Dalvik hack help.

How to would I go about un-doing this hack? It's stopping me from downloading large sized apps from the market.

I've tried clearing the cache through CWM.

re flash ROM
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Had a feeling that's what I'll have to do. It's a case of dumping the UK 2.3.4 into my firmwares on the latest flash tool right?
No worries, I luckily had a back up from before I flashed the hack. I found it was more trouble than it's worth sadly.
Are you using 2.3.4? If so the dalvik hack wont work well
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Just delete the script from /system/etc/init.d/

I'm using link2sd and wonder if I ever update to 2.3.4 if it will be a problem too. I haven't yet even figured out if I would have to update via pc or are there other options? Will I have to reroot or will it be kept? If the root goes will all the links etc break for my apps on the second sd partition?

Why i cant update OTA?

I cant seems to update OTA. Im using fw.42,bseband-64,kernel.283
One more, cant i flash kernel using flashtool? Must i use fastboot?
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium
maybe cause your phone has rooted..you can update using flashtool if you have the fw62.ftf,and yes you can flash kernel using flashtool, but make sure you're in fastboot mode..

I'm pretty sure you have to have all modded files in system back to stock

I can't use odin :/ and I am on stock but it's rooted
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk
You will always have root acces as the kernel is modified, but you can remove superuser...
The best is just to flash a clean stock rom, as you also need to flash the stock recovery, but flashing a stock rom does all of these

Someone here with a flashable stock kernel?
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk
Use the flashable .zip from a custom kernel and replace the boot.img with a stock one

Depending on the root method, the kernel isn't modified. It is with ro.secure=0 boot images. And even then, technically its the ramdisk and not the kernel that is modified.
An exploit, or rooted recovery allows the root permissions to be granted to a properly located su binary. Superuser provides user control over this now available privilege escalation.
You could for instance user SuperOneClick to unroot. It essentially uses an exploit to gain a temporary root access with which it removes the su binaries and superuser apk.
I have an un root in the subscriptions . One sec lemme get it.
EDIT; Here it is, enjoy

Pc not recognizing files On Xperia S

Ok so I searched alot and found my forums with no solution.. I have Xperia S stock Rom .55 not rooted. The issue is that pc doesnt recognize file which I download or create in my Xperia S. These file work fine in Xperia S wat to do? Im not rooted
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
I think this is because of stupid MTP (Media transfer mode), try to restart both of your computer and smartphone or just your smartphone, then see if it works
Sent from my Xperia LT26w Acro S using xda premium
Did that time and time again..still no use

Is your phone rooted? If so you can try sd card mounter.
Sent from my Xperia S using Tapatalk 2
Try using SD Mounter or Android Commander ( to use the last, you have to enable Debugging USB mode)
Well unfortunately im not rooted

you can flash back to .45 or .50 with flashtool, then root , install CWM , after that install .55 rooted with CWM in this topic
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005595
It's due to absence of MSC mode
However you can still view by using my Phone explorer
http://www.fjsoft.at/en/
Download my phone explorer and install it on your PC. Connect your phone and you're done
