How to would I go about un-doing this hack? It's stopping me from downloading large sized apps from the market.

I've tried clearing the cache through CWM.

re flash ROM
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Had a feeling that's what I'll have to do. It's a case of dumping the UK 2.3.4 into my firmwares on the latest flash tool right?
No worries, I luckily had a back up from before I flashed the hack. I found it was more trouble than it's worth sadly.
Are you using 2.3.4? If so the dalvik hack wont work well
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Just delete the script from /system/etc/init.d/

I'm using link2sd and wonder if I ever update to 2.3.4 if it will be a problem too. I haven't yet even figured out if I would have to update via pc or are there other options? Will I have to reroot or will it be kept? If the root goes will all the links etc break for my apps on the second sd partition?

Hi. Was wondering if someone can help me. The market is saying that alot of apps are not compatible with my device that were before (like Facebook and minecraft) not sure what caused it. But what I have done is unlocked bootloader. se based doomkernel v08 and se tweaked rom ( didn't work before I flashed rom) and a few tweaks with root.
This is starting to get annoying now so any help will be much appreciated

Sounds like the build.prop is the problem. Grab a stock one from a 2.3.4 system dump and push it to the root of /system/ folder. Then clear market data and cache and try again.

It could be the build.prop (DPI settings etc) but i solved this problem by deleting market updates

Could be a dumb question but how do I clear the market data cache, and where can I find a stock build.prop?

Unistalling updates works but the old market doesn't seem to show many apps. How can I get default build prop? For some reason I don't have a backup for it. Could someone upload one please?
Fixed: set LCD density back to 240 and got loads of app updates. Think it looks awful so plan for now is change back once a month to check for updates

When I reflash stock 2.3.3 via Flashmode and Flashtool, I get stuck in a bootloop. I'm using DooMKerneL V2 test 2 and the correct WiFi modules. The CDMA variant of course.
I'm going to try again, but I doubt it will work. Fix permissions first.
Any ideas?

You can but data won't work...if only we had a gsm converter like the cm9 fix. It would be great.

Well if thats not the cats meow lol that stinks i found that on certian roms i can use them as a back up and keep my data and wifi think that would work?
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
I also have a locked bootloader if that makes any difference
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
Lifes rough for r800x users...in the likes of roms. There are a few that work on locked bootloaders.

I found 3 that work i am currently using gbtweaked but i seen a darkforest rom for my phone tried to install And got stuck in a bootloop made me mad lol so i reflashed back to 2.3.3 and had to reroot and reinstall my cwm recovery
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
Did you try to install from sd option. I remember flashing that ROM. Its nice but full of bloat. Just don't format system.
R800x-unlocked/AOKP m6
I tried cwm wiped cache and dalvik bootloop cleared all three bootloop and tried with just a backup bootloop so i dont know. Really confused
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
Well gbtweaked is a nan backup. So in order to get it to work. Go into recovery and wipe data, cache, & dalvik then go to backup and restore. Click restore then choose the gbtweaked zip. Let it restore then reboot. You will have to reinstall recovery.
R800x-unlocked/AOKP m6
I have gbtweaked as i am sending this to you lol i really wanna try darkforest tho lol oh well guess im stuck with what i have lol
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
Most r800x roms locked bootloaders are in a nandroid backup form. Because of where the recovery is located.
R800x-unlocked/AOKP m6
So would doing a back up of darkforest work?
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
Yea I realized after I replied. What version did you try (darkforest) was it the 3.0.5? Thats the one you want to try.
R800x-unlocked/AOKP m6
And use the restore option in cwm?
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
It was 3.1.0 i tried i will look for thag version and try it thanks a million my friend
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
No I that one you have to install from sd. Only clear cache & dalvik before you install. It should bring up the aroma installer. Make sure to uncheck all gsm options.
R800x-unlocked/AOKP m6
I will try thag tonight when i get home from work dont think half hour is nuff time to try if it bootloops lol

Hi everyone,
I am new to flashing and rooting. I have rooted my Xperia S using bin4ry method (locked bootloader). I found CWM for locked bootloaders which use a .bat file to flash CWM.
I always get a bootloop by using that CWM. I got bootloop once, then I restored using flashtool. I gave a second try and I got bootloop again!!!! I got extremely annoyed. I was trying to install a flashable zip mod of Xperia T small apps.
I have wiped dalvik cache before every time I flashed. No luck.
Can anybody help me out?
Maybe the mod isn't for your system Version?

I don't know. CWM for locked bootloader hasn't been updated for a good time.

How do other people with locked bootloader use CWM?
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
Don't worry, framework-res was the problem, not cwm.
