Hi
I have a very irritating problem with my Defy. The lockscreen is autodisabled after a while when its enabled.
What to do? I've tried a factory reset, but the problem remains...
Is there anyway to find out which app is causing the problem?
Thanks!
are you on Eclair? i had this problem when i first got my phone as well, and i never know how to solved it. problem disappeared when i flashed to froyo and now CM7/MIUI. not really suggesting that you do the same, but......
I'm on Froyo, maybe it´s time to flash to CM7 then... Hmm.
Thanks for your reply!

I just flashed the new RCMixHD v3.4 rom after a full wipe. After I rebooted the device it took me to the usual setup, but when I tried to choose a WiFi to connect to, the keyboard didn't came up. It surprised me a bit, but I chose skip anyway. After I skipped the entire setup, I went to try if the keyboard really doesn't work, and it doesn't. I did a full wipe and flashed the rom again, but got the same result. Does anyone have the same problem with this rom, and if yes, did you came up with any solution?
Thanks in advance!
Same problem there, any solution? THX

Somehow solved the problem. Just downloaded the rom again and reinstalled the radio.
Hope this helps!!
what's up guys so i recently rooted my phone and flashed the latest cm7 (7.0.2). i couldn't help but to notice that my auto-rotate does not work on apps. i.e. web browser, txting, etc. It DOES rotate when i slide the keyboard out, but it's stuck on portrait if i don't have the keyboard out. I've tried ticking an unticking various things such as auto-rotate, being able to rotate an additional 180 degrees..nothing seems to make it work. does anyone have a clue of what's wrong?? (f.y.i, i've tried reflashing the rom couple of times and also flashing cm nightly, wiping the cache, wiping data/reset, but still no progress). if anyone has encountered this problem, or might have a solution, that would be great ! it's starting to irritate me..so any help would be much appreciated. thanks for stopping by.
Yeah try a better more stable rom

so i tried flashing a different rom (gingervillain 1.5) like you said..and it's still not working.....any other suggestions? should i unroot and root my phone again? would that cause any harm?
This has been happening occasionally on my G2 while running the stock deodexed ROM, and the only way I've known to fix it is to run "fix permissions" in CWM. I've also deleted the cache and dalvik cache as well, just to be safe, and these have fixed the problem for me. I'm not sure if it's related to the ROM or any of the apps I have installed, but I'm getting more & more concerned that it could be that my accelerometer slowly dying. Not sure.
I really hope that helps fix your problem.

ok so i tried to do your method, and it still doesnt work... i'm kind of bummed because i barely got a replacement on this phone..and its hard to believe that the accelerometer would be dying on mine because i just got it replaced like few weeks ago..i really don't know what the problem is

thank's i'll try it and let you know if it worked!
i have the same issue and i've tried almost every baseband but nothing changed!
I've got a rather strange problem... I'm running stock due to this issue... I'm running mm right now... Anyways, every time I root this phone, I lose my dialer program menu for example, *#0*#. I figured it was a rooting issue so I just flashed back to stock and then flashed only twrp and then flashed a mm rom. Well it still did the same thing. Anybody else having this issue or know of a fix? I need to be able to access the calibration menu for my compass for work..
Nobody has this issue? Ik I can't be the only one...
Hi,
Not too sure if anybody else has had this problem. Every day morning, when I try to use my phone first time in the day, the phone app does not open. It opens and closes within half a second. It has been happening daily. A reboot fixes the issue for the moment.
However, need to check if anybody else has been facing this issue.
I am running stock 3.2.6.
To resolve the issue, I have tried hard reset, flashing stock OS, flashing 3.1.2 and then flashing the incremental OTAs, almost everything I have tried.
Looks like the issue has not been resolved at all. Tried switching off the doze mode as well. Not helping.
Anybody has any guidance/solution to this problem?

Make a clean install of the full 3.2.6 ie after wiping system, data and cache/Dalvic. Do not install the earlier version/s and update via OTA or flash the OTA.
Maybe you have some app that is conflicting with your phone app.

Seems like the issue was due to a specific app. U sure though.. I uninstalled a set of apps which I had installed before the issue started. Currently looks like it has been resolved.
Same thing is happening for me in 3.2.8 no matter what ... That too only in morning as Mr.Deepak said please help .. I have tried re-flashing ROM etc ... What could be the issue?
@deepakmasthi can u please let me know how did your issue get solved.. as I'm facing the same problem as u.. Please help
