Hi I was wondering if it is possible for a mytouch slides sound from the back could stop working. I have a mytouch slide almost brand new and I rooted it and put 3rd sense rom on it and then over clocked to 785mhz. I then began to play drums on an app from the android market and then suddenly the sound stopped working. Is it even possible for stuff like this to happen out of nowhere. I was thinking it was the rom but I want to know what you guys think. Please someone help, thanks in advance.
well for sure the speakers didnt blow out becuase you would know that.... i think it is either your rom or from over clocking it, try putting the salsa slide rom on it and see if that fixes it, they both are sense roms
Would overclocking have caused the speakers to stop working

A blown out speaker cannot be caused by overclocking! An even @ that i doubt your speaker is blown! So i agree w/ the other person try the salsa rom!

OC will not bust your speakers. I am addicted to OC and that never happened to me.
Wipe and flash CyanogenMod 7 and see if the speakers work
My cousin just told me that he kept the phone on his window sill while the sun was on it. Could that have caused the speakers to stop working.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
I just flashed the salsa rom and the speakers still don't work. Any other ideas and thanks for the help so far.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
that is very weird this actually might be a hardware issue, maybe ur cousin dropped it and a wire or something in the phone came loose because right now thats really the only answer.
Alright then thanks guys, if someone doesn't mind answering this. How much would you estimate it would cost to fix a speaker on the mytouch slide.

I thought there were 2 noise canceling mics also. Must have been a device i looked at but didn't get
Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk
There's two. One on the bottom for voice, and one on the very top for noise cancellation. The other holes seen on the back are for reception really.

i thought i heard somewhere the two on the back helped when video recording.
There are indeed 2.

I dropped my Epic the other day and now my speaker is staticy and distorted when the phone rings or I watch videos. Is this something sprint can fix or am I stuck with this till my upgrade?

I think its obvious there's a little cover that popped off over the speaker and it doesn't exactly go back on properly. Wouldn't insurance cover it though. I do have tep but I think they make you take it in to se if it can be fixed.

Thanks for the response problem solved tep took it in to sprint speaker replaced no charge.

Any one notice how low the speaker phone is? Any way to make it louder? I have the hearing aide enabled but not a good as it was for the vibrants HAC mode

Root should give us these options, it did with the HD2 at least. Until then I'm not sure.

[Q] How is your volume during calls?
Mine seems to be very low through the earpiece and even worse with the provided headset. Is it my phone or just the way it is?

Same with mine. I had HAC mode enabled on my Vibrant which helped the same issue. Enabling it (different name) on the S ii doesn't really have any effect for me.

I'm bone stock and have noticed the same thing the last few days. I don't make a ton of calls and I really only call my wife, so I don't know when it started, but I was blaming her iPhone.
Maybe its just Sprint.
Let's do something.
1. Download Stock ROM
2. Download Triangle Away
3. Run Triangle Away and reset counter.
4. Flash stock ROM.
5. Go to the store and yell as hard as you can "I WANT A NEW PHONE, THIS POS IS NOT WORKING".
6. Check for warranty.(Optional)

I literally just got the LG Optimus G and I love this phone. I wish it was more blacked theme but I don't care. This phone is amazingly fast and playing around with the Samsung GS3 and Note 2, they got a bit laggy in the Sprint store.
Only thing I am worried about is battery life (people say it isn't the best) and dropping it...I don't have a case yet. Well just saying I love my Optimus G so far.
R.I.P Samsung Epic 4G, you will be missed.

The phone is ok camera isnt the best. .phone is very fast an love the screen.I got a little light bleed around the screen i only see it when im on a all black screen..one other thing is the androind updates LG is horrible with updates

I honestly think the battery on this phone is just fine. All depends on how you use it but it is light years better than my nexus s was.

During school I have like every possible thing turned off. I just text a lot.
And I found something that bugs me about this phone. I can't set the brightness all the way up "due to high temperature" and my phone isn't even hot. I mean...I feel the heat but that doesn't bother me. Now overheating scares me about this phone.
And I do miss my epic. I'm trying to transfer music and everything and this is....a pain in the arse.

Overheating is my problem. But, it rocks otherwise. The problem is battery life. Now that I'm at school, I can't last all day with it. And I just text a lot and minor Internet usage.

Quick question, does this phone have a battery percentage instead of just the icon at the top right by the clock in the status bar? If so how do I set it?

There's no reason to have the brightness all the way up. I'm outside alot and I keep it at 63 percent. My battery last all day easily. Especially if I just text and surf. Use Eco mode also
