Anyone know how the Qi charger knows its connected to the official wall adapter? Tried plugging it to my car charger and my Galaxy Note charger but wont start charging either way.
I wondered the same, mine will also only work with the supplied charger. Perhaps it's the amp output. Will be getting the new Asus QI charger delivered soon, will let you know if that is as fussy.

well, i gave up on it and returned the official qi charger. will look for aftermarket options.
how many amps does your car charger have? My aftermarket Qi only works with 1.2A and up.
