Hello!
I've recently installed Leedroid 3.2.1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056727
And i've followed the instructions on how to format your SD card so it will work with A2SD.
Here's what i did:
1. Formatted SDcard on cellphone.
2. Booting gparted on the computer and then made the whole SDcard to fat32.
3. Made 1000 mb of sdcard to ext3.
4. reboot and then Apply zip which was the zip in the thread - a2sd patch.
5. Starting gscript to see if Dalvik cache has been moved and it says I can save 180 mb if I fix a2sd.
Anyone know where i'm doing wrong or has the leedroid with a2sd who could guide me?

Hi ,
Today I tried to flash new rom (with A2SD) ..
Everything was fine until I turned off the phone .. When I tried to turn on the phone it was stuck on "HTC" Screen .. I think it's mine SD Card EXT .. Because when I tried to do a wipe it's wrote me something like this : error mound sd ext ..
Then I took my old 4GB (without SD EXT) and tried to flash rom without A2SD and it's work just fine now !! But I want to fix my Kingston 16GB CLASS 10 EXT .. and flash rom with A2SD Because now I have modaco R3.1 without A2SD ..
Some one can help me please ? Thanks a lot
Help please
1st I would try to do another full wipe und flash the rom again. It depends on which recovery you are using, older ver of Clockwork cannot wipe your sdext because of mount issues i guess (thats the error you got), but with the newest one you should be able to. (btw: which rom are you trying to flash?)
2nd you could reformat your sdext through rom manager (backup your sdcard!) und then flash the rom.
Let me know if this helps, otherwise i could probably give you some other hints.

Sounds like the A2SD+ bug, was reported many times.

It will delete your whole sd-card. So you should backup it and then copy it back afterwards. So you are using the newest ver of Clockwork, have you also a permanent recovery flashed (with unrevoked)? Because when you format your sd, your recovery will be gone otherwise until you flash it again.
I would flash a permanent recovery (just for safety - search for unrevoked), partition your sd with rom manager, do a complete wipe and then flash a rom with a2sd+.
That should definitely fix your problem.
Wait I want to understand something ..
Right now I have MoDaCo r3.1 without A2SD with my 4GB (without SD EXT)
I want to flash 2.2 . I had rom with 2.2 and A2SD but something was wrong with my KingSton 16GB and the phone was stuck on HTC screen . I think it's happened because the rom want to move apps to SD EXT .. but I think the SD EXT in Kingston 16GB class 10 is broken .. Because when I flash rom without A2SD (Like modaco r3.1) The phone work great !
I can make a SD EXT on my 4GB and then flash rom with A2SD but I want to fix the SD EXT on my Kingston 16GB class 10 ..
How I can do that befor I will flash rom with A2SD .
Thanks a lot
Or if someone know how I can remove the SD EXT that I have now on my Kingston and than make new one ..Thanks

1. Boot with your 16gb card the rom without A2SD
2. Backup your sdcard
3. Open Rom Manager
4. Choose to Partition your sdcard, sdext 512, swap 0
5. Reinstall Recovery through Rom Manager
6. Reboot into Recovery
7. Wipe
8. Install rom with A2sd / A2sd+
Thanks a lot ! I will try it later
Hello,
Since i tried flashing my phone to 3.0.5 leedroid i get the following problem.
the phone gets stuck in bootloop!
I used the zip file for the new ext3 allignment from the thread of Leedroid.
After i flashed the 3.0.5 i get dalvik cache errors.
I wiped all cache and the dalvik as well before flashing the rom.
See my logcat attached.
I can not get passed this
someone please help me!
try to mount sd card manually in the recovery after installing 3.05 and before the first boot
It solves this question for me..
There are some directions for enabling SD card in fastboot in this thread which might also help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=691639
Found the issue!!
First of all thank you all for your help and giving out the information that might be helpfull for others.
As I wanted to put a new zip file on the FAT32 partition of the SD i noticed something:
The partition was corrupted!
So after checkinng the SD card all partitions seemed corrupted.
So after reformatting the SD card in the following order:
1. make a new fat32 partition of 2.72 GB
2 make a new ext3 partition of 512 MB
3 make a new swap-file partition of 219 MB (this size seems weird to me, but there was no more room)
After this has been done, I hooked up the phone to my pc with the Android SDK installed.
I started up the Dalvik Debug Monitor and keeped a close eye for errors.
After this i mounted the sd card to my pc again in clockworkmod.
I copied the rom zipfile again.
Reflashed the phone and made sure the SD card was mounted to the phone again.
Rebooted my phone and it worked!
Thank you all for your input.
I have installed the Runnymede rom of Sebastiaan yesterday. I chose for the A2SD+ script at the installation. But the script will not run right. My telephone tells me i have left 10MB of my internal memory.
I have installed this rom as following:
- installed 4EXT recovery
- Made a EXT4 partition of 1.5GB for my SD-EXT (the rest 6.5GB is for SD)
- Did make a full wipe
- Installed the rom
- Installed the SNQ kernel
- Started up the rom
Some extra phone information:
hboot 6.93.1002 (s-off)
cm7 hboot
Kingston 8GB class10 (1.5GB SD-EXT / 6.5GB SD)
I made no changes after i started the rom. Does anyone recognize what i am doing wrong?
If you need more information, please ask me!
Regards,
Niels
Open a terminal emulator on your phone and run
Code:
su
ls -l /data
Post the output here.
Here is the output:
Important ouput is this one:
Code:
app -> [B]sd-ext[/B]/app
app-private -> [B]sd-ext/[/b]app-private
So based on this output A2SD is working. What's missing is, that the dalvik cache is not moved to EXT partition of SD card. Check rom's thread if there is a script for this.
There is a script for that, i think that works. But the problem is solved with another solution. I choose at the installation of the new runnymede for A2SDX instead of A2SD+ so now i have lots of memory space.
Thanks for your help!
Love this rom, but having a problem.
I installed the a2sd script and now when I download certain apps it reboots and stays on boot loop.
I have to pull the battery and go into recovery to restore but the zip is no longer there, it is wiping the zip from the SD card so I have to reinstall it !!!!!
I tried installing the rom without the script but then run into low memory problems.
Any ideas please

What hboot are you on? Which Sandvold did you install 0.7 or 0.8? What install options did you choose?
On stock hboot:
Do a full wipe (not SD), flash again , choose either stock (a2sd (typical install) or amarullz (custom install)). If you chose a2sd then after install open terminal and type:
su
a2sd install
Yes on move Dalvik-cache
No on move App-data
Yes to reboot
The stock a2sd and the amarullz have been tested stable on stock hboot, there seem to be more issues with CM7r2 hboots.

What is this particular a2sd script? I am assuming your already created a partition FAT32 (Primary) followed by 1/2 gb ext4 partition beforehand.
Also I never seen anything that deletes the rom in the sd card. Perhaps you are formatting the sd card in recovery.
I would advise to change hboot to stock, do full wipe(wipe/factory reset, wipe cache+dalvik, system, data and sd ext). If you choose custom install, and got sd card class 4 or above, then I recommend you don't go for the stock a2sd, you are much better with Amarullz.
Some things to check :
- check your partitions' alignment (from recovery)
- did you reply 'n' when a2sd script asked you about moving data to sd ?
- did you change your governor to conservative (assuming you're on stock or tobby_d's kernel ?)
I met that kind of behavior usually just after a fresh install when I forgot about 2 last steps mentionned above.
Thanks so much guys for your help.
I was on version 0.7, and with Y to app-data to SD. I have installed version 0.8 and followed all your instructions and all seems well.
Thank you again very much
I have a little problem with my WFS. I partitioned the SD card to use Int2Ext4, but the ROM keeps saying that no SD card is present, even if it does use the EXT partition. I can mount the card in CWM, I can see it's content there.
I'm using the ROM from OWL Project (this thread), the last version of it.
I would post there, but I don't have the post count yet.
Any advice? I'm currently repartitioning my SD card and try again. I reflashed the ROM a couple of times, fixed permissions as well from CWM.
Did you format your partition on the SD card with EXT4? INT2EXT4 only supports the ext4 file system, not ext2 or ext3. I use the INT2EXTV2 on myl WFS with the OWL ROM for a few weeks and it works without problems so far.

Yes, I used Ext4. I tried flashing Int2Ext, Int2Ext+, Int2ExtV2+ and Int2Ext4+ from CWM, but I was always stuck on bootloop. The only way I made it work was by extracting the script file from Int2Ext4+ and placing it in /system/etc/init.d of the ROM zip. Flashed it, it worked, but then I got this problem )
I'm thinking that maybe the FAT32 partition was not formatted correctly. So I'm doing that now.
I repartitioned the SD card and now it worked correctly. Weird is, I did the same thing as before, so I'm not really sure why it wasn't working in the first time.

i format the sdcard, cache, dalvik, etc then flash the script (data2sd or int2ext or int2ext+ or watever) then goto advanced then select partition sd card, select 512 MB and 0 MB for linux swap space. DONE, hope solves it for you
I have too WFS with OWL project and i dont have any problem with this
Go to recovery menu and here create partition (befor it backup sd card)
Then go to mount and storage menu > mount usb storage >connect usb cable > give cronomod on sd
Then go to install zip from sd card and instal cronomod INT2EXT+
And have more memory
After instal cronomod dont stres android start is first longer but only first then normal speed
Thanks for the answers. I did say I fixed it already by repartitioning the card. Probably I didn't format it right.
