I dropped my Epic the other day and now my speaker is staticy and distorted when the phone rings or I watch videos. Is this something sprint can fix or am I stuck with this till my upgrade?

If you have full insurance.just take it back to them and says you never dropped it.

I think its obvious there's a little cover that popped off over the speaker and it doesn't exactly go back on properly. Wouldn't insurance cover it though. I do have tep but I think they make you take it in to se if it can be fixed.

Thanks for the response problem solved tep took it in to sprint speaker replaced no charge.

Hi everyone well a while ago I put a huge scratch in my "chimp" glass haha and I'm sick off looking at it will sprint. Buff out the scratches I'm fully covered for cosmetic damage and nuclear war haha but does anyone think sprint wud buff out the scratch or shud I just crack the screen and get a new replacement screen?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
How deep/ large is the scratch? Last time I went there I think they said they don't fix scratches larger than an inch. The only thing they did was hand over the asurion insurance business card and told me to call them to just get a replacement phone since I had insurance for the thing
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
My scratch is circual and spans the entire screen its deep enough for me to feel it with my finger (not nail)
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
Yeah your probably going to have to get a replacement phone from the insurance company.

That's like saying how can I reverse time, it ain't going to happen. I've even messed up during ODIN still got nothing.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
It is very difficult to brick this phone although travismoreno seems to be good at it. he bricked quite a few with bad cables during Odin. I have had Odin freeze many time especially trying to make an EL30 prerooted tar ( didn't happen). And no brick.

So you want to fully brick your Epic?
If so use odin as if your flashing a modem and check repartition. It should be bricked after that.

You could try a NON corporate sprint repair center. Most of the ones I've ever been to will do it and sometimes free. In my case they just write a note saying the something else was defective and replace the screen (or phone). Most times if they can get the money from sprint they'll do anything

Well i have a good friend who works at my local repair center and when i go today im hoping shell help me out but if not what am i gunna do? im not spending 500 dollars on a new phone
I just received my replacement t989 from TMobile, and realized my original phone's screen quality was horrible! I powered them on side by side, and my new phone looks clear as day with bold colors, and my original phone looks distorted and VERY yellow! I will post pictures after work. Has anyone else noticed this?
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Yes. Also got a replacement recently and I can attest the screens have gotten better on the newer-made phones.
Updated OP with a picture I took of them side by side. You can clearly tell which one is which.
Same here, my previous t989 screen was crappy and the moment I turned on my replacement phone I noticed a huge difference with the screen quality, felt like I am using a whole new phone.

So do you think this super amoled screen goes bad quickly or do you think the refurb really has a better screen? Because I'll warrantee right now...

I think the replacement just has a better screen. I don't see them degrading to that extent, especially in this short of time.
If you have insurance T-Mobile discounts the exchange to only $5 and you get free overnight shipping.

I'm bone stock and have noticed the same thing the last few days. I don't make a ton of calls and I really only call my wife, so I don't know when it started, but I was blaming her iPhone.
Maybe its just Sprint.
Let's do something.
1. Download Stock ROM
2. Download Triangle Away
3. Run Triangle Away and reset counter.
4. Flash stock ROM.
5. Go to the store and yell as hard as you can "I WANT A NEW PHONE, THIS POS IS NOT WORKING".
6. Check for warranty.(Optional)

Anyone have any idea as to where I can purchase a power bottom for my LG Optimus G? Mine feel off when I did a battery pull a few days ago and haven't found it ever since lol. I've tried eBay and amazon...no dice. Any suggestions?

Try a local Sprint store.

It would have to be a repair center Sprint store that happens to have a bad LGOG that they haven't sent back yet.
DON'T VACUUM! It's there...somewhere

Hey, when I use to fix watches we dropped stuff from time to time. The best thing you can do is sweep the room into a dust pan. Then sift through the contents.

I'll try those ideas guys and I'd that fails I'll hit up a sprint shop and hope for the best lol

This. And hopefully you have TEP, or they may charge you $35 for the repair IF they even have a part to harvest.

If the area you dropped it on was carpeted take a strip of duct tape and loop it around inside out so the sticky side with the glue is on the outside. Roll the tape all over the floor and hope something sticks.
If you can't find it, try going to a non corporate sprint store and see if they can help. At my store, they know the mods I do on my phones, so they will usually help me out if I need a small part.
